This Museum brought back so many memories as I owned and still have a large Lionel train collection that i used to take out every Christmas and play with. Seeing all of these different train and towns set up in one area was so cool. Hey, I would go all out on the holiday train theme if I owned this place. And in case you did not know, there are trains galore for all ages to enjoy and even buy. This being said, I would recommend coming in here for a quick visit on your way to see the Mark Twain stuff.

It was very well lit with high ceilings, was clean and smelled that way, and as a bonus all of the clothing items were sorted by size and color. This made it easy to find items and had a cool appearance to it as well. I was really impressed. Even if you generally cringe at the idea of a thrift store, even though you can find some pretty amazing stuff, give this place a try, you won't regret it.

The prices were very reasonable and they had a half price color sale when we came in. I think the color was green. I actually loved the prayer box right at the entrance. I write down a prayer on the card and put it in. I don't know, it just me feel good inside to do that.

A nice stop to learn more about Becky and Mark Twain's stories…read more While visiting the Mark Twain attractions in Hannibal, we also stopped at Becky's Home, which is located directly across the street from the Mark Twain Boyhood Home Museum and the famous white fence where visitors can have their picture taken pretending to paint it. The home has been converted into a museum and contains a surprising number of displays inside. While only the downstairs and the courtyard behind the house are open to visitors, there is still quite a lot to see. Most of the exhibits are geared toward children with interactive displays and activities, but there is also plenty of information explaining Samuel Clemens, the characters from his stories, and the real girl who inspired Becky Thatcher. Even though it seemed to be designed more with families and younger visitors in mind, I still enjoyed walking through the house and reading about the connections between the real people of Hannibal and the fictional characters that became famous around the world. The displays are well done and help bring many of Mark Twain's stories to life. I found it to be a very nice follow-up to both the Mark Twain Museum and the Boyhood Home because each attraction tells a different part of the story. Together they give you a much better understanding of the author, his childhood, the people who inspired his writing, and the town that served as the setting for so many of his books. Overall, I thought Becky's Home was well worth the visit and would definitely include it as part of any tour of Hannibal's Mark Twain attractions. Enjoy!

They also had the specialized power seat that I wanted and at a comparable price for specialized products. It's a small shop but overall good selection of items and decent selection of bikes.
