Went through drive through. Given cup with "gay" written on it. It was crossed out and "yay" written under it. I went in and asked to speak to manager. It could have been a simple "Im very sorry" but she became instantly dismissive and defensive. I was not being loud or cursing. Great location I usually come in later afternoons and there's zero wait time and I get my drinks in less than five minutes. The girls at the window are always so kind and always give my dogs pup cups without me having to ask. Love the staff here ! Very clean restaurant and always great food as well! my husband and I LOVE Starbucks and just moved to Wentzville. unfortunately for us, this is the absolute worst location known to man. we ONLY go in the evenings when they are dead (like tonight) and waited 21 mins with 2 cars in front of us for our drink. this is the third time this has happened in the last 2 weeks here. My 2nd walk-in visit to Wentzville Starbucks in 7-3-24. While it's a nice contemporary atmosphere, I am very disappointed with the staff. I gave the young girl (at register) who took my order and gift card for one simple decaf coffee. She made it sound like I owed money, when the gift card should've covered it. Likely due to her inexperience, she did not clarify or enunciate well. STRIKE 1 I waited 10-15 min for my coffee...before asking staff if they had my order. First they said, no. Then they said yes, but the order taker wrote down the wrong name. I let them know others who ordered AFTER me had already received their order. A Middle Aged blonde woman, who should have known better, made excuses. She said, they probably ordered online. I let her know these people were standing in line at the cashier BEHIND me to place their order. Then she responded with a mouthful of BS (all of which I could not hear). STRIKE 2 When I got to my car, the HOT coffee spilled EVERYWHERE (myself and the car) because the blonde woman did NOT secure the lid. DTRUKE 3 The Starbucks had no condiment bar of sugar/honey, cream or cinnamon like the other Starbucks in my neighborhood. I did not enjoy my coffee b/c there was no sweetener or cream. We choose where we spend our dollars. This will be my last visit to this store and ALL Starbucks!!! Do not waste your time or money where it is not valued. read more

This Starbucks it was already on my list of businesses that chronically disappoint. Sometimes in the morning they're not open at 6 AM some days at two 3 PM you'll drive by and there w'il be a sign in the window : sorry we're closed. Today was disappointing because there were six workers at 7:30 AM on a Sunday morning I was the only one in the store and they told me they don't do pour overs. They only do decaf pour overs. What? Starbucks the Ambassador flagship of coffee doesn't do pour overs? I even mentioned French press, I wanted French press Sumatra. Nope! only the dark roast they are brewing. Disappointed. read more

Always has my, as my sister calls it, bougie coffee perfect t! I love that you can order ahead and just walk in, grab your order, and tip our baristas. They are always kind enough to switch out the lid with the big drink hole for the coffee lid with the little opening. I'm a sliob and will, inevitably, spill it on myself. Unfortunately this Starbucks isn't being run up to par. I was in recently while working in the STL area and came in for coffee. As I sat, drank my coffee, and worked a bit I noticed several customers come in separately and none were greeted promptly to say the least. There were 5 employees behind the counter and one guy stood at the counter for at least 4-5 mins before he was greeted. I watched at least 3 of the employees behind the counter having what seemed to be a funny conversation while this guy waited, it was uncomfortable to even watch! Also, bathrooms were dirty, all the tables were dirty, and I never saw anyone doing any housekeeping duty. Do yourself a favor and go to a diff Starbucks, not a well run location. The staff at this location made my drink wrong once again (Happens 2-3x a week). Not a surprise everyone that works here doesn't seem to care in the slightest about customer service. When talking to the manager about the issue he refused to remake the drink and started to make derogatory statements towards me when simply asking for a refund. The manager then continued to harass other customers that were trying to stand up for me even going as far as following people to their vehicles after seeing the ridiculous treatment he was displaying. He refused to refund everyone asking for a refund, he then told everyone if their drink was wrong he didn't give a F**k, & that we all are not welcome in "his" Starbucks store. Spoke with district manager directly and hopefully they can get a new manager who actually cares about his job and his customers. I used to LOVE Starbucks. LOVE. Like collect every tumbler and buy every stupid holiday CD love. This is the closest Starbucks to me and let me tell you, it's not worth the drive I spent more than TWENTY minutes in the drive thru line (that's on me) only to get to the window and be told they wouldn't take my $100. I get it, some places don't because they don't have change. I was told it's 'policy' but then I asked if they REALLY didn't have change with how many customers they've had today and she gave me a look like yeah they do they just don't want to. Girl you just serviced more than 100 customers in an hour and it's 1 in the afternoon. She had the change. Just didn't want to give it to me. And it's not like I bought one item for $5 - my total was $35! Like really. Really? You don't have $65 in change. I asked why there wasn't a sign and she just said it's policy. So that's my story of someone lying to my face. I'm not sure whether I'm more mad that that I waited in line for that long or because I was lied to. Love the drinks and employees are always nice. But there is NEVER any nitro cold brew or any cold brew for that matter, seems like every time I go there, which is sad because my husband only drinks the nitro cold brew and I get the vanilla cold brew as well. Asked for the additional items from the order that weren't there and was told someone else must've taken that part of my order. So, they said they would remake it. Ok, fine...so I waited again...and after another 15mins went by. I inquired if it was ready yet, only to find they never started remaking it. These items were already paid for, and should've been remade by this point. I just left, couldn't wait any longer as I had an appointment. I hate leaving bad reviews but this is the slowest Starbucks around. I worked for Starbucks for 3 years, you have to move your feet and make more than one drink at a time. I expect a normal wait but do not expect to wait a ridiculous amount of time, even if you mobile order. I get Wentzville is growing and it's hard with one coffee shop and all these people, or maybe this store is under staffed, but a little hustle wouldn't hurt! I appreciate all that this location does! Every morning I'm craving one of my usuals (large caramel macchiato hot coffee or large white chocolate mocha frappe) with a double bacon sandwich! I want so badly to give this location 5 stars because of the interactions and connections I've made with the employees the past years. However, I spend upward of 20-35 minutes in the drive thru line and it's unbearable. The parking lot doesn't make it any easier to park and go inside because of all the businesses and the smallness of the parking lot. It's upsetting that sometimes I would rather just drive 20 minutes to the lake saint Louis location to get coffee at a reasonable time. read more

Don't waste your time ordering online. I tried it because the drive thru line was always so long it would take up my entire break time. The staff is a joke. I ordered online and arrived 10 minutes later. I was told that I was probably at the wrong location. Then, I was told that my order was incomplete because they didn't have the sandwich I ordered. This is a review for corporate Starbucks. Well, it's evident there has been a price hike...and I'm not talking 10 cents a drink, it's more like $1 plus. The coffee has always been expensive here, but I always thought, "What the heck, treat yourself, you work, live a little!" However, the recent price hike in the various coffee drinks is absolutely ridiculous. For what?...longer lines, staff shortage, drinks that are correct 50% of the time, I could go on and on. I could even understand if this was a struggling local business and would support it, but price increases so we can line the pockets of the executives, no thank you!!! I'm done with Starbucks. I like this starbucks, and it's the closet one to where I live, but the last several times I have taken my daughter there, a man (named John I believe) is always doing some kind of internet show, or voice chat and he curses and yells loudly. The first couple times we just ignored it, but as a few minutes passed we heard some real locker room type language. I am a 40 year old man, and I couldn't believe some of the things that were being said. He's really loud too, it's not like my daughter and I were trying to listen to his convo. If this happened once, hey I could overlook it, but this has happened several times over the last year. It's my 12 year old daughters birthday today - she loves Harry Potter and the "secret menu". I stopped her to get her her bday Starbucks- she had a specific order- THIS LOCATION IS AMAZING!! The girl taking my drive thru order said she was a proud supporter of Harry Potter menu - all the girls were so nice at the window - they did a great job and the girl making it said "I tried to do the deathly hollows thing on it" I don't even know what that means but they were SO ACCOMODATING!!! My daughter will be so happy and they made my experience so amazing! A drive they order that took less than 5 minutes and made such a huge impression - this is my go-to Starbucks from now on.
