This location is great, but the long waits are not good. I would give it a 5 star, but I've had to wait for my mobile order for like 20 minutes from ordering. I understand they have a busy area but it can get frustrating to wait in the lobby or drive thru with a ton of people waiting around too. That's my only issue. Everything else is A+! read more

I'm actually shocked that this Starbucks has a three star average. This is the Starbucks I go to very often since having two children and I think it's great. I would like to drink local more often, but again with two children I can't over emphasize the benefits of having a drive-through. So for the time being all my money is going to Starbucks. I find that it moves very fast. There have been times that I look at the line and think do I really need my coffee but I'm always reminded about how quickly it goes because the answer is yes, I always need my coffee. My favorite is the salted caramel cold brew. I love salted caramel and it's the right amount of sweetness. The employees are always super friendly and I've never spoken with anyone who seems to be having a bad day. My son loves the cake pops. They don't always have all of them, one time they didn't have the cookie dough cake pop so we had to pivot to a chocolate one. Luckily he's too young to understand that it didn't have the one that he wanted. It's quick the people are friendly and the drinks are always the same. What more do you want? read more

The drive through line is ridiculously long most days and the weekend takes 30-40 min to get through it. There are maybe 8 cars in line. By the time you get your drink it's melted and the food is cold. The food items they just through in the oven and then it sits there on the counter for 30 min. One of the worst Starbucks in the area. I believe that starbucks is one of the best places to go get drinks and hand held snacks. Everything I have ever gotten from here has been so good and definitely worth getting again. My favorite drink to get is a strawberry açaí lemonade refresher with light ice and no strawberríes. Every time I go to starbucks the tables are always clean and the workers will always supply you with a straw even if you don't need one. Also they workers will always great you when you walk in and make you feel comfortable. Also it is always a nice environment to do homework or even just to relax after a long day. Not the most amazing location, but it gets the job done. There is tons of parking, which is nicely separated from the drive-thru on one side. The partners are very friendly and seem to enjoy their work. This morning, they all humored this incredibly loquacious older gentleman, who engaged nearly all of the morning staff in loud conversations about baseball, stripper videos, and mutual acquaintances. There were smiles all around, even when the conversation got a little awkward. My experience with the partners has always been positive, and my drinks have been spot on. I did get a bacon, egg, and gouda breakfast sandwich this morning that was still slightly cold in the middle. That's never what you want in the morning. However, my flat white was made to specification and tasted great (though I noticed it lacked the proper finesse before the lid went on). Overall, this is a decent Starbucks. Not as much seating as some places (like the newer one on Hillsborough/Tampa Road), but there were still some people there working away. The store was very clean, and its proximity to my work makes me a regular customer. read more

I went to purchase 2 coffees with a $100 bill and the manager rudely told me they do NOT accept any $50 or $100 bills! I told them that this was legal tender and she said they do not accept it! I come to this 'bucks location because I happen to be on Racetrack a lot, but it's not my fave. If it didn't have a drive thru I wouldn't come at all. For whatever reason this 'bucks doesn't make my coffee right. They always use more milk than espresso. I like my coffee to be robust, which normally I can get in a mocha or latte, but this location seems to skimp on how much coffee actually goes into those drinks...so I try to only get a tall when I come here. The bigger the drink the more milk they add. Yuck. I prefer the one all the way on Anderson and drive out of the way at times just to go there. read more

Drive thru service on the way to the doctor's office. I needed coffee. I NEEDED coffee like whoa! The drive through wasn't terribly backed up, and there was a young man being trained on the register. I saw the trainer being very patient with him. That made me happy. The coffee was made to the right temperature. Often you'll find that the coffee is made too hot, and the steamed milk is scorched, luckily this was just right. I'm happy with what I got, but there is always room for improvement. read more

To me, it's sometimes the small things that count. I asked her for one thing and she knew there was a better solution and took care of it . I love that!! I cannot describe into words how marvelous this location is! The staff is stellar! What I truly want to boast about is their manager, Lacey! From the first day I met her, she was genuinely kind and pleasant. It didn't take long at all for her to remember my name. There was one instance that I will never forget. One Saturday morning, I had to go to a nearby location instead of my normal spot here on Race Track Road. I didn't know this at the time but Lacey was actually at this other location training new team members. It was a very busy morning and I had to wait longer than usual for my order. It wasn't a huge deal but I did make a mental note that maybe this location wasn't best for me to visit on the weekend mornings. The following week, I went about my normal routine and ordered my usual at the Race Track location. The cashier told me to please wait one moment as Lacey raced over (during the normal busy morning rush) and handed me a $4 recovery card! She said she saw me at the other location and that it had taken a long time for my order to be fulfilled. She thought it would be warranted to give me the recovery card! I was blown away! I told everyone that would listen the next few days because of how pleased I was with Lacey's customer service. She is TOP NOTCH! I moved to North Carolina recently and sadly will miss this location AND LACEY very much! read more

I've had good experiences at this Starbucks. Pretty hard to screw up an iced black coffee or an iced blonde americano. The service here has always been great and all of my online orders have been fulfilled on time. The following comment has no impact on rating - They just did a complete remodel of the inside but I am not a huge fan of the two huge tables in the middle of the store. Someone gave a one star because they didn't like the remodel....hmmmm...ok. This is an excellent location with fantastic employees who provide outstanding customer service. They are quick even during the morning rush. The windows allow a refreshing amount of light in without being blinded. I particularly like the long tables that promote a friendly feeling instead of being segregated tables that clutter up the room. This also makes the location feel more roomy. It's not cheap to buy their coffee and they also put a lot of whip cream to hide the amount of coffee they gave me. One of the cutest locations I've been to, and a short walk from Samurai Blue. Sushi and coffee? Heaven. The baristas were engaging, lively, and humorous. In the very brief time it took to order my drink, I had a conversation with comments from all of them. My barista even asked me if I was an "ey" or an "ay" Lindsey for my cup. The drive thru was packed but they get cars in and out. There are a lot of workers inside the restaurant but they aren't smiling. I went at 8am and no one seemed to be happy to be there. Typically this Starbucks has friendly employees and pretty good service but last week I had an odd experience. I was driving to Orlando when I went through the drive through. My coffee tasted normal but when I got to the bottom I discovered it was full of coffee grinds. After that sip full of grounds I noticed the sleeve on my drink had a message that said "Be Kind" and the rest of the sleeve was shaded red. No idea why this message would have been to me since we didn't really interact with anyone for very long and went through the drive through. In any case I'm disappointed and we may be skipping this Starbucks in the future. read more

Very seldom do I leave positive reviews. As bad as that sounds. However this Starbucks is my absolute favorite. It seems like I've always had issues with any other Starbucks. I've been getting coffee from them every day on my way to school and they're super awesome. Their staff is really nice and go out of their way to make it feel like you're a valued customer. As far as Starbucks go, this location used to be okay. Friendly service, upbeat and somewhat comedic baristas and always orderly. Well, over the past 6 years, something odd has happened. Kids... Young ass CHILDREN are now hipstering it up and drinking freaking COFFEE. How this happened, I don't know. Maybe it was the suburban soccer moms constantly rolling thru to grab an over-priced cup of Joe with their tots in the baby seat, and now those tots have grown up a wee bit. Who knows? But I stopped in at this location at the request of my aunt who was in town from St. Louis, and it was a disaster. The line was a mile long with kids under the age of 12 who couldn't make up their damn minds on what to order. It took a good 10-15 minutes just to get up to the counter. And as if that wasn't enough, they were all loud as hell. I couldn't even hear myself think, let alone have a conversation with their silly school chatter bouncing off of the tile flooring. When I think of Starbucks, or any coffee shop for that matter, I think of a nice, relaxing joint to sip some coffee and get my ponder on. Good luck with that at this location. Have to use the bathroom? Get in line, it's gonna be a while. These kids must hold their piss all day, and then queue up here or some shit. The lines to get into the restroom were a kin to what one might see at a night club, only with children. There is an elementary and middle school in close proximity, and apparently the kids all scramble to Starbucks when they get out. Maybe they should put a play area out front with slides and swings. This is probably the slowest Starbucks I've ever been to. It looked like the 8 or so employees were just shuffling around trading places and only one of them was actually making drinks. I walked in and there was NO LINE and only 3 cars in the drive thru yet it still took 5 minutes of me standing directly in front of the register to have my order taken and 5 more minutes to get my drink. I ordered an iced chai! Literally scoop ice, pour milk in, pour chai concentrate, serve...and THAT took 10 minutes. Adding to the frustration is the fact that my nearly $5 "tall" (small) drink tasted like a glass of chai-flavored milk because there wasn't enough TEA in it. This will be my first and last trip to this Starbucks. I'll go to a gas station or drive to the Kahwa truck before I walk over to this place again. read more

We travel... a lot. We always hit starbucks. Some are beautiful, some are busy, some are perfunctory. This is near our home, so we tend to drop in often. This is the most polite Starbucks I've ever been to, more than Pike Place, Disney, South Carolina, New York, Cali, etc. it's not the most updated highest tech or most beautiful, but the significant respect, professional courtesy and cheer by the morning staff cannot be overlooked as a step above.
