The complimentary bread was yummy, served slightly toasted with a balsamic glaze and olive oil. All our entrees came with a starter salad too. A few of the pieces on top of mine were slimy, which I just picked off and put to the side. I got the bacon chèvre burger and it was tasty. I ordered it medium rare and it came out perfectly cooked, beefy and juicy. All the bold flavors intermingled very nicely. My coworker wanted to try it, so I cut her off a piece. She pulled out a short black hair from it. Ew. I was almost done with it, so I didn't complain. Hoping what I consumed didn't have any hairs in it! My fiancé ordered the ahi tuna, rare. Very nice presentation and cooked as requested, but the taste was just ok. Pretty hefty price tag at $40 too. Service was very friendly. I've visited Stardust Cafe a couple times in the past and had great experiences. This time was no different!! I tried the veggie panini for lunch and added bacon for some extra crunch. Very tasty sandwich, featured artichokes, peppers, a great tomato, etc. Their pasta salad is great as a side as well - different from the usual fries at other restaurants! It's small inside but the vibe is very nice and welcoming. The folks behind the bar all greeted us as we walked in and our waitress was kind. All around a great visit and I look forward to exploring more of their menu in the future! read more

The service was good and we were personally greeted on the way in/thanked on the way out. This was a lovely touch you don't get in every restaurant. The food experience, however, was not consistent with the pricing. The look of the food was great. It was nicely plated and we were excited when it came. Looking for something light and summery, I went with a pasta topped with seafood. The pasta and seafood were pretty good, but unseasoned on their own. The minimal sauce provided completely lacked flavor. I am all for the sauce not overwhelming the other ingredients, but this was effectively olive oil on pasta with some token herbs. I squeezed the lemon garnish to try to help, but this was disappointing, particularly for an expensive dish. Another party member ordered a specialty steak dish. It was pretty good, but wildly salty in only a few spots. It seemed the quality was there, but the flavors need to be reimagined. read more

This is a hidden gem! After 10 hours on the road, this was a wonderful place that we stumbled upon. The ambience is an eclectic mix of a French artisan cafe. Oh my goodness you walk in and it is just so cute, warm and completely comfortable in here! Their tiramisu is the perfect combo of coffee and cream and the vanilla late is equally delicious. We visited on a recommendation from an employee at the Greenbriar Hotel. The place has charm to it. Small but charming. The staff were super nice and attentive. Prices are reasonable for the area. The quality of the food was excellent. We all finished our dishes with nothing remaining on the battlefield. We left no prisoners. I would visit again. This place is absolutely amazing . . . a gem that I wish I could go to every single day! It's located in a charming area of Lewisburg that contains lots of inviting shops & restaurants. The cafe is small but creatively & tastefully decorated. I ordered the pasta with cod & lobster. My intention was to eat only the seafood while leaving much of the pasta. It was so delicious, though, that I ate every bite. My husband ordered the seared tuna & loved it as well. Each of our orders came with a small salad served before our entrees. Excellent! Had the Welshman sandwich and tomato soup. The tomato soup was the bomb!!! Creamy, velvety, with chunks of tomato. Side of pasta salad was ok. The pasta was a bit too al dente and the dressing really wasn't absorbed. The sandwich was really interesting with all its layers. So much food I took half of the sandwich to go. Only drawback is that I should have ordered the soup and sandwich to arrive at the same time so I could dip the sandwich in the soup !!!! Excellent service . Clean bathroom . read more

Limited options but they have some unique staples as well - including the Welshman sandwich with a fried egg & smashed potato along with meat, cheese, & Dijon mustard. Thats what I got & it was a very satisfying sandwich. It's disappointing they don't have French fries but the pasta salad was good. I love my lavender Italian soda, & the price was reasonable too. The service was fairly fast but our waitress was somewhat forgetful. Overall, it was a great lunch choice, & I'm glad we stopped by! The restaurant was clean & had a nice ambiance as well. read more

Meeting a friend there so had to go in. Upon entering, it smelled like an old meat locker but I figured they may do their own butchering. Ordered the burger. It was very tough but tasty enough. The tomato soup was excellent. The young lady that served us was very nice and made us feel welcome. I did like the old door with glass on top tables. I am a fan of repurposing. Many off the wall or inventive drinks. I probably will not go back because I am very sensitive to off-putting smells. read more

We were just passing through the area and found this on Yelp. This small cafe is located in such a cute downtown street. It's small and cozy inside, very welcoming. The food was amazing! The service was top notch. We had the tomato bisque with grilled cheese and the Best BLT sandwich. It was the best tomato bisque I've tasted, especially sipping the grilled cheese sandwich in it. The BLT was very tasty. Highly recommend stopping in here. read more

Great place! It's my second visit to the Stardust Cafe and I was just as pleased as the first visit. The surroundings cozy and quaint and the food was delicious! Our waiter was so polite and accommodating. He made our experience most enjoyable from beginning to end. We started with a round of fun cocktails - all creative and refreshing! Summer Fling was my favorite! Then we shared a meat and cheese board, soooo yummy with a lovely assortment of meats, cheese, olives, toast and pickled veggies. I indulged in the local burger, HUGE on a crusty roll!! The salmon and tuna dinners were delicious as well as the pasta with walnuts. Everyone was happy. Believe it or not we even made room for dessert. The sticky toffee cake was so perfect! Looking forward to going back. read more

We decided to eat at the Stardust Cafe for lunch as a family of 6. The area the restaurant is located in very cute with a lot of shops to walk to. There was one table that could accommodate our big group and the rest of the tables were 4 tops. We sat and the waitress quickly greeted us. She took our orders and had a few suggestions that we were happy we listened to. I ordered the BLT which has delicious pesto mayo and crumbled bacon. It was an elevated BLT and the pasta salad side was delicious with our being loaded with red/green peppers. The other side option was tortilla chips from a bad which were a tad disappointing. We had extra water on the table which we readily accepted. For dessert, we had the sticky toffee pudding which was rich for lunch but oh so worth it. read more

Stopped here on our road trip. The place is a small cafe with tons of character that almost reminds you of a cafe in Paris. We were greeted when we walked in and told to pick any seat we would like. There were several other parties there. The server brought over water and took our drink order. I got a vanilla latte. For my lunch, I got the Gullino. It was really delicious and came with a pickle and pasta salad, both of which were also very good. My wife got the burger. I tried a bite and it was outstanding! The pesto Mayo combined with the deliciousness of the burger were awesome! For dessert, we split a piece of chocolate cake. It was good, but we would have gone with the pie if it did not have peaches in it. Overall a really good meal in a cute small town. Definitely worth the stop! read more

From being billed as a cafe, I might have expected them to be open for breakfast or to specialize in drinks, but it seemed more like a lunch place with French-inspired cuisine and a very nice setting with tables made of old wooden doors. While French normally doesn't do well for me, they had a few options here, including what they call a "trust me" salad. I went ahead and trusted them on it, and though they seemed to be rushing in some last-minute salad greens, the result was worthwhile. A hefty chunk of some luxuriously flavored soft cheese made it a very substantial meal, and the flavors of other ingredients contrasted nicely. There was a sprinkling of granola in there, which is odd, but which works in place of croutons. The iced tea I had was fine, but nothing special. They did offer some flavor additions. A very rich-looking pastry spread exceeded my appetite, but the atmosphere and the cuisine were likely among the finest you'd find anywhere in the area. read more

The cafe itself is cute but they were handling food without gloves. I watched the chef grab a whole hamburger without gloves and take it over to be plated. Each item he made he would plate without gloves. I didn't see him wash his hands in between either for people with allergies. My mom saw a girl make a salad with no gloves on. I didn't see any of them wash their hands and one girl put her hair up twice while by where they were making food. Being a nurse, I will not be back. The food was honestly bland for 164$ bill after tip. The service was okay overall but we had to ask for water and she really didn't check on us. Will not be back. I wish I would've seen all the past reviews about the price compared to what you get!! read more

I've been in this restaurant four of the last five nights... Every night I am blown away even more.... I know this is the best restaurant in West Virginia... But it may be one of the top 10 restaurants in the country.....mussels, best I've ever had.... Perfect MR ribeye, best I've ever had.... Desserts, best I've ever had...... and the service is next level... I inquired about a New Year's Eve menu and the server. Claire wrote out each item and went over it in full.... On the way out tonight, I was lucky enough to meet the owner who could not have been more down to earth or humble about his accomplishments. I can't give 0 stars or I would. I'm from out of town and saw the great reviews of this place. When I arrived, I asked for a to-go recommendation and the staff suggested the clam pasta. When I got back to my hotel room the to-go container was literally leaking everywhere. The clam pasta is very saucy but the staff decided to line a to-go box with aluminum foil and hope for the best. Needless to say, unboxing was a nightmare. Luckily, I had a Tupperware container that I could move the pasta into, but as I was dishing the pasta out, I found multiple hairs in it. When I called to let them know they told me I had to come back to get a refund! I'll never try this place again! read more
