I am a regular customer at this location and bring my 91-year-old father with me every single day, but my experience today was completely unacceptable. When I received my drink at the drive-thru, it was clearly made with the wrong milk. I politely asked the drive-thru employee for a remake with non-fat milk. Instead of simply fixing it, a tall, stocky, bearded employee--who I later learned is a manager named Mahlon--came to the window to confront me. He argued with me about the order, claiming he saw the barista use the right milk based on the cap color, and sarcastically told me he would remake it, but "it's still going to be the same color." When I received the "remade" drink, the color was still off, and after a few sips, it tasted terrible--leaving an awful taste in my mouth and making me suspect it wasn't actually remade. I went inside to request a full refund. Rather than handling the situation professionally, Mahlon confronted me again at the register. He escalated the situation by aggressively claiming, "You complain all the time and always ask to have your drinks remade," and proceeded to interrogate and bait me over whether I've ever had a drink remade in the past. As a loyal daily customer, being argued with, patronized, and interrogated over a drink error is absurd. Customer service here has severely declined, and I hope management addresses Mahlon's argumentative behavior. read more

My wife and I have been frequenting this particular Starbucks since it opened. It's the regular stop EVERYDAY as long as we are in our area. We added it up for the CULPRIT (MR.BEARD) in this story after today's events. We spent $4964.00 at this Starbucks last year alone. It has always been one of the best in our opinion and we enjoyed coming there. People knew us as regulars and always made us feel appreciated as customers. Recently, it has changed. New staff and terrible attitudes toward a customer when something goes wrong. So, My wife has problems with regular milk and always orders non-fat. It immediately affects her when you she has regular fatty milk. She can't drink it. So occasionally she gets a drink that has 2% that she can't drink. Her and I both can tell the difference in the color of her drink and she can definitely tell the difference IMMEDIATELY if she drinks it. There is a clear color difference when the wrong milk is used for her. We understand that most people get 2% and out of the regular progression of habit it can happen that her drink is made with 2%. Mistakes happen, the pressure of being busy. When a problem happens, it's not that there's a problem that should be concerned about in business, (unless it's recurring) it's how can we fix it. Right? Well today, my wife pulled through the drive-thru to get her regular drink and when they handed it out, she knew that it was wrong. Extremely lighter color than when non-fat is used. So she asked for it to be remade obviously, and they brought her another. It too was to light. What she assumed was a mgr came over and told my wife that it was non-fat that he watched her make it. So, my wife drives off and parks to try it and put it in her Yeti. She tastes it and has to spit it out. It was made with regular 2% milk. At this point she goes into Starbucks and just asks for a refund. The girls that made it swore it was right then the MAYBE BUT WHY MGR (Tall, bearded, large tooth gap) comes up and asks what's wrong. He then proceeds to tell my wife that she's a complainer. That she always complains. When she said that's not true, he says SO YOU'VE NEVER RETURNED A DRINK!!!! WHAT THE ???? WHY WOULD YOU SAY THAT???? SHE DIDN'T SAY THAT!!!! WHY WOULD YOU TALK TO A REGULAR CUSTOMER THAT SPENT $4964.00 LAST YEARS AT YOUR COFFEE JOINT LIKE THAT. She never said she never returned one. She's returned a few. EVERYTIME IT'S MADE WITH REGULAR 2% MILK!!!!. That on you Mr Bearded MGR. TRAIN YOUR STAFF! And then, if you are the MGR, you should read some books on dealing with customers that keep your doors open!!!!. MR. STARBUCK, CAN YOU PLEASE BRING BACK PEOPLE THAT CARE SO WE CAN COME BACK TO THE STARBUCKS WE LOVE? So, I'm not usually someone who writes reviews, but what I witnessed today didn't sit right with me. I'm a regular customer at this location and come here almost every day. The staff is always friendly, welcoming, and professional. Today, I watched a young woman come in and politely ask one of the employees if they were hiring. The employee responded kindly and said, "Yes, we are. Let me get the manager." When the manager came out, he barely looked at her and immediately said, "No, we're not hiring." You could see the confusion on the young woman's face after being told the exact opposite by an employee just moments earlier. She quietly walked out, and it was obvious she felt discouraged and embarrassed. As an adult observing this interaction, I couldn't help but feel that the manager may have judged this young woman before taking even a moment to speak with her or learn anything about her. Afterward, I started looking around and noticed there appeared to be very little diversity among the staff. The manager and all of the employees working at the time were Caucasian, while the applicant was a young Latina woman. I sincerely hope I'm wrong, but the situation left a very negative impression. To make matters more concerning, I later checked online and found an active job posting for this location, which raises the question: if they are hiring, why was she told they were not? I cannot say with certainty what the manager's intentions were, but from a customer's perspective, the interaction appeared dismissive and unfair. I believe upper management should review this situation to ensure that all applicants are treated with respect and given an equal opportunity to be considered. This Starbucks opened last year during the pandemic. I'm not sure if it was intended to shut down the one near AMC Highwoods and transfer the staff to this more spacious location before covid or it was done after. This location is located opposite the main entrance to Hunter's Green and is in a plaza with Sprouts, and other businesses like yogasix, and Grain and Berry, with First Watch, and Fresh Kitchen imminent. All employees were wearing masks and there are social distance markers on the ground which customers were mostly following. I came here twice to try the new Oat Milk Brown Sugar Shaken Espresso. I'm surprised to find that it wasn't as super sweet and the brown sugar /oat taste was relatively subtle. A grande was $5.92 which is usually a venti drink price which is annoying. Even with the high price, crushed ice 2/3 of the volume. 3.5/5 Pros: Compared to the one at AMC, this one has more space inside and a small outside space. Though interior dining is disabled due to COVID for now. There is a drive thru available. Since it is in not in the middle of a Y, the parking is more convenient. Cons BS Oat milk price In terms of just distance, the SB near the VA is closer to me, but that one is on an incline and the parking is more narrow. This one will probably be my main one. read more

They are either vastly understaffed or incompetent I waited in the drive thru for 30 minutes, which is insane.
