excellent customer service, received a healthy tree with green foliage and healthy root system. Thank you Ashley

Our order was delayed and when arrived, heavily damaged and with bug activity. We received a communication that product would be delayed, however it didn't arrive by the noted date. We reached out a few days after the new date, and it was several days before we received a response. We did hear back - the day the trees arrived - about a week after the revised date. We ordered two apple trees, but arrived heavily damaged with most branches broken, and one had bug activity (chewed leaves). Neither tree looks to be in great shape. I've reached out, and we'll see how they respond. If we receive good support, I'll come back and change this review. read more

A tree was shipped months after being ordered. The tree arrived in very poor condition and did not survive the winter. The tree was replaced under warranty, but the same thing happened again and Stark Brothers refuses to do anything. It was an expensive waste of time and money. read more

My first time buying from this company. I ordered the Bushel and Berry Raspberry Shortcake variety of Raspberry for my container garden while they were having a sale for free shipping. I was thinking it would be a bit bigger than expected, but honestly that's not the problem. The box arrived badly damaged, and for some reason they triple boxed it and placed the plant inside the second box on the inside. Both the outside box and inside box were badly damaged, the tiny box that held the raspberry plant was badly damaged. The plant is damaged and had yellowing/black leaves that were dead. I cut off some of the dead/dying leaves, and left the plant inside and contacted the company immediately. I do hope that the plant continues to thrive as I will be trying to save it. They also wrapped the plant pot in plastic to keep it from spilling, which was nice. read more

Bad experience with this company. All the live roots I ordered came on time but moldy and dead. Nobody ever answered my emails or phone messages. read more

I have bought numerous items from Stark Brothers. The only complaint I have is if an item died, it was out of stock and needed to be replaced the following year. I made a huge mistake and tried a different nursery, advertising 3-year Mature plants, paid a premium (Don't want to say their name here, TYTY Nursery.... stay away). I will buy from Stark read more

I redownloaded yelp just to give a negative review from an online order placed. 2 months since order and delayed twice. No replies back from company other than automated we will get back to you for a week. I wonder why they hold onto your money so long. Lol. read more

So far it's a bad experience. The order is late and perhaps there is some reason for shipping late related to the plants but the communication is terrible! They have sent me emails every day for weeks and they're contradictory, listing the order as having 2 items instead of the 3 I've paid for, the next day listing 2 items but not the same as I've paid for. I wrote an email and got a largely irrelevant response and I can't get through on the phone. I don't plan on buying anything from them again. read more

They were the best at one time, but I have stopped using them for purchases of fruit trees. My orders started getting postponed and finally received my last order months after I was initially told it would arrive. When it arrived it was clearly diseased. I requested a replacement. After 2 months waiting it shipped. I still have not received it. They used the US postal system to ship it which they had never done in the past. Everyone knows what to expect form the USPS. At this point I don't even care if I receive it. STOP!! Buy your nursery plants and items from another business. read more

Those having trouble with getting your plants delivers. They kept pushing out the date and finally after two months, I called and talked with a live person. I had ordered 8 plants and 2 were holding up the mentors order. So I had the service rep split out those two items into a new order they honored free shipping and actually the current lower prices). After a few days the 6 plants that were available are now being shipped. The other order is still on hold but at least some are in process. I've ordered fruit trees from Stark several times and the trees have always been very healthy nice looking trees. The shipping issue is just odd. You would think that they could figure out a better approach. I think that the trees will eventually be shipped but they have a weird process that won't allow them to ship just a portion of the order. You would think after changing the delivery date 6x that they would have a process to ship what's ready ... I mean, it's annoying to the customer and they have plants that have to be maintained until they are shipped. read more

If you buy from this pos company youre a chump. They canceled my order after stringing me along for 6 months almost.

STARK SCAM...FINALLY ARRIVED... I'm gonna update my review, because the rose bushes did finally arrive, I suppose it was because of the PayPal complaint, although I can't be sure. Regardless I wont be ordering from these folks again. It took way too long nearly 2 months, and the communication was a nightmare. The rose bushes were small but seemed solid, I'm gonna plant this weekend so we shall see. Save yourself some aggravation and just shop at another retailer, maybe some one local where you have the rose in hand, after all this, I really didn't save all that much. read more

Don't ever purchase anything from. Stark bros this company is not legit bbb has all kinds of negative reports on this company . I purchased some plants I was for then stark bros played this push back game where they kept pushing the date back they'd id refund my money and then said I would get my order I. A week we'll still hasnt happend stark bros needs to get nam Busted for fraud and theft. NOT A LEGIT COMPANY FRAUDULENT AND THEFT. read more

I am sad to advise to not order from this company. I have ordered from Stark Bros for years without issue, all plants healthy, decent value for grafted small trees and variety, sending replacements when they are dead or not labeled, wonderful and quick customer service. Until the last 6 months. I have had months long order delays with no warning, no communication or responsiveness to email and phone on two orders now. Finally, today after over a month of trying to contact them I finally got them cancelled and refunded. Hopefully this changes in the future. Sad to see, but I'll be ordering elsewhere or locally moving forward. read more

They were good about warning before my purchase that I would have a two week wait, but now I'm about to get the 3rd postponement from that date. I regret the purchase because I'm about to leave the recommended planting window. Keeping fingers crossed. read more

Purchased an Asian persimmon tree, in hopes of growing persimmons! There are soooo many recipes that I could take advantage of. This will be the third attempt. so disappointed. ordered strawberry roots from them for this spring. Almost 2 months late now, and notifications of delays have bedn infrequent and communication overall terrible. i should have canceled when there was still time to order elsewhere and plant. read more

They have postponed my delivery date 5 times. My trees will be more stressed with every week that passes.

I should have read the reviews here before I ordered from them. All the YouTubers rave about how great Stark Bros is, but I'm thinking that's because they get stuff for free and don't have to wait 1.5 MONTHS to get their orders. I ordered strawberries about a month and a half ago and still haven't received them! Every time I log in the shipment date has been pushed back. I just reached out to see if I can cancel the order and get a full refund. Extremely disappointed. I will try a local nursery. read more

i do not recommen. so many other nurseries that are much better. my order was postponed 5 times, 7 weeks after my order was placed. postponing the day of the updated deliver. when I got my potted tree half of the foliage was from under the graf. the foliage above the graft was mediocre at best. I will not be using them again read more

I ordered for the second time from Stark Bros. First of all the quality of the trees and plants they sell is high and they have a good selection. All the trees and plants that I bought last time are doing great. This time I got stuff on sale and got free shipping as they had a Father's day sale. I'm super satisfied with the prices I paid. Shipping was super fast and the box was waiting for me, behind my door on Sunday morning. Perfect timing as I planted everything right away. I also love their web site, as it's full of useful information. I can go and visit my order history and get information about a tree I bought 4 years ago and is not even being sold anymore by them. Overall one of the best places to buy quality trees and plants, very reasonably priced. read more

I have waited over one month for my order that I paid in full for. I have contacted the company via email, calls, and even instant messaging on social media. They made excuses and every week they say it will be the following week but I have yet to receive anything. We are almost 5 weeks out now. I just want my money back. This company has no integrity and just takes your money and doesn't fulfill orders. And their customer service is awful. I would never buy anything from this company again. read more

Placed an order for some strawberry plants, pawpaw trees, and apple trees - everything came in except for a single apple tree. Eventually, the order for the tree was canceled and I was given the reason that they were sold out - one week later I check their inventory and they're selling the apple tree I ordered (1 left in stock) for over 4x what I initially would have paid for it ($45.99 all the way to $199.99!) I thought I found an online nursery worth dealing with, but that soured my opinion on them... shop local, guys. read more

Waited for several months only to have tham cancel most of my order. The part of the order that they didn't cancel got pushed out further for delivery.
