Wasn't impressed. Service was really slow but that wasn't what didn't impress me. It was the impatience and inability to make sure I was taken care of before the worker closed the drive thru window on me. I was handed my drink and she immediately shut the window without making sure I didn't want or need a straw or napkins. She got defensive when I waved my hand at her to get her attention and when she finally opened the window again she gave me attitude. Thoroughly unimpressed. I wish I could say that it was COVID that had an effect on how this store operates but I don't think that's the case. I have been here for four years and this store has consistently been slow. I only came to this location more than once because it was the only one I could use my rewards at. However, now the Fort Drum location and Target accept them as well. You will go inside and see six people working, and still wait 30+ minutes on your drink. It gets 2 stars because they do always have a good selection of prebagged coffee and merchandise. read more

I will place a mobile pick up well ahead of time and then go to pick it up and only the drive thru is open with a 30 minute + wait. If you're that busy, turn mobile orders off. i typically hit up a starbucks for its consistency. you can order the same drink pretty much all across the us. this location, however, is consistently lacking in inventory. more than half the time they're out of key ingredients, and with national shortages it's only gotten worse. come to this location with a couple different choices in mind because chances are, they'll be out of something. it's especially unfortunate for the drive thru when you're locked in a lengthy line and it's not like you can order, find out they don't have what you wanted, then leave. once you're in line, you're stuck. the saving grace here is at least the employees are super friendly people and are helpful with alternative suggestions. read more

This Starbucks location is centrally located in Watertown, and is right off the main highway. Being very convenient, one of the downsides is that it's always busy. Quite frequently, I have gone to get a drink with my wife and they are closed without notice. I went just today to get some coffee and there was a table in the drive-thru and no sheet or display on the door telling the public when they would be open next. This has happened too many times and it's honestly so sad to see. The workers are always very friendly but sometimes they mess up orders and on some occasions don't tell you that they are out of a certain product until you get to the window, forcing you to make a decision right there or just leave with no drink. This place is wonderful. I feel like I rarely ever see the same group of people working here but honestly the last time any one of them made my drink incorrectly was almost a year ago. The staff is always so polite. The store is fairly clean. Sometimes the wait is a little long, but they are usually packed so what can you expect? Always out of syrups or sauces, like hazelnut, peppermint, even mocha syrup. Whenever I go in to order, tons of app orders sit there without anyone picking them up, so I end up waiting 30 min for a drink. I understand whichever ticket comes in first has priority, but there are so many app orders they can't keep up with them and ignore the customers in store waiting. I know they're short staffed as everywhere is, but it would be nice if they had a dedicated store barista, dedicated app barista, dedicated food barista, etc. The drive through line is always about 15 cars long and they sometimes close the lobby randomly creating more of a backup (for hours in a day). Frustrating when this is one of the the only Starbucks in Watertown. Super unorganized. They should also add to the app whether it's drive through or in store pickup because they group them all together and have to look for them. I generally like Starbucks over Dunkin, but 30 min for a drink is ridiculous. Might as well go sit down at a restaurant and have a full breakfast at those times. read more

This Starbucks was fast, efficient and clean the 2 times we came through here on our way to and from Syracuse. It's a standard Starbucks...I mean if you've been to one standard version of a suburban Starbucks you've been to pretty much 99% of them. We are staying in the area and we're very excited to see they had a Starbucks right down the street from our hotel. We had a very bad experience with the guys at the cash register, he was rude and when we tried to redeem my birthday reward he just said "i don't know, sorry". We asked him to get someone and again his answer was "I don't know,sorry". Another barista came over, Angela, she was fantastic. She was so sweet and personable. She changed the entire experience. She even came over after to check on our drinks and say happy birthday! She certainly changed our experience going here in a few short conversations! She was awesome and even had us try to nitro for free because it was similar to our orders and she thought we might like it. read more

Heading south from Ottawa, this is the first Starbucks you'll come upon south of the Canadian capital and north of Syracuse. Conveniently located right off the interstate, it's a newly built free-standing store next to the Holiday Inn Express and a couple of unremarkable chain restaurants. Nevertheless, the experience was positive and it was fun to be hitting one of those far-flung Starbucks that provide such a pleasant respite from a day of driving. Clean bathroom, working wifi and a good cup of coffee are all that was needed to keep the trip going. Glad I stopped and checked it out. There is always a longer wait, even with minimum vehicles. Additionally, employees have consistently lack positive customer service skills and often times, we cannot order our usual drinks. Recently, we are told conflicting information about various policies from specific drinks in different cup sizes to reloading our app before paying. At one point we ordered a drink and they didn't have the ingredients so they made it with the wrong ingredients and tried to pass it off, we noticed, they had no reason other than telling us that they were just out of the other ingredients and though this would be an okay replacement. A few weeks ago we order our drinks and went to reload before payment of drinks, as usual, and she wanted us to reload and then circle back around the very long drive through to pay for and get the actual drinks. It didn't make sense and she wasn't going to budge about it until a manager (or manager equivalent) came to show her how to do the transactions. It was a weird experience because this is how we have always done our reloading and we already ordered... our drinks were sitting right there in front of us. I do see they're doing updates soon but, that really doesn't help a staffing issue. It's just a bid mess over there. Anyway, we prefer to go to the Target Starbucks now. read more

Bringing culture to Watertown is an official Corporate-Starbucks store. It is located immediately off of the Arsenal Street exit from Highway 81. There is a drive through at this location, and it is equipped with the pay-by-mobile-phone capability (Starbucks Card Phone Application). This is the only Corporate store north of Syracuse. The company put in a very nice effort in order to bring a very nice store to upstate New York. (There is another "Starbucks" in Watertown, but it is inside Target, thus a Target-owned franchise store. There are very significant differences! Corporate Starbucks has very specific rules that Target doesn't follow!). The inside of the store can be a bit limited on seating, but thankfully, only rarely will you find all of the seats taken. Weather permitting, there is a large outdoor patio with plenty of seating available with umbrellas to shade you from the beaming sun. As a big-city Starbucks aficionado, I know specifically what this store is missing. Breakfast sandwiches are available, but there are no parfaits or lunch sandwiches. Due to the severe distance away from the very large cities of New York, the majority of Starbucks locations are too far off the routes to receive sandwiches. Sadly, Corporate Starbucks stores in Syracuse do not get them either. Aside from missing out on all of the amazing sandwiches and parfaits that most Corporate stores have, this store meets all of the other qualities that is expected from the great Starbucks Coffee Company. As much as I love Starbucks, I would not visit this location if it shamed the company by merely going through the motions. I previously worked for nine (9) separate locations across our great nation, thus resulting in a great deal of pride for the Starbucks name, Corporation, and its many great products. Had this location been a sub-par store, I would have directly stated as such, and instead made the 75 minute trek to Syracuse for a weekend fix, and advised everyone here and around that the drive south is worth the trip. The staff at this location are professional, friendly, and very knowledgeable. As experienced in the workings of this company, I still brought questions to the table that were met with very informative answers that led to purchases. Most importantly, the drinks are correctly made in a very timely manner. I personally visit this store very often for hot espresso drinks, merchandise, and for purchasing new batches of whole bean coffee for my french press. read more

This is the only Starbucks in Watertown that is not inside a shopping center which tend to be busy. This location needs to keep up with cleaniness, customer service, and drive thru time. Moreover, the Baristas would create a welcoming environment when they greet every customer no matter how busy and make efforts everytime. Typical Starbucks on the way to Montreal. It was right off the 81, which was nice, but getting to the building itself is a pain. It's a standard suburban plaza where the entrances are located at inconvenient places. I almost ended up turning onto the 81 again because I thought it was an entrance to the plaza. If you are in Watertown go to the Starbucks at Target instead of this one. They cannot handle the traffic. Normally, I am understanding... not today. I ordered ahead at 10:33 and my app told me my order would be ready at 10:45. At 10:55 I asked about my order and was told it was received at 10:44 which I had proof was not the case. The barista was rude about it and told me if I wanted a refund I had go to the register. I was not waiting another 15 minutes in line. I drove to Target and had my drink in less than 5 minutes.
