Upon arrival I saw bikes for the campers to ride and a horse. The most beautiful part of the camp is the endless lake. There are boats for the children to row and a clean lake. I didnt have a chance to eat in the dinning hall but there was a beautiful rustic fire place. As a native New York city kid I wish I was able to attened a camp like this in my youth. I feel it would have exposed me to another world we dont see in the hustle and bustle of the boroughs. Initially, he was having problems adjusting, and came home saying he did not want to go back, which was very out of character for him--he had been attending playgroups and preschool since 18 months, he is not shy and has never had separation anxiety or problems with new environments. As a concerned parent, I immediately raised it with the camp and inquired about possibly getting a refund should my son continue to not adjust well. The camp administration reassured me that some campers do have difficulty adjusting in the first week, and to give them some time. If after a week, my child was still having problems, they would work with me on getting a refund for the remaining weeks. In the first week, they helped my son make new friends, they gave me updates on his progress, and even took short videos for me to show me how he was doing at camp during the day. When my son had a small accident at camp, they immediately called me and left a message, and provided a full report on his small injury at pickup. My son has since made friends at summer camp, and is truly enjoying it. I know that he is in good hands. The level of care and customer service is commendable--a huge change from Hong Kong, which is where we live most of the year. In addition, I particularly appreciate the neighborhood feel and diversity at CECC. It's wonderful that my child gets an opportunity to make a whole new group of friends with children from diverse backgrounds. CECC is helping my child develop social skills that he will surely leverage and appreciate throughout his life. I'm glad we stuck with it, and I'm sure that both he and I will be sad when we have to leave at the end of the summer. I highly recommend CECC.

This is one of the least expensive camps I have found (and I have researched and researched) and each year they evolve and grow for the better. A lot of kids go there, I am not good at estimating but i know its hmm over 500?, all the counselors know me and my kids by name and so do the administrators. One year my daughter broke her leg at the very beginning of camp, the staff worked with me, gave me a full refund and inquired often about her well being. My kids have been exposed to so many different skills and sports. I think this camp is great, and it is worth the price, actually they could easily charge so much more for what they offer.
