Great job cleaning, grouting and sealing our patio in April 2024. Brandon kept us informed of the progress and did a lot of the work himself. The design and installation of the patio area was done by Frisella 10 years ago and it's held up great. We appreciate Frisella staying loyal to north county by continuing to service customers in the north county area. read more

Great experience working with the sales team to select trees with my customer. 6 months later and all the tree's are still alive..

This nursery and the staff are amazing. I wanted to complete a butterfly garden. The staff took the time to walk around with me picking plants and working on a design with me. This is my go to nursery. read more

Beautiful place to wonder about when trying to get ideas for your landscaping needs. We have purchased many things here over the last several years. It is very enjoyable to take a break and have a bite to eat at their cafe. Today we had one of the best BLT's I have ever had. They offer a couple of different kinds of wine and beer as well. It's is a nice way to spend an hour or two on a weekend afternoon. read more

We entered into a $6,000 contract on Sept. 8. We were given an installation date in October. Even though the contract says, 30% on signing of contract, they asked for nearly $3,000 which we paid. When they didn't show or call on day of installation, we contacted them and after several weeks of run around, our new installation date was late November. However, it was too late to plant some of the items and they were NOW out of the willow and which were too green to get out of the field. We wrongly assumed that when we entered the contract and accepted the design provided to us, that the trees would be reserved. In February, Zach (designer/sales) asked us for more money. Sadly, my husband obliged, even though the contract states 70% upon completion. After a few phone call to confirm an installation date to finish the job, we were told mid-April. In a few days, it moved to mid May. After last fall's experience, we knew how this story was going to unfold. Now, Zach nor Mike (scheduler) will now call us and there is no incentive for them to finish the job. In addition, last fall we added on another $2,000 job which my husband paid in full (shame on him). Bottom line...do not be a nice guy and and do business on a "hand shake", FOLLOW THE CONTRACT! In addition, 2 of the trees planted in November appear dead and the rest don't look good. The trees are large and were not staked except one stake that the installer removed from our existing tree without asking permission. 3/26/21: Mr. Frisella has scheduled a completion date and Zack is to look at the dead-looking trees today. Update to follow. read more

Great selection. One of the best I've seen but some of the workers knowledge and customer service skills are lacking. We asked the lady at the register for help and she told us to come back during the week when they aren't busy. We told her that's not possible due to our schedules. They weren't that busy....so... Next, "The tree and bush expert guy" fiasco.., We were trying to get ideas for our yard and was told what we liked was "vanilla" and "domestic". Same worker also said, "I didn't hear that money was no object." We stopped to look at a mature Thuja that we were interested in. I mentioned that the price was good and wanted to get a few. The worker looks at the price tag and rips it off, "This is an old price! This Thuja is 6ft tall!" He then calls for a price check and they tell him that they don't have pricing for a 6ft only 5ft. He got irritated and drove us to another area. Anytime we asked about a bush or tree that we kind of liked, he would dismiss us and basically tell us it was too wide or tall. Which could have been true but at least talk to us and not dismiss it. The final straw was that "Americans want instant gratification! Plants take time!" I should tell you he was very American, definitely born here. At that point, we just left. We weren't getting help from this guy. Great selection and their building is beautiful but good help is probably hit or miss at best. read more

Following the posting of our 1 star review of Frisella Landscape, in which we shared our disappointment for not being contacted by anyone in Frisella's Landscape division, we were contacted by the owner, Tony Frisella. Hectic schedules made us difficult to reach but Tony was persistent in his follow up efforts and we were finally able to meet and talk about our landscape needs. We explained our disappointment after not receiving any response from the Landscape Department after three attempts at contacting them over a period of several weeks. We further explained our disappointment that having visited their huge nursery and beautiful retail store, our expectations were very high for the quality of work they could do for our landscaping project. Tony apologized for the lack of response to our contacts with them and explained what he believed caused our requests to go unnoticed. He then shared his goal of expanding their landscape business by providing quality work, standing behind their work and growing the business be customer referrals. Tony looked our yard and had a number of excellent ideas during this initial meeting for how we cold transform our yard. He also explained the process steps and timing for going from this initial meeting to a design phase and the construction phase. We shared with Tony that we always felt that the mark of a good business is not being perfect in every customer interaction, but how they respond to the inevitable errors that arise for every business. We are pleased with Tony's persistence in contacting us as he was determined to do the right thing for us as customers. We really enjoyed working with Tony a great deal and have no doubt that Frisella Landscape would proved excellent result for us. read more

When I went looking for trees and shrubs, Friscella is where I went. Their staff will drive you through the grounds on a golf cart and help you pick out not only the styles you want, but the best of the plants for each you want. These trips were 5 stars. The only reason I give it 4 stars is because I also like inexpensive annuals, and they have a limited supply of 6 packs and herbs. If I'm here, I pick up a few things, but fill in the gaps with a nursery close to home were I can get cheap plants. Still, I do love Frisella and am glad I was nearby recently and can find unusual plants that aren't just everywhere. read more

Used them to replace boxwoods and decorative tree in our bed. Shoddy work and left no instructions. Very disappointed.

I love everything about Frisellas! The plants and flowers are beautiful! I really like their pottery and flower pot collections. Their staff is so nice and accommodating!! One of the ladies I spoke to about landscaping was so knowledgeable and she had some great ideas to incorporate into my lawn....front and back! read more

I contacted Frisella Nursery to do a backyard renovation and install a masonry fireplace. Justin came out and drew a basic plan with limited details. After a number of changes we agreed on a design. I asked for a detailed contract with timeline. I sent a copy of credit card and told home to charge the card after we had a signed contract. We never had a signed contract and agreed upon timeline but 5 minutes after that call he charged my card over $18,000. It's now a month later later There is still no signed contract, no work being done or no contact from Justin and they have my deposit that was charged without my permission Needless to say I would not consider using this company and don't give them any money without a signed contract and timeline Unfortunately, I feel they are taking deposits to cover existing jobs. I used the company years ago and had great results. This not the case any longer. Read other reviews before considering Frisella Landscaping. read more

Wow, reading Linda A.'s comment I thought it was me writing. It has been years and still no response. We actually went through the births of Tony's children because it was so much time. To date they owe us so much money for repair. I am thinking about reporting them to Better Business Bureau. read more

We had two trees planted today by Frisella. Picked out the Dawn Redwoods at the end of June, but it was not good planting weather, so we got on the fall delivery schedule. They did a wonderful job, also fertilized, and top dressed the root ball. We are very pleased. Worth every penny! read more

I have messaged Frisella a few times to get a quote and they have never responded. If this is the service I get before I give them money I would hate to imagine the service I would get when something goes wrong. read more

Great lunch menu. I ordered the roast beef sandwich. It was delicious. It came with dip and chips that were really good also. Their coffee is great and cookies great! Their nursery plants are reasonably priced. I usually buy plants and have lunch there also. They have jewelry and home items inside that are really nice. They also have garden classes occasionally. I really like this nursery. read more

My husband and I are thrilled with the outcome of our landscaping project! Tony Frisella created an amazing plan for our 3 acre + lot which turned scrubby brush & weeds into a lush resort-like getaway. The enormous boulders and oversized evergreen trees are very impressive. Tony and his team are responsive, professional, and full of creative ideas. We couldn't be happier and can't wait to see the waterfall that will be installed around the backyard pool. The landscape design center in Defiance, MO is worth the trip, even the cafe there has delicious food. read more

I used this nursery for landscaping because I've always liked plants selection and the sales staff seemed knowledgeable. I called for an appt and was hooked up with Bobbie one of their designers and she drew up plans. I then was was contacted frequently to sign contract so that it could be done in early spring. Finally in late Aug I went to the nursery to find out why it still hadn't been done and only then did I hear from Bobbie who acted like I had been on the schedule. The job was completed two days before we left for vacation and they had failed to install the soaker hoses so I had to hire someone to water while I was away. Then this past spring when the soaker hoses had been installed half of which were on top of the mulch and a quarter of the plants had died I called Bobbie who did not bothere to come check on the plants but expected me to take numerous pic and send them to her. I could go on but needless to say I would not ever recommend them. The roses they installed have never bloomed. Very frustrating and expensive. Ch were read more

Loved Tammie's landscaping design and people skills. Sometimes did not return calls promptly. The two laborers worked really hard, but the head guy treated me like a pain in the neck when I asked 2 bushes to be moved which were clearly off center. And the guys were at least 2 hours late arriving each morning with no communication about it. read more
