The best Summer Camp in Brooklyn by far. As a picky parent, an overprotected father. I was able to trust Stargazer Day Camp with my son. I review a few camps in the area, even put a nonrefundable down payment on another camp before I found Stargazer. I read about Stargazer Day Camp on a parent review why I decided to call Coach Gordon, Mr. Gordon gave me a breakdown of the daily Camp activities, the fees and a history of the Camp. What I also like is the price is fair and flexible compares to other day camps. I was leery that my 5-year-old son would not adjust on his own, but after the first few days, I saw the glow on his face when I ask him how does he like camp. The Stargazer staff is very professional, positive and respectful. In my own opinion the Stargazer team seems to have an unwritten policy; kids first, kids second and kids third. I am just fine with that - LOL but on a more serious note! Coach Gordon, Coach G, and Coach Thomas to name a few are all first class "Camp Leaders" and directors. My son woke me up on a Saturday morning wanted to go to Stargazer Day Camp, he was very disappointed to know that camp is not on the weekend. I had his birthday party at the camp. The staff is so supportive; they went out of their comfort zone to make sure that my child's party was one to remember. To this day he talks about it. My son became a top class "fashion designer" for a day...lol. He was able to color one of his least favorite shirts to now his favorite that he wants to wear now every day - just a few of the fun activities that Stargazer provide for the kids. If you want to feel comfortable at work knowing that your child/children are safe and having a good time I highly recommended Stargazer Day Camp. I am here as a parent to let you know that my son enjoys been at Stargazer Day Camp - its worth it! Every week there is a trip for the kids. My son loves the journey. The trips are always at great parks where the kids will have fun along with the great experiences. Their transportation of choice for the children is like Campus Coach bus line, soft cotton seats with air conditioning where your child will be comfortable. The staff keeps me informed daily on the conveniently bright wheel app if there is anything significant updates regarding my son. The app also works great with the bus commute back and forth on trips. If there is a delay, I am informed via the bright wheel app, save me time from going to the camp location and wait. The staff works hard to make sure that your kids are safe while having lots of fun. My son missed his camp leader, coach G the first week after camp ended....World class staff! Hello all. If you are looking for an AMAZING summer camp experience for your little one, STARGAZER is the summer camp for you! As a parent of an amazing 5 year old, my goal for the summer of 2017 was to introduce him to the summer camp experience. With that decision, came hesitation and concern about his safety; and I am confident that any parent could relate. Well, after enrolling him in STARGAZER Day Camp and attending the mandatory orientation session, my fears went right out the window. Gordon Henry, Director of STARGAZER is unbelievably passionate about the manner in which the summer camp operates. He and his team are PHENOMENAL, and their dedication and contributions allow the camp to run like a well-oiled machine. For example, one could imagine the difficulty of organizing trips for numerous campers. Well, Gordon and his team have mastered this, and make safety the first priority, and fun the next. I attended the first two trips with my son to witness the manner in which they monitored the children and was truly blown away. Gordon, G-Star, JuJu, Thomas and the rest of team not only made it a fun experience, but made sure all children were constantly monitored and most importantly safe. Gordon and his team also assist the campers in developing great behavioral skills by utilizing a camp chant that results in all children listening intently to what is being said by the camp staff. I have witnessed Gordon mention to the children they have to be on their best behavior even if their parents are present. Note, parents were encouraged to accompany their children on trips, and participate in a camper/parent/staff event at the end of the year. This event was absolutely AMAZING!! The day included a potluck luncheon which encouraged interaction between all parents, and a day filled with physical activities for all. May I say, "FUN, FUN, and more FUN"?! This is the first summer that my children as well as my niece have attended Stargazer and they will be attending next summer YAY. The camp was very convenient to my house and that made getting them there and picking them up a breeze. My babies loved their counselors and my daughter benefited so much from being in the dance program headed by Ms. Stony. I am actually looking to continue her dance lessons with Ms. Stony throughout the year. My son raves about his counselor Coach Thomas, who is such a great model for the young boys that are under his wing. 9/21/2017 This camp is the best. It was my daughter first summer camp and I was a little scared at first but I really think I found the best camp for her. The staffs were very friendly and helpful. From the first day the camp director was very helpful guiding me through the application process and continued to be helpful and cooperative through the summer. This camp had so many different activities for the children to do. I was so amazed with the camp and the variety of trips they planned for the kids. When my daughter got sick and she couldn' t attend for a week they were very helpful and took into considerations. My daughter was very happy and she came home everyday talking about her new friends, the activities and the new move she learned from dance. She had a great time and experience at Stargazer camp. Stargazer camp is beyond the best camp in Brooklyn! they are caring, mindful, loving, respectful and you cannot ask for anything better for your child. Coach Gordon and Gaelle are the most attentive coaches Ive met by far. I would never trust any other camp with my child. My son just asked me the other day when he will start camp because he misses all of his friends and coaches. He has been with Stargazer for 2 years and this summer will be his 3rd and he is 6 years old. I have never met such wonderful people in my life who actually care and help when you need it. My child has been with this camp for the past 4 years and she looks forward to spending her summer with the Stargazer Day Camp team. They are gentle and kind also very supportive to the children. They provide a wonderful and safe atmosphere for my child to grow and meet new friends and build great friendships. I couldn't imagine a better camp to have my child enjoy her upcoming summers. Stargazer Day Camp is a well organized camp. I love the fact that I can leave my daughter and I know she will be ok! This will be her 3rd summer there and she is so looking forward to it. They have a calendar of activities that's very creative. Now lets discuss the staff , they are all amazing , professional and compassionate , I love how they work and care for all the children. This was my daughter's first time at a summer camp. With this being her first experience, I was VERY NERVOUS about her transition to a different environment. I initially inquired about Stargazer Day Camp because of the great reviews. But what sealed the deal for me was the amount of time that the Camp Director, Gordon Harry gave me to ask him a MILLION questions and answering each and every one. My son had an awesome summer thanks to all the staff at Stargazer. He came home each day sweaty and dirty which tells me he was busy having fun! He was excited each day to go to camp and see his coaches, and upset each afternoon when I picked him up, claiming I got him to early. The level of enthusiasm that all the coaches maintained throughout the summer was incredible! From the first day to the last there was a strong sense of camp spirit! The coaches made each day fun and exciting for the kids. I've been with Stargazer from Day 1! And each year they get better and better. The staff is extremely friendly and professional, while making sure the kids are having an awesome time. The TRIPS are family friendly, meaning they invite us to attend. The TALENT SHOW and PROM are some other highlights as well. The fun is a really great aspect of the camp, but what keeps me coming back is their attention to SAFETY. It's very calming, as a parent, to know that you can place your child in an establishment you can trust. Coach Gordon is always only a phone call away--very accessible. As the "Anxious Mom" who was sending her son to camp for the first time ever, I feel blessed to have found Stargazer. Coach Gordon, Gaelle, Ryan and the other counselors welcomed my son (and me!) and made him feel safe. When I was concerned, Gordon was attentive and responsive. When I had questions, Gaelle answered them. When my son began to talk about camp, he connected immediately with Ryan because of their love of exercise and healthy habits. . My daughter and son attended Stargazer Day Camp for the first time this summer. They are already looking forward to summer 2018. The summer camp experience helped my 5 yr transition easily to Kindergarten in a large elementary school after being in a small, intimate preschool for a three years. The camp helped to enhance my 7 years old confidence because she was able to interact with kids her age and some older children without the formal rigidity of regular school. My child has been going to Stargazer day camp for 2 years now. He is very excited when the summer comes around because he enjoys going to this camp. The Director Mr. Gordon and his staff are great people. Its a family friendly atmosphere. The counselors are awesome and it shows that they truly care about the kids. Stargazers is a great camp for kids. The coaches are young, energetic and very friendly. I have to extend special thanks to Miss Althea, the dance teacher. She had to put a lot of had work, love and dedication in her job to get my girl to dance so gracefully in such a short time. Erin loves her. This was the third summer that my little one attended Stargazer Day Camp and I have to say that I couldn't be any happier! From the director to the staff, they are all beyond amazing and provide such a great experience. I have to say that the field trips were the best. I actually found a camp that my daugther(Nyema) love. Today was the talent show, she was apart of the big kids dance performace. This was my daughters first summer at Stargazer. My daughter never complained about not wanting to attend camp she always had a fun and active day at camp. Stargazer had fun trips for the children. The director coach Gordon is concerned with the safety of the children, when my daughter had an incident and I contacted him after hours on a Friday evening he responded and troubleshooted the problem right away. Amazing camp... First day I visited the camp I knew my daughter was gonna love it. All the staffs were very friendly and courteous. Really eager to help you and the kids in every way possible.
