I explained the problem on the phone and the man who answered (presumably the owner) told me that they could definitely fix it, but warned me that it could take a few weeks. I immediately appreciated his honesty and brought my ring there within the hour. The woman at the counter was extremely friendly and helpful, making me feel comfortable right away. She helped me figure out my ring size (the ring had been slightly loose) and told me that it would be a good idea to have it sized while the stone was being replaced since they needed to keep it for a few weeks anyway. She let me know that it would take about two weeks and offered to call me with a price estimate. A week later, I got a call stating an extremely reasonable price, and a week later, I got a call saying it was ready. When I went to pick it up, it looked perfect. I could not even tell which of the stones was new. If you are looking for a jeweler in the area, I strongly recommend Nathans'. Gary inspected the ring in great detail and made a recommendation to remove some of the shank and rebuild it, as well as to place tension springs to prevent spinning and slipping. He took his time to measure my finger for the optimal fit. I was told by another jeweler that all of my prongs needed replacement and I wanted a second opinion. Gary again took his time to inspect all the prongs and reassured me that they didn't need replacement. I was very glad for his honesty. The next business day, Gary fixed the ring in 3-4 hours and it came out beautifully. I was so nervous previously to entrust someone with my ring, but I felt at ease. Gary offered that I stay and watch the entire process. He told me to inspect my gemstone carefully after his job was complete as general good practice after having my jewelry worked on! I am so happy with the end result and strongly recommend this jeweler. The key factors that impressed me most were honesty, trustworthiness, attention to detail, patience, mastery of his craft, and sharing of knowledge/providing an understandable rationale for his decision-making. All went will until about 2 - 3 weeks later the watch stopped. I thought maybe it was a bad battery so i brought it back. And then he kept pressing about the watch probably needing a repair so another battery would just be a waste. I did not want to pay for another battery to see if it worked.
