As the name suggests, it's a sports consignment store, though they do sell some new products as well. For me, it makes a great deal of sense to purchase some sports equipment used since that new item you bought for more than twice the price will look the same after a couple uses. I've been here a few times in the past couple years and have always found what I'm looking for. We purchased my son's first real bike here. It was in terrific shape with virtually no signs of use and came at a great deal. I've popped in other times too, such as buying used softballs - which for me makes perfect sense to save money on rather than buying new ones. Outdoor skating season is now starting up again, which brought me in yesterday for skates. We plan on going several times this season, so it didn't make sense to keep renting each time we go. We can in yesterday to look at their skates, and they have a MASSIVE inventory of both new and used. The price of the men's skates ranged from $40-70, with even the $40 ones being your typical Bauer skate. I got ones for $60, which had very little use and were made of composite material, making it a bit lighter. I also found skates for both my kids, which each pair coming in around $30. They offer skate sharpening for $5, but did ours for free since we purchased three pairs. They had plenty of sales staff present, so anyone could get the help they needed, whenever they needed it. The manager is also supper friendly and very funny. Next time you're looking for some sports equipment, I'd recommend looking here first. You might be surprised at the amount of selection and the money you'll save.

I finally had to enter National Sports to investigate the Big K's disappearance and within record time I was greeted by a very friendly salesperson who not only found The Big K for me, but three perfectly wonderful, very expensive hockey sticks that could significantly improve The Big K's game (and in sum total cost more than my dishwasher.) After much careful consideration, The Big K finally settled on "just one" (thank goodness) from this neatly organized and well-stocked store. I couldn't understand why as the box stated the same size as all my others a size 6 regular fit. I sent them back and was told they wouldn't refund me as they were worn outside... it's Alberta winter with mud and snow. They shoes are still Snow White... I had to ask another employee to find the one working in that particular section to unlock the changing room door. The employee that came was apologetic, as she was on the far side of that section. When it came time to pay, there was one customer at the counter talking through something with the cashier, and it seemed like it would take a while. All my tune-ups at Pedalinx were professionally done. Pedalinx service has always been friendly and great. Getting the tune-up this year was complicated by Covid 19; demand for bike tune-ups this year went through the roof. I had to wait more than a month for my scheduled tune-up. But the shop did a fantastic tuneup job on my dura ace road bike, and in 1 day! Pedalinx is one of the best bike shops.

One of the two gentlemen, with whom I spoke, was also very polite and friendly. However, I visited this location because of a specific bike they had advertised on sale and when they showed me the bike, I immediately noticed it was not as advertised. They had switched out the front shocks, tires, and shifters for lower end components which were not the components advertised on their website. For all I know, they may have downgraded other components as well that I didn't take the time to notice. While it is possible this was simply a mistake in advertising, I find it a little "fishy". When I asked if they could replace the original components, they made it clear that was not possible so I wonder what happened to those high end components. In any event, I walked out without the bike as it was simply not as advertised. As a result, I doubt I will return in the future. I definitely plan to warn my riding buddies and caution them against buying a bike from Pedalinx.
