For all those wondering why all these poor reviews and why people do not visit a different Starbucks or Coffee shop, it is because this is Tupelo and this is the only coffee shop in the entire city, except for Gas Station Coffee... Honestly, this is not the worst Starbucks, depending on what you order here. Sadly, this location is out of a lot of items as apparently there is a nationwide shortage of most of their food items, but they do have coffee. The service here varies, so don't expect much. If you come here, make sure you do not park right next to the drive-through, or else you may get trapped, as the drive-thru line can easily be 20 minutes long, or longer and it will be almost impossible to get out. Seriously, you are better off parking in the Wendy's or Hardee's parking lot next door and walking over here during the rush day. I highly recommend if you visit this Starbucks. Make sure, you check your order and have a sip of your coffee before you leave. Sometimes they may fill it, sometimes it may only be around 70-80% full. [Review #652]  (8th Review of 2022) read more

This was the worst Starbucks experience I have ever lived through. I know it's first world problems, but I'm in the car with 4 of my friends and we have been waiting for an hour and a half now, in the same place, not even close to the window. We walked to the front door but it was locked, they kept making the drinks and food in front of us. No one was allowed to go in and only the drive through was working. The workers were looking at all of the 30 people waiting outside, through the windows, laughing.... Terrible customer service and I recommend the Dunkin next store!!!! read more

No matter where I go Starbucks employees are always polite with taking orders & add-ons. This one location in particular ruined that streak. I asked for a particular drink that I knew the ingredients to & the guy wasn't very pleasant with taking my order. Everything I asked for was completely wrong AFTER money was thrown into my hand. My late aunt lived in Tupelo and when Starbucks came to Tupelo, I knew that good coffee would not deter me from visiting. My husband and I caught a late and simple breakfast at this Starbucks this past Friday. The blueberry scones were good and the Italian Roast coffee was perfect to get us going on the daunting task of packing up my aunt's apartment. We had the opportunity to east in and environment was conducive for conversation, surfing the web, reading and drinking coffee. I wish all Starbucks could be like this one in the ability to just relax and drink good coffee. Since we were 'south' there ware people sitting outside and surfing the web. This just felt like a great gathering spot and a wonderful addition to the Tupelo community. I stop here at least once on each trip I have made to Tupelo. read more

Horrible service today: Server gal: What can I get you today? (Vacant look in her eyes-I'm in trouble) Me: Good morning. Do you have echinacea tea? Server: (blank stare) um, what's that? Me: A hot tea. Her: Oh. I don't know. Me: Can you check? Her: (Not checking) We have black tea. Me: Ok. The tea choices are behind you. Could you check for me? (They have about 10 types on the wall behind her, I suspect she is not looking because she can't read. - yes, I can be snarky in the morning.) Her: (Still not checking.) We have Green tea. Is that what you want? Me: No, I'd really prefer an echinacea tea if you have one. Her: I don't know what that is. (Vacant look.) Me: The tea choice are behind you, would you please check? Her: (Turns to a young lady making coffee) Hey, do we have ecc-un-asia (I can't make this up.) tea? Coffee maker: I don't know what that is? Me: (Giving up on the idea that either might actually look at the tea choices they have.) How about Earl Grey? Her: (Smiles) I know what that is! Woman behind me: (Whispers) I believe they do have echinacea here but she wasn't going to let you have it! What poor service! Me: (Whispering back) I gave up, I don't have the energy this morning to pursue this. I expect at least sub par service at Starbucks but they reached a new low today. I've always loved this Starbucks. It can occasionally get pretty backed up and I assume that's because of the occasional new hire. I've even recently started going back to this one rather than my locally owned location because the flavors and types of drinks I order are just so consistent! Starbucks just tastes better. Consistent bad service. This is the closest Starbucks to where I live (about 40 minutes away) but I find myself regretting coming to this location often. I tend to drive all the way across town to the Mall at Barnes Crossing and head to Barnes & Noble and order at the Starbucks inside. West Main's location can't seem but to hire clueless baristas. Drinks are not as good as the one in the mall. I ordered a 2 Caramel Ribbon Crunch Frapps and got 2 plain caramel Frapps. When I asked about it all three girls came to the window, smirked at me and said "We don't have the crunch part. We're out." So I was like, "Don't you think you should inform customers you can't make the drink when they order it instead of making another drink and serving it to them?" They just stared and smirked. Needless to say their manager heard about it and so did Starbucks customer service. I got 2 free drinks to compensate for the terrible service. read more

Terribly slow service this Saturday afternoon. It appears that there were many employees on duty but not getting customers orders taken care of. Too much personal chit chat between employees. They are not focused on customer service. Poor management to allow this behavior. read more

Starbucks is a great example of the cycles of business. It's a story of "how great is this!" that cycles around to "I wish this business had some competition". This Starbucks location is a great example of this. When it opened, there was another coffee shop a couple of miles away. It had great music, those big stuffy leather chairs and delicious pastries. But...It has gone away and since then someone at Starbucks decided to re-do this location, probably to impress their corporate boss and "make things better" and get a promotion. The results; Gone are the comfy chairs and tables, the inside now resembles what a coffee shop would look like if it were located under a state park shelter. Hard laminated chairs, small round tables, a cramped 3 stool bar and the "picnic table", I'm not even going to describe it, and don't come here just to see it, your time is much too valuable. So, if you like a stripped down, corporate styled java stop, you'll love it. It's a real shame that my best thing about any coffee shop is the drive through. read more

I wish I could give zero stars bc this is a chain that's built on fast service, (right???) however I just spent 15 mins in the drive through for a $6 latte. Then after paying sat at the window for another 2 minutes before someone asked me "hey are you still waiting on your latte????" No, I'm sitting here bc I like wasting MY TIME!!! You have got to be kidding me!! Furious is an understatement! This happens ALL the time at this location and I don't even live in this town but every time I go to the Starbucks I get horrible service and horrible coffee!! It wasn't even because they were understaffed....I counted 5 people, 5 EMPLOYEES behind the counter and very few people in the store. Starbucks corporate will get a nice letter from me about this bc my time is just as valuable as the next and IF Im going to pay $6 for COFFEE, I damn well better get good F'n service on something that's supposed to be fast or it better be free!!! read more

I waited 15 minutes for a white chocolate mocha, the lady that was making the drinks was not friendly. When she finish making my drink, she put it on the counter and just walked away as if she was disgusted by me. When I asked for cup holder a guy walked up and rudely addressed me as (bud) and pointed at the cup holders on the counter. This guy had no professionalism and should be working in customer service. It was no good morning sir or sorry for the wait. I only spent $5 for a horrible Starbucks experience. Thank God for McDonald's coffee.... read more
