This Starbucks is one of the best parts of Tuckahoe. It's conveniently located near the MetroNorth railroad, so you can stop by to enjoy a treat or basic meal before or after a train ride. There is ample seating and they maintain the clealiness of the restroom. Like most places in Tuckahoe, it closes fairly early in the day. It is otherwise great. The food and drinks are consistent with every other Starbucks I've been to and I've never had bad experiences with the employees, notwithstanding what other reviews indicate. read more

I go to the Starbucks every day and the service is absolutely horrible. The manager Trey has zero people skills and is completely unprofessional. I order a drink with light ice & these are examples of what is given to me Trey "the manager" told me if I wanted to fill up my drink with light ice would have to pay $1.50 more. Starbuck is a massive corporate giant which does reasonable coffee and reasonable food. It's nothing amazing but serves a purpose. What is amazing is the experience I had with a young gentleman called Ethan (i think). I am not from this area but my sister lives here, so when she had a baby, I came up three days in a row to make sure she was settling in ok at home. This meant early mornings on the train and then an essential coffee and snack to wake me up for the walk to her house. The first day Ethan was courteous, polite and welcoming. He made eye contact with me and smiled with his greeting and goodbye. The second day he remembered my name after just one encounter and almost remembered my order which I was impressed with. The third day he seemed genuinely happy to see me in there. We chatted a little and when I told him about my sister, he seemed excited and congratulate me for being an uncle. When I left once my order was ready, he even said to tell my sister congratulations... which I actually did. This brought a smile to my sister face and it was something I will remember. This is why the simplest things in customer service matter. As I said, Starbucks serves a purpose but by no means is it the best coffee. An experience like this has change what would be an ordinary experience into a positive one... one that I felt needed to be shared. People like Ethan need to be praised and singled out for how they make the customer experience a positive one. I'm looking forward to interacting with him again next time I'm visiting in the morning for my much needed coffee and snack. read more

Walking in the decor is good! It not much different from any other Starbucks but I find this location unique because its in an old train depot. Its right next to the train station! Its in a very good location right in the village of tuckahoe. Its very clean and organized and all the baked goods looked delicious on display! There is available metered parking outside for those driving in. But you can walk up the stairs from the train station and its right there. It looks very modern and VERY spacious! there is plenty of room for more seating areas. The only thing about Starbucks is the different terms but thats just me because i always stick to saying "small, medium and large" etc. But thats ok. My friend and I were just having a hard time to properly place an order in the "Starbucks lingo". Overall their coffee is great and medium-strong just how I would like it! It didn't take long to receive the order and it was fast service. The workers were good. But my friend unfortunately lost or had a belonging of hers stolen from there. The unfortunate part is that they have cameras but they said it "wasn't working". That is bothersome because for a huge chain like Starbucks why wouldn't their cameras be up to date and working? It could of made a huge different for my friend. The first time she called and spoke to someone that employee wasn't much help but the second time she called she received better care and they seemed more concerned with her situation. Its not their fault but the quality of customer service could of been better. Overall, this Starbucks location is good, coffee is great and so are the baked goods! They also have healthy snacks and beverages available to purchase as well! I also love their cups that they sell and that they have so many different choices! They did have one that was 2 dollars which saved you money each time you had a cup of coffee because your "reusing" the cup you bought which is a great idea! They should still keep doing that! I love love love starbucks, but generally don't review them because, well, they'e all essentially the same, right? But I felt the need to review this one because it was ESPECIALLY wonderful. It was very very clean and the service was fine but what really makes it fantastic for me was the atmosphere. It's located at the metro-north stop and the interior is an old railroad station! So it has a wooden bench all along the exterior wall and tables with chairs. Everything was very neat inside, I'm thinking maybe because it doesn't see as much traffic as other starbucks locations. Anyone who knows me knows that I'm not the biggest fan of Starbucks. Great place to work. I get a lot done here, because it's inviting. The staff was is great. It became crowded early in the morning, and most of the people we're just getting coffee or tea and heading out to work. They have a nice seating arrangement, that provides good amount of space to get work done, and have some privacy. They make an awesome cappuccino, take it with a shot of espresso to get me going. TERRIBLE SERVICE. My partner lives within walking distance to this Starbucks, located right next to the Metro North Tuckahoe train station. I commute back and forth here often from my apartment in Manhattan. I typically grab a caramel macchiato or latte before I catch the train home. I've been coming here for nearly a year now, and I've never had any issues with the service or products - until this morning. I was aiming to catch the 10:16 AM train to Manhattan - today is Tuesday, July 7th. At 10:05 AM my partner and I walked into Starbucks. We were the only two customers. There were 4 employees behind the counter laughing and joking around. It was a nice environment (I like it when employees get along and are in a good mood!) We walked up to the register to order and waited there, being IGNORED while the employees continued to play hit each other and make jokes, for nearly 5 minutes before one of the four employees slowly made her way to the counter to take our order. We weren't greeted when we entered the store either, which typically happens at any service based establishment. I ordered a tall, flat white (that's steamed milk w/ 2 shots of espresso) and a decaf iced caramel macchiato. Even on a busy weekday morning with the rush hour traffic, this location typically gets our order out in 5-7 minutes correctly and with smiles and friendly, prompt service. This morning, however, my partner and I waited patiently while the 4 employees continued to play karate with each other while our order had been taken, and no one started to make our drinks. All in all, the train came and left at 10:17 AM and I was still waiting inside Starbucks for our drinks while the staff played. We finally got our drinks at 10:17-10:18 AM as I sprinted to no avail after a train leaving the station. Total time for 2 drinks took 11 minutes and WE WERE THE ONLY TWO CUSTOMERS. Time is money in NYC and this morning was a severe disappointment in the immature and UNPROFESSIONAL STAFF behavior and TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE. This location particularly is usually mindful of the train schedule given its location next to the metro north. Today was a poor exception to the usually outstanding customer service to which I've grown accustomed. I shouldn't have to request that the STAFF STOP PLAYING AROUND AND DO THEIR JOBS. I have been to many Starbucks and this location is a little disappointing. The layout is a little odd and inconvenient. The doors are always open and make it difficult to sit and enjoy a cup of coffee. The coffee here was also not very good. I'm not the biggest fan of Starbucks coffee because it's a strong dark roast and can taste ashy if not made correctly.
