The tickets carried 2 points each, and the fines were $330-$800. In our consult, Richard said he would get two tickets dropped, and the third ticket amended to no points. He cautioned me that the prosecutor will give me a higher fine to drop the ticket. I was excited at the prospect so I hired him on the spot. I didn't speak to him again until the day before the court appearance. He informed me that he was able to get one ticket dropped, but there would be no points on my record. I'll admit I was disappointed that I had to plead guilty to two tickets, but I was still very grateful for no points. On the day of the court appearance, it was another attorney that I never spoke to before. He spoke with the prosecutor just before court began. I pled guilty and had to pay $230 in fines. Considering the $450 surcharge for 6 points & fines over $400, it was worth it to hire an attorney. Admittedly, I could have spoken with the prosecutor and negotiated a plea before seeing the judge. However, I wasn't willing to take that risk! Overall, I was pretty satisfied & hopeful that I'll never be in traffic court again.

They requested I take a breathalyzer test - in New Jersey, refusal is automatic loss of license - so technically I didn't have a choice. My breathalyzer reading was over double the legal limit... I had high doubts I would be able to beat this and was facing loss of license for a year (due to the high reading) and a mandatory device installed in the vehicle after. I travel over a 100 miles daily for work so to lose my license would be devastating not only for my job, but to my family/personal life as well. After contacting 7 different lawyers, Edward was hands down the lawyer I felt most comfortable with. I retained his services for my defense after the following, in no particular order: 1) Reading the reviews on several websites of him & his services. 2) Obtaining his expert advice/consultation. 3) His history with law enforcement & practice. After retaining Ed and getting to know him as the process moved along, I felt more and more confident with my decision to utilize him in my defense. Fast forward some months, Mr. Janzekovich and I had my day in court. Edward was not only able to get the charge dropped, but the others they "tacked" on as well - I walked out of the court without having to pay anything! His fees were more than acceptable given my situation, which also helped in contributing to my decision on retaining him. If I ever have need of a lawyer in the future again, my research has already been done. Ed, I just wish to thank you - and to contribute to these reviews, which helped ME in my decision-making process.

Our son was wrong and we were very unhappy of the situation he put himself into along with several of his friends. We were almost ready to plead him guilty on this misdemeanor charge but we were afraid on how it would affect him in the future with employment. Mr. Janzekovich received and read the police reports and pointed out there may be a procedural problem with the search. We were very relieved to hear this and I was glad we took the time and money to hire Mr. Janzekovich. He gave us his personal cell phone number and was always available and accessible to discuss our questions and concerns. On the day of initial court appearance it became very obvious after watching him interact with the other attorneys, prosecutor and arresting officer that his knowledge and experience as a police officer allowed him to identify police procedural issues with the case and he argued the charge should be dismissed. The municipal prosecutor was reluctant to drop the case but Mr. Janzekovich persisted. The case was rescheduled and Mr. Janzekovich repeated his argument before the judge and prosecutor in a pre-trial hearing. The judge agreed about the "technicality" and the case was dropped completely. Initially I thought we would receive a reduced plea bargain, but I never thought the whole case would be thrown out. We are very relieved and thankful for Mr. Janzekovich.
