We used Shah and Associates for trust planning, after consultations with several other lawyers…read more While Shah was not the cheapest, he was the most honest and cordial, even during the free consultations, and was extremely knowledgeable. He told us what needed to be done at the time to protect our assets and what we did not have to necessarily pay extra for, and explained everything in a calm and detailed manner. His paralegal and other colleagues were very friendly, efficient, and easily reachable. If this was not enough, if you use their service you have a year to contact them with any questions you have related to your legal manner, theoretically. "Theoretically" is used because asking questions after your matter is resolved and the transaction finalized was like pulling teeth. As we had to follow-up multiple times and never received a response to some of our questions, I don't know how useful this plan is in actuality. I am a firm believer that one's word is his or her bond, and advertising a service without actually delivering on it is rather disconcerting, and, some would say, unprofessional. In addition, it differs drastically from the day after our initial meeting with Shah, when he personally contacted us to check if we had any questions or concerns. Perhaps I should have known better given the profession, but it looked like Shah was above that. Overall, I would use Shah and Associates again, but you may want to make sure you ask all the questions you have before concluding business. If not for the disappointing post-payment experience, he would be well-deserving of 5 stars. Note: This is an update of a previous review that could not be edited, to which Shah & Associates did respond.

I especially appreciate the time Neel takes to explain concepts and ensuring that all of our question are answered and we are comfortable with our plan. EP was not something we were looking forward to doing, but it's been an absolute pleasure working with Neel!

Being a private, frugal, middle aged female, I am doing this review, only because, DANIEL SWEETSER,…read moreADV. is all heart, meticulous in follow ups (which is a KEY factor in the success of a case), with an attention to detail that can usurp the opponent. Strategic, tactical with the end game always in focus, is Mr. Sweetser. He is phenomenal with civil cases such as finance, transactions, commercial and probably anything he sets his mind to take. He only takes on a case, he believes he is a good fit for and can win. Mr. SWEETSER IS a diamond in the haystack. The haystack of lawyers, that how do you know if someone is good or not?? I interviewed a few laywer's before picking Mr. SWEETSER. MR. Lytle, a colleague of Mr. Sweetser is charming, polished and impressed me professionally in court when I was shopping for a lawyer. His command of the facts, knowledge of law and relationship with the judge and other lawyers is impressive. I sat in court and listened to see how lawyers speak, how they relate to the opponent, the command of facts in the case and how they interacted with the judge. I chose THIS FIRM, because they are good in action, at court, where it counts!! All good lawyers, have a relatively high hourly fee. So its really about, who is going to do a great job, efficient and OPTIMALLY obtain a good result. I looked for a review of Mr. Sweetser and could not find any, so I hope this brings exceptional value to Mr. Sweetser, as I value what he did for me. He is focused, meticulous and works hard in getting all the facts, asks all the questions that, whether you like them or not, gets prepared, which is key for every stage in a case. Mr. Sweetser likes to do the best, its more than just a "job". Pros: 1. Focused, meticulous, commands the facts and uses them well. 2. Good with reading a judge, his opponent and what to say, when. 3. Has a BIG heart, empathizes, nor does that interfere with his work. 4. Appreciates every hour he bills and EFFICIENTLY uses time 5. Gives heart advice on case management that is best for client, regardless of consequences. Cons: 1. High hourly rate --------------------- 2 more notes if I am already doing this: (1) The administration staff were good support, PA Karen, PA Anne and Matthew the accounts receivable, were tactful, courteous and professional. (2) Whats important is not how much your lawyer likes you or you like them, its important to be prepared, efficient and get the best return on investment for the results you seek. Mr. Sweetser did that for my situation. Should you chose to provide him with all the back-round and facts and he choses to take on your case, he may do that for you.
