"Get me to the green straw!"
    Juliet H.

In an admittedly dramatic retort, I thought to myself, "Well, why don't you just close for the day?!" Honestly, I've never been told "no" so many times in a single Starbucks visit. The hubs and I have made it unscathed in previous visits to this location, but this time, with a 5-hour drive ahead of us-- we got burned. We pulled into the drive thru and I ordered a tall, soy, upside-down, caramel macchiato (my fave). The response was, "I'm sorry we're out of soy milk." (Cue the 20 seconds of silence and blinking) Not a deal breaker, I simply (albeit begrudgingly) switched my milk selection. Done! The hubs was up next, and proceeded to order a grande caramel frap, no whip (his fave). The reply to his order was, "I apologize again, we're out of caramel." ... Keep in mind that I had just ordered a caramel macchiato! (The wishful thinking in me assumed that they used the last of the caramel on my drink so I didn't ask questions.) The hubs was thrown completely off and didn't know what to order instead, so they threw out a suggestion and he went with it. By the time all was said and done, hubs ended up with the equivalent to a vanilla bean milkshake (with no caffeine whatsoever, which defeated the whole purpose), and I ended up with a caramel-less caramel macchiato. Bleh. In a last ditch effort to salvage this visit, I asked for a manager so we could get two of the "we're out of everything and ruined your drinks, so come back and order what you really want" cards. We were greeted by Cheyanne (manager on duty), she obliged, and asked us to pull forward so she could come out to give us the cards. I was feeling better already. After about a 7-minute wait, Cheyanne came out to the car to inform us that they were also out of the cards. (I honestly thought she was kidding at first, but nope!) The saga continued. Cheyanne had a plan though. She signed, dated, and wrote "2 free drinks" on a cup sleeve and presented it to us. It wasn't pretty, but it did the trick. Thankfully, this story does have a happy ending! On our way back through town a couple of days later, we stopped back in and presented the sleeve for our free drinks! It was a seamless transaction and all was well with the world. Phew. Good save!

Half of a grande latte they served me instead of a whole drink. Wth.

They serve half a drink as a grande flat white. The drive thru was fairly quick, which is to be expected when you're only heating up half the milk they need

OMG!!! I've never done a yelp review but lemme tell you about this beautiful place. I drove Nashville to Houston and stopped here bc I needed caffeine and told my barista my situation. She helped me craft a perfect drink of flavors I like plus strong caffeination. When I came back from the bathroom, my food had little encouraging notes on it :)))

It was so good! The coffee was great as well! My husband and I are kind of boring, he got a black pour over and I got a plain double shot of espresso. Both were made perfectly! The two baristas on duty did an awesome Job and the customer service was amazing! We will definitely go again if we are ever in the area!

Meh... I've definitely had better, though it wasn't the worst I've ever tasted. What really…read moredampened the experience was the price. I ordered a scoop of their espresso gelato, but the portion was so small it looked more like a child-sized sample than a proper scoop. Then, for an additional charge, I received a drizzle of flavorless chocolate sauce. When I asked for cookie crumbles, I was charged another $1.00 and given what amounted to about a quarter of an Oreo cookie. I'm not exaggerating. I'm a small person, so I know what a modest portion looks like--but this was tiny, even by my standards. It felt more appropriate for a 5-year-old than a paying customer. What frustrates me most is when "specialty" shops charge premium prices for products that don't feel special at all. The only thing that seemed exceptional here was the inflated cost. In all honesty, I would have enjoyed a Peanut Buster Parfait from Dairy Queen far more.

First off, can't tell you how heartbreaking it is to know that Pecan Point is permanently closed…read more This place was an absolute gem. Five star all the way. The vibe and atmosphere was stellar. The staff were more than friendly and knew their craft beers! We tried some new flavors and were made undeniable fans. I ordered a plate of Duck Fat Fries. This is a total game changer! Even more so, dipping them golden fried sticks in Truffle Mayo... as Buford T. Justice would say... SUMBITCH. And that homemade ketchup? So good it made me want to go smack Junior's mama. We also ordered the Crawfish Dip. It was disgustingly scrumpdidallyumtious!!! Pure flavor profile explosion in my mouth. Never had anything like that before. My wife and I also decided to split a Smash Burger and that thick cut bacon with juicy beef patties... damn. One of the most memorable and satisfying experiences I've ever had, and I haven't even talked about the drinks. My eyes sparkled when I seen a Toasted Pecan Old Fashioned on the menu. A must try. ER MA GAWD!!! One of the best I've ever had... everrrrrr! We also ordered the Cinn-Full Cran Hard Cider by Locust... I now have to find this... just have to! My FIL ordered an ice cream treat with three spoons... lol. Everyone had to give it a try. We ended up ordering a growler of the State Street Blonde to go, and it lasted a day. Unbelievable. I'm heartbroken the place is closed, but will forever leave an impression of Texarkana for me. Thank you! As always, Enjoy & Happy Road-tripping!!

While passing through on a road trip, my local friend recommended Pecan Point and I'm glad I went. Located in downtown, you'll find free street parking in front of the restaurant. We were greeted as soon as we entered and the inside is spacious and casual. I ordered the raspberry Chipotle smash burger ($16), peach cobbler, and a flight of beer and cider ($10). What made this burger stand out was the raspberry Chipotle sauce and fried jalapeños! The flight includes four 4oz pours of any draught and mine were Irish red ale, Pecan Pointe ale, bock beer, and apple cider. The Irish red was my favorite and the Pecan Pointe my least. I would have liked the cobbler to be a little more crunchy, but was still enjoyable. I recommend and will visit again when in town.
