This location has way better service and friendlier staff than the other Mount Shasta location.

I visited this Starbucks on Nov 1 around 2:30 and asked the barista for Splenda. The young male barista had one headphone in and acted like he didn't hear me. I moved in front of him and repeated my request, still no eye contact and he simply pointed toward the condiment station across the store. It came across as dismissive and uninterested in helping. There were only two employees working, and both looked extremely stressed. This generation is not up to working a normal load. The customer experience, and probably the staff morale, would be much better. Not the level of service I expect from Starbucks. read more

I was on the road all day Tuesday, March 17th, 2026 and pulled into Starbucks in Weed, CA at 7:53pm for a coffee. I ordered a venti Pikes Place topped with cream. I was told all the machines were shut off already. So I said I'll take a pour over. No customers were inside the business. She said there wasn't enough time for a pour over?! In 30 plus years going to Starbucks, I have never been turned down for service during open hours. I told her she would be getting a 1 star review. My drip with a shot was lukewarm when served. They insisted that it was 180 degrees. While we were discussing it, I had two fingers completely submerged in my lukewarm drink, with no discomfort whatsoever. They agreed to make an Americano for me. It was only a tiny bit warmer. Gayle and I were well into our long (6+ Hours) drive from Genoa to Ashland (including a Lunch stop in Susanville). We both wanted a nosh and some coffee, and pulled off I-5 at Weed to find the Starbucks. This place is hard to find, as there's really no signage once you're off the Interstate. As this commercial area is small and the turns limited, we found it on the last try. Of course, we have now have the "muscle memory" for a possible next time, and know that it's easy to get back on I-5. Past all this, this Starbucks is what I expected and received, no more or no less. My usual is black coffee and Gayle's is a Latte with Almond Milk. All was delivered relatively promptly and professionally, as we took our drinks to go. The clean bathroom break was also welcome. read more

I've never been in a Starbucks this dirty before. The trash cans were literally overflowing, half of the empty tables had trash and food crumbs on them and the bathroom looked like a scene from Trainspotting. I noticed that this location is a favorite of truck drivers due to an empty parking lot across the street. It definitely shows. On top of that, both of the drinks I ordered were incorrect. The employees were friendly, but obviously understaffed with no apparent manager on duty. I wish I would have taken pictures to share. I travel for work and visit a Starbucks pretty much daily. I've never seen anything like this before. I would recommend skipping this location and heading to the Starbucks in Mount Shasta. That location has always been clean and the drinks made correctly. read more

Great coffee and beautiful setting! We tried the sausage biscuit breakfast sandwich for lunch and the biscuit is tender inside and flaky crisp on the outside just like homemade. We were quite impressed with this savory offering! It also has bacon and gravy. Iced latte was cold and refreshing. The chocolate Madelines were good but we actually like the plain Madelines better. Beautiful view of trees and snow capped mountain! Comfortable indoor and outdoor seating. Friendly service. Thank you! read more

Workers completely ignored me and my family standing in line for 10 minutes. As soon as we got out of line they started taking orders of white customers in line behind us. Other customers were complaining of drink orders taking well over 10 minutes to be done, orders not being complete and how they were being talked to by employees. I just had a nice breakfast at a little roadside restaurant, but 40 miles later, dang I feel sleepy! Good food and a full tummy will do that to ya! Heading north on the 5 and checked the GPS. So I know there's a Starbucks here (thanks to GPS service), and we exit at Exit # 745 Vista Drive hang a right and a left and Starbucks is right there. It's a stand alone building, so you can't miss it. I dunno why such low ratings here on the service mostly, I didn't have any problems, though I only order coffee black, so no fraddappy extra foam drinks for me! I get my coffee same time as I pay. The WiFi works fine here, so I can do a couple of reviews! The restrooms were clean, so that's another good thing. The coffee is the same ole Starbucks house roasts, Pike's something or other. This is a decent Starbucks, not the fanciest, but newer and standard. It gets the job done. Most of the customers seemed like they're doing the drive thru. I'll stop here again for another caffeine fix maybe on my way back. read more

Driving SB on I-5 and the last 2 rest areas were closed (what's up CalTrans?!?). Clean gender neutral restrooms, cheerful efficient staff & they are open until 9pm (does Oregon shut down at 7pm. Cumfy cushy chairs. Nice stop on way home... and they made my coffee drink correctly! read more

I'm surprised by the bad reviews of this place! I've been to A LOT of Starbucks locations and only one other time did I feel like I should come on to Yelp and review them (and the other time was because it was my WORST experience in ANY food/coffee shop, ever!) But this was actually one of the best experiences I've had at a Starbucks drive-thru, and I thought it should be noted. It didn't take long for us to get through the line and get our drinks (around 7am on a Thursday), and the SUPER friendly person at the window also offered our pup a puppuccino -- something we've NEVER been offered before! It was so nice. Someone else mentioned the drive-thru itself being small. We were driving a large SUV (rental) this trip and had no problems whatsoever getting through. I drive through Weed about 2-4 times a year, and I would go out of my way to visit this specific location in the future. read more

The baristas are really nice, the restrooms are clean and the location is modern. The service is slow. Not a big deal because it's kind of in the middle of some mountains...the coffee was good. This location was a disaster!! It was very junkie looking inside, the service was slow and the restrooms was a nightmare! The bathrooms had not been cleaned in a few days (I was here 10am) Paper towels on floor, trash was over flowing, urine on floor, no toilet seat cover. Honestly, this was a Starbucks experience I've never had before. When we walked in, there was a middle aged woman who worked there who seemed to be having a nervous breakdown behind the counter. She was upset about something she was warming in the microwave. One of the other employees asked her for something. She said, in a loud, exasperated voice, "I don't have a sticker for that! I need a sticker! I don't have a sticker! Give me a sticker! There were 3 other people inside the Starbucks besides me and my friend. There were maybe 8 cars in the drive through. In other words, this was not a busy Starbucks. I've been to them with 25 people in line inside and 25 cars in line outside and they usually run like a well oiled machine. This one does not. The entire time we were in there she was going on and on about every single thing. It was quite a show. I actually began laughing. I couldn't help myself. It was like watching one of those mean cooking shows where the head chef is a tyrant with a 13 year old's emotional maturity. I travel a lot between Oregon & Sacramento and this has been our go to place to stop. the last 3-4 times we have stopped the service has not been the best, slow and orders not correct. I stopped recently and waited 15 minutes to order, waited another 10 minutes for my single drink. I ordered hot mocha made with coconut milk (I cannot drink regular milk) I received my drink and left. I get back in the road and take a sip, it was a chocolate peppermint, which was good in flavor but not what I ordered, the on the cup listed exactly what I ordered. I could not drink it because I did not know if they made it with regular milk or coconut milk. I wasted over $7.00 on it, this will be my last time stopping there. read more

I mobile-ordered a Venti London Fog this morning at Mt. Shasta Starbucks. It was ready at the drive-through when I arrived. A friendly server handed it to me and I put it in my cup holder between the seats. A few minutes later when I reached for my drink, the lid popped off the cup and spilled a good third of my drink before I could stop it. Whenever I've ordered this drink before, it always came in a double-cup, but not this morning...and now I know why. This morning it was only a single-cup - and the cup buckled when I held it (that doesn't happen with a double-cup.) A single-cup is not strong enough for the size and amount of liquid in this drink. Nice little coffee shop right off the highway. We needed to stop here to charge up and rest for a few on our trip. The cake pops are delicious! We got Frappuccinos and my husband wasn't happy with how his turned out (absolutely no fault to the staff) and they were so kind to make him a new one. The employees are all friendly and kind.
