These guys are great! This was our second time buying a car from Starfire and it was an easy, pleasant experience all the way through. David was super honest, patient, and helpful during the whole process. We got a great deal on our trade in and are very happy with our new (used) car. This isn't a place where anyone is going to mess with you or be pushy about a sale, but the expectation is that you've done your homework and come in prepared. They don't want to waste your time and you shouldn't waste theirs. 10/10 would recommend anyone looking for affordable, reliable, used vehicles should buy from Starfire. read more

I received title promptly and smoothly. You guys rock!! Car is still a dream. Can't thank you dudes enough. read more

As they indicate, they are not your average car dealer. You should know what you want and what you will get with a high-mileage vehicle. I worked with David and Abe and had a great experience. They were patient and answered all questions. Again, I am their target buyer, so it works out perfectly. read more

I was really disappointed. No phone for help. They want your money and do not want to talk to you. Stay away is my advise

I checked out an Suv. David was cool... nice guy... easy to deal with. Let me drive the suv as much as i chose. Autos here priced good. They are good to go but this dealer has an unorthodox way of operating. They operate this way as they cut costs that they pass off to the consumer. read more

The Dakota truck was as advertised. It had a little tic tic in the engine but ran well in the test drive. I decided to buy it. I put some gas in it then drove about 8 miles down the road and the engine blew up. I informed Starfire and they just said we sold it as is. So no help from them and I was stuck with no way home 100 miles away. read more

Bought an old Celica from them. I knew I was taking a risk, but the first thing my mechanic told me was that the smog check sticker on it was clearly fake because there was no way that car passed a smog check the month before especially when the salesperson told me the car hadn't been driven for a month yet passed a smog check a month before. So apparently, it passed a smog inspection, sat there for 30 days, then somewhere from me buying it and driving it home became an exhaust filled mess. 4 months later (just outside of the 3-month warranty I bought, which the salesperson tried to get me to purchase the cheaper one that doesn't cover gaskets) the head gasket blew. My mechanic told me the car had no thermostat and strongly suspects that someone was trying to pass a bomb off, but he couldn't prove it. The owner of the business says that people shouldn't expect anything else from old cars, and I absolutely agree. No one should patronize their business, they should go somewhere more reliable with newer, better inspected cars. read more

I have never written a bad review of any business on any platform until today. I visited this page after a text exchange with Starfire and was not surprised to see how many other bad reviews they have earned! Even better is their obnoxious replies to all the bad reviews, lol. Starfires' setup is designed to make the experience of car sales EASY FOR THEM NOT FOR YOU. Starfire refused to answer any questions I had about the mechanical condition of the car and kept telling me that all the information I needed to know was on the website. Only superficial and positive information is listed in the sales copy on their website, obviously. When I asked them for relevant information such as the condition of the engine mounts and water pump, they came at me with this attitude of like "what do you want from me? We have over 500 cars... how are we supposed to do inspections on them all?" HOW AMAZING IS THAT? So let's think about this business model: buy a car wholesale, don't do a thorough inspection, then set a price that is fair ONLY if the vehicle were to be in excellent condition. Be inflexible on the price. Expect the customer to deal with the rest. How are we as buyers supposed to agree to go out and see a vehicle that has a fixed price but not a propper appraisal? Their business practice seems like a bad combination of them knowing their vehicles aren't reliable and a brat mentality of expecting the world to bend itself to their needs without regard to the needs of their customers. Getting a fair deal on a used car has never been an easy feat. Starfire seems to have found a way to make it even harder. Good luck! read more

The guy that owns this place is a complete CLOWN! I made an appointment yesterday to view a truck they had which I saw on Auto Trader, BEFORE I checked the Yelp reviews. Well after I checked the reviews I promptly cancelled the appointment. I then got a text message verifying that I was cancelling the appointment and asking why. I explained to them why after reading their reviews I was very apprehensive to do business with them. The owner then proceeded to argue with me via text saying that 90% of the yelp reviews are from people who have never bought cars from them, and after dealing with him via text I can see why!! Completely unprofessional and confrontational, and blames everyone for their poor reviews and takes no responsibility for the way he treats people. Do yourself a favor and avoid this idiot at all costs. PLEASE read the reviews before you attempt to do business with these people. Also they have a goofy system where you have to watch a video and make an appointment online, then text to verify the appointment before they actually confirm the appointment. Another goofy rule they have, if you do not buy the vehicle on the first visit they will not sell it to you??? Very bizarre and not customer centric way to do business. It is no wonder this guy has so many bad reviews. Go do business someplace else where they care about customer service, because these people don't!! read more

Hi Abe, No one threw a tantrum at your shop. I gladly walked away and purchased a 2003 beetle for the same price as yours with less miles. The problem wasn't David's unwillingness to accept a $500 discount on the car. The problem was David's rude remarks toward me. He did not offer any solutions or even offer me to look at other cars. He simply was rude and gaslighting, similar to your comment below. No one would want to interact with anyone the way your staff has. It's unprofessional and inconsiderate. But gladly I found a car with much better quality, much better staff, and from a different shop. And here's another review to help future customers beware of the issues your staff has. I wouldn't trust anyone with your type of behavior. read more

Absolutely thrilled with my experience there. They are kind of a no nonsense outfit, so if you're just trying to go around and kick tires then you won't do well. If you're ready to buy and looking for a great deal, this is the place. Their cars are super aggressively priced, it's a no frills dealership that's appointment only, hence the good deals. They had exactly what I was looking for: a $3800 lifted suburban with low miles, basically the best deal possible. What I didn't want was to pay double for a dealership nearby, cold bottled water, and a salesman I. A suit. I just wanted a good price and that's what I got. The car looked great for $3800, It probably had about $3000 worth of suspension and tire work done so it was a total no briainer. Almost nothing worked: AC was out, gauge cluster didn't work, radio didn't work, key fob etc... but the engine and transmission were good and it only had 128k miles, and honestly for $3800 I would have been happy if the car was simply running and drivable. They practically gave the car away at that price. It turned out the gauge cluster just needed a $1 fuse and a ground wire for everything else to work. The experience was incredibly smooth and no nonsense. Made an appointment, Ubered there, car exceeded my expectations, he tossed me the key and I test drove it, bought it 10 min later and after 15 min of paperwork I was out the door with a big smile on my face. Took it to a mechanic next day, he replaced a fuse and a ground, changed some fluids and filters, and gave the whole thing a thorough inspection. Mechanically it's in immaculate shape, cost me $120 for all the work and now I have a completely bulletproof lifted monster truck for almost nothing. Couldn't be happier If you want the absolute best deal you can get but still deal with a dealership, this is the place. The whole point of this dealership is VALUE. If you want salespeople wearing suits, huge fancy dealership with a Starbucks cafe inside and other things that add overhead and cost to the cars they sell, go to fletcher jones. This place is no nonsense, they keep overhead low so they can have the best prices, that means you have to make an appointment, drive a little off the beaten path, deal with a no nonsense sales process where you're expected to come, inspect a car, and make a purchase. This is all so they can sell cars cheap. I saw some of the negative reviews before purchasing and It's obvious they are going to get a lot of crazies selling cars at these kinds of price points. I know that yelp has a way of highlighting negative reviews like these so I wasn't deterred. If you are ready to buy and not into wasting everyone's time, you will have a smooth and easy purchasing process and get an unbeatable price on a quality car. read more

I found this beauty on their website and wanted to see it. It was exactly as described and what the photos looked like. All records were accurate. We made an appointment the night before and confirmed it with the owner via text (I followed their instructions with zero problems). When we arrived, the car was there for us in front. I checked in with the lady and she said go have fun with the car. We Inspected it thoroughly without anyone hassling us. When we were ready to go for the test drive, he took a copy of my license and we went without a hitch. Came back, spoke with Brandon. He was polite and professional. He completed the paperwork and we were out the door with the car in 20 minutes. It's the perfect setup for buying a car you have your eye on. Notes: this isn't a car Dealership, it's more of a car lot. Don't expect to go in and just walk around looking for cars. All the cars are detailed very thoroughly on their site. I went in knowing I want the car if it was in the condition I expected (which it was). The staff is Polite and they are not pushy at all. I can appreciate it. The negative comments are from people who can't follow basic instructions. Make an appointment online, pick the cars you want to see, watch the short video, and text the number once you confirmed the appointment. It's so simple! Thanks Brandon, we love the car. read more

I gotta say - I was skeptical at first. The deals on Starfire Auto's site seemed WAY too good to be true and, honestly, their purchasing process seemed too... easy. Nope. I'm here to say it really IS that easy. I had already researched a car on their site when I booked my appointment, so I knew which model I wanted when I came in. I was in and out of the shop in less than an hour, and I left very happily driving away in a newly purchased Saturn. They stay true to their word and what is posted on the Starfire Auto site, and everything about the Saturn was exactly as advertised (price, condition of car, etc.). Additionally, the staff is LOVELY - extremely helpful, accommodating, and friendly. David, their lead salesman, worked with me and made me feel comfortable with the buying process. His great attitude and transparency made me appreciate Starfire Auto even more. I will definitely be coming back here the next time I need to purchase a car! read more

They have a lot where they rent parking spaces for RV, boat or whatever else you need to store. My 2021 Keystone Cougar 26RBS was stolen from the Starfire lot. DON'T PARK anything there. It's totally unsecured and they don't care. It's your problem. read more

Scam. Just by reading the bad reviews and how old Abey blames the customer for buying a broken car from them, and then actually using the rationalization that "well we told you we might sell you trash, and it's an old car, so what did you expect?" Really I could puke, if ANY car place doesn't allow for a Pre purchase Inspection, OFF SIGHT at a mechanic of your choosing, you will get ripped off by them any chance they get, just do not buy from these gas lighting clowns! They are clearly NOT inspecting these vehicles before putting them up for sale, if anything they are obscuring issues, just read closely the bad reviews and it's obvious. read more

I have to say David Bischof is one professional person, I was very pleased with the experience overall, thank you again David.

I can't thank Starfire enough for their help; going above and beyond to get me into the perfect car for me as quickly as possible. Everyone I dealt with was incredibly helpful and provided me with excellent communication from start to finish. This certainly isn't your traditional dealership, so you won't find anyone pressuring you into a car you don't want or a financial situation you can't afford. Do your homework, don't be a dummy, and you'll drive away from Starfire with zero buyer's remorse. Also, they have a super cute office dog. Bring treats!!! I am updating my review because I purchased another car here a few weeks ago. A Chevy Malibu 2007. Since I already knew the process it was very fast and easy getting in and out of the dealership. I purchased the Chevy with a certified check so I knew the exact amount before getting to the dealership. I would highly recommend if you're not taking a mechanic to google a check list for things you want to take a look at when buying a used card. Sometimes there might be tiny things we can easily forget, google a check list & take a pen! This 2nd time around there were so many minor issues that very quickly added up and resulted in more out of pocket cost after purchasing. But I mean, what do you expect? Some of these cars are pretty old, it's normal. Just do your research, and take your time checking out the car, it will be sold as is. Lastly, the chevy had a windshield that was cracked (knew coming in). We took it to a repair shop they work with and paid $150 to repair. Originally was told it would be $120 but I ended up contacting Starfire Auto about new price and received a $30 check from them. Do not hesitate to reach out to them when you have an issue. read more

I recommend you buy a car with Starfire Auto! Even though it's not your usual car dealership, it's even better! The descriptions of the cars online are very detailed. Some of them even tell you what kind of car it is that best fits your needs! The owner is very nice, and trustworthy. You can have a conversation with him and he really cares about what he does! It's used car buying made simple, they put the car at rock bottom prices so takes out the guess work if you're getting a good deal or not. The employees were very friendly and down to earth. The process was easy and transparent. The whole website sign up appointment thing is a little annoying but that was just a small thing to do to get a good deal. I am so grateful to both Abe & Kay for helping me through the process of buying my mother a safe/reliable car. After making an appointment with them (through the website) and discussing what I had in mind, Abe guided me in what he professionally thought was the best choice for her. Kay assisted me with getting all of the paperwork and financial matters taken care of discretely so that I could return on a different day and surprise my mother. As you can see, she really had no idea except that we were browsing for cars, until I handed her the keys. The personal service & patience with me was amazing as they truly cared to help me with my situation. I never felt rushed, the pricing of the car was very reasonable and the car is great! I do not think I would've had this experience if I went elsewhere to shop around for other used cars. read more

Do not buy a pig in a poke. You show up at Starfire with a cashier's check, and the owner pesters you for confirmation. Then you have a chance to drive the car 4 miles, turn around and come back, then fill out paperwork renouncing any ability to appeal the sale, which is 'as is.' In my case, the motor had been pumped full of enough goo to mask the blown head gasket for about 500 miles, while also destroying the radiator and water pump. A glitch on the test drive created a need for Starfire to get their top-notch mechanic to address the problem (check engine light), and they promised to replace a part and put it in the truck so I could confirm the work had been done. No such part was left in the truck, and the actual mechanic who replaced the worthless motor confirmed that no new part had been installed. Anyone buying a car here gets what they deserve, I suppose. Needless to say, I recommend buying from an actual dealer, and take the car to a trusted mechanic who will do an actual analysis before you purchase anything from anyone who demands payment while guaranteeing nothing. You get what you pay for: I got a very expensive boat anchor. read more

Just bought a car from here on 1/18/21. Car broke down and motor doesn't work in only a little over a month of use. Paid a little over $4,000. It was for my teenager that needed a car for work. I asked for the most reliable car within our budget. This one was the top most reliable they suggested. I'm very disappointed. I notified them and they sent me to reach out to some mechanics that know them and also a link to their website that says your screwed after you pay and leave and sign an as is. Of course I have to pay to get it fixed. I've been quoted 1600 for repairs. Do not buy a lemon. This place really screwed us. They have good reviews. I drove my 80+ year old friend from church 4 hours each way to come to Starfire Auto to look for a nice compact sedan. Owner Abe and our salesman Branden were so accommodating to us. They had 4 cars ready for test driving within our price range and low mileage requirements. We drove all 4 cars and ended up buying a nice Kia Optima. The Optima is smooth, peepy, gets great gas mileage and quiet on the road. My friend Marge is so thrilled with the car and purchasing experience. Take the bad reviews of Starfire with a grain of salt. Lots of entitled people who just don't get their way of doing business... ANYWAY. My experience with Starfire was amazing. I needed a car to take me from Point A to Point B, nothing too fancy. I selected three cars, and made the appointment to come in. When I arrived, there were four cars waiting for me. The salesperson, David, told me that he selected a fourth car for me based on what I had chosen for the other three, because he thought that it might be a better fit. Umm, hello, how nice is that? I test drove the other three first because I thought I knew best. And then I drove the car that David selected. And immediately, I understood why he selected this one for me. It was far superior to the other three in terms of both mileage and the way it ran. And the price was within the same range as the others, too. I walked out less than an hour later with my "new" car. I also have to stress how honest David was throughout the whole process. Starfire Auto is not shy about the issues that their cars might have. David pointed out several things that were less-than-optimal about all four cars that I test drove. But that's what you get when you're buying a cheap used car- you can't expect perfection. And in most cases, you can't even expect to have an honest salesperson on the other side of the transaction. But that was certainly not the case at Statfire. I bought my car in early July, and it hasn't given me any problems over the past 3 months. I wanted to wait a while before leaving this review, just to make sure. Anyway, again, if you don't like their approach to business, I suggest going elsewhere. But if you want a quick, honest, up-front experience, I'd highly suggest that you select your next used car from Starfire. read more

Had a great experience with David at Starfire Auto. No pressure whatsoever, and the website literally explains absolutely everything about the business, purchase practices and appointments. About 2 years ago my son was graduating from high school, in need of his own wheels, and had limited funds. We searched online and discovered Starfire. Unique business model, but it was just what we were looking for. Clear communication, No pressure, it seemed they were most interested in not wasting their time, which was great because we didn't want to waste our time either. We found 2 cars in their inventory which we liked the looks of. When we arrived the cars were just as described on the website. We test drove, inspected the cars, and decided to purchase one of them. The process was smooth, quick, and hassle free. Again it seemed the primary goal was to not waste anyone's time. The title arrived in the mail shortly afterwards. My son purchased a Japanese import with about 180K miles on it. It needed some work after we initial purchased it, but other than that, it has been a reliable car. He is still driving it 2 years later. Great car buying process, but I recommend that potential buyers keep in mind that the cars being sold at Starfire are generally near the end of their economic life. So do your research, inspect the cars carefully, know a mechanic you trust, and be prepared to have some maintenance costs if you plan to operate the car for any length of time. That just comes with operating a 15-20 year old automobile. read more

Scheduled an appointment to view 3 different vehicles and was planning on buying 2. Received an extremely RUDE email from Abe Osman asking why I was looking at 3 different types of cars, and requiring that I JUSTIFY WHY. When I didn't reply immediately I received a text message saying my meeting would be canceled if I did not reply to the email. I replied to the email explaining that I was looking to purchase 2 of the 3 vehicles and that is why the cars were different prices and types, and let him know that I didn't appreciate his rudeness to a potential customer. I then receive a meeting cancellation notice - not a phone call, email explanation or text - just an Outlook meeting cancellation. If I could give this a zero star I would! This establishment is extremely rude and very unprofessional. Save your time/energy and do not go here. However, I just couldn't stay after being talked to in that way. It's a shame that rather than taking in our experience and trying to understand how he made us feel he still deciding to be defensive and dismissive. If I could give a negative star I would. My wife and I were in need of a car for our son while home during covid, we were in a rush and this place was local so we gave it a chance. You would think during covid a local business would appreciate its customers; but according to the owner Abe "I will lose a customer over $100". This is a small business renting a small space on the side of a garage that's trying to "Act" like a big box dealership it is far from that. If you are looking for a decent car yes they have them; if you are looking to be respected and valued as a paying customer you will have a difficult time here. Ps- I purchased a 2000 Camry it runs okay but the check engine light came on about a week after I purchased it. I contacted the owner to inform him it will cost me $800 to fix and of course he blew it off just to let you know the kind of place this is. read more

Buyer beware! After purchasing a vehicle from this dealership my husband and I took it to our mechanic to have a thorough inspection. We found that there had been pending check engine codes erased. The work needing to be done is something we were prepared to deal with and have amazing mechanics ready for the task (Sierra Auto Care). This is just something we've become accustomed to after buying used cars for cash price. Heard about this place through a friend who got his car through them and whose grandmother got her brother an old pickup truck for work that still runs to this day. I ran into quite the predicament when i was slammed into on a freeway and sandwich between to cars. Aftermath left me with a totaled car and a temporary rental that sustained me for two weeks until I was left completely car-less. I could've went and gotten another big loan with a dealership but decided that having an older reliable car made more sense. From the positive experiences my friend and his family went though, I decided to reach out to Starfire Auto; their easy to use website and thorough selection made choosing my top 3 cars a breeze. Though they are not big on calling or texting, Abe, the owner, promptly answered my emails and steered me clearly in the direction of reliable vehicles that they had. We arrived to our appointment and were greeted with two of the three cars on my list. One of them sold however, Abe made sure another similar was available for us to to test drive. All cars were well maintained, drove smoothly and met my expectations; in the end I went for the first car as it was the most comfortable to drive. I'd like to take this chance to also mention that when I made my decision Abe took the time to answer all my questions and inform me of his personal opinion on the vehicle itself. He really listens to what you are looking for, your needs, concerns, as well as wants to make sure that you are happy with what you choose. With that being said he is completely honest about the cars he is selling, is not pushy about anything, and will offer extra advice about them. He knows what he is selling inside and out and that to me is an invaluable trait this place offers that a lot of dealerships (I only went to the big guys before) hardly ever seem to care to do. Flash forward 2-3 weeks later, my 2007 Toyota Corolla provides me with a smooth commute to and from work. No more high interest car payment and I am able to relax knowing that I have a reliable ride. I highly recommend this place for the honesty and for their high standard customer service. A lot of the reviews here paint a picture that this establishment doesn't care but I speak sincerely from my experience that it was a smooth, helpful, and positive one not just for myself but also my family. I don't write a lot of lengthy reviews but when I do I truly want to spread the word and say many thanks Starfire Auto! read more
