This location has the best baristas of any location I have visited. Smiles were the first thing I noticed as I approached the counter. Asking a question was met with an enthusiastic response and a very pleasant helpful person began my order. Usually Starbucks is a routine, matter of fact experience for me but today was different. These ladies made me feel special: so special I ended up buying a cup to go along with my coffee. And the coffee was wonderful!!! Exactly as I ordered it. I was on my way to Asheville and needed a quick stop. I ordered via the mobile app to cut down on time spent off the highway. When I arrived at the store, it was 12 minutes past the pickup time. After using the restroom, my order was still not ready. The only other person in the store was a customer sitting in the cafe. I will say there were a couple of cars in the drive thru. One barista was making nitro coffee, and idk what the supervisor was doing. When I went to the register, I told them about the order, and I was told they were "short-staffed". The barista looked over and it was obvious they had just failed to see my order come in. Cool, whatever, but don't keep insisting, as they both did, that they were too short-staffed to make two drinks that literally took less than 3 minutes to make. The barista also didn't secure my lid, and as I exited the door, the lid came off and spilled some of my drink. The supervisor came out after I made a loud statement about how irresponsible it was to keep blaming them being "short-staffed" and tried to give me a gift card. A little too late. While a gift card would have been nice, a sincere apology with taking responsibility of what actually happened--instead of a half-ass apology so I don't write a negative review--would have been much more appreciated. As a former Sbux barista and shift supervisor, this is unacceptable. You never know who is coming into your store, so own up to your mistakes. Glad I retracted that tip. The basic drip coffee was COLD, which has never happened to me at a Starbucks before. The barista offered to dump it out and pour a new cup to heat up, but that's such a waste. Sensory wise: the bathrooms smelled like stale smoke and the music was wayyy too loud. read more

I don't know what Kiki's problem is. Every time we go this Starbucks, the staff is great. They are what make the experience great. But Kiki? Her attitude almost caused me to walk out before even completing my order. She was rude and purposefully wasted my time and my sisters time by stopping us mid-order to look through the "tip binder." I don't think I've had a problem with service at this location, but their hours are super wonky. They have different operating hours listed everywhere -- Google, Yelp, etc.-- but more often than not, they're closed unexpectedly. (I am 100% for putting life ahead of work when need be, but this has become such a problem at this location). Not only that, but the way they let you know always varies; they might have a sign on the drive thru screen, one on the front door, or maybe one on the actual pick-up window. So, you may or may not sit in a line of people who have all driven in at once not knowing they're closed and waiting to order. Today, they had a sign out saying their operating hours are 10-2pm. 4-6 hours earlier than they should be. What is up with this location?? The SB off exit 50 is probably the safer bet if you really need a fix. read more

this is usually my go to starbucks since it's convenient for me unfortunately Today I went I stood there waiting to place my order for over 7 minutes. There were 5 workers there and I was the only on the line " DJ one of the workers I assumed he was working the front register and was filling ice saw me and didn't acknowledge me. The worker that was taking orders for drive through had to come take my order. As soon as I finished placing my order I white gentleman came in and DJ put the ice down and immediately took his order. A bigger Starbucks than what we are used to in statesville. A lot of seats, it's a new building so you bet it's a modern one which is nice. Productive and attentive staff. Quick in and out, a great spot for family and friends. I'm glad this location was added on the other side of town. read more

My husband and drink Starbucks almost everyday. This is the first time I face the worst experience. I went in there one early afternoon ( 9/9/21). There was a lady (her name is Kiki). She took my order and I asked for breakfast sandwich, but I was not sure what's it called because they didn't put any name on them so i pointed to the one I would like to order . KK looked at me like she was about to kill me and kept asking one which breakfast with her angry tone . I said sorry I was not sure what's called but I pointed and showed her which one and she said she couldn't see she could just look at it and see but seemed like she hated me for some reasons even though we have never met before. Shortly after, she replied that they did t have any breakfast left she could have said that at the beginning when I said I would like to get the breakfast. I was about to walk out but I forgave her and tried to order my drink. She put the order I did not order. It was a sad day! I used to work as a customer service and I had never treated people like this way . Still, I do not understandably some people treat other people like that. I'll be honest, I used to work at this Starbucks. It's a really nice place, and the people I worked with are mostly good people and do their job. I went through their drive thru today and I really couldn't be more disappointed. They've really gone down in quality since I've been there, and the fact that the shift supervisor was running the drive thru, saw the cup, and still gave it out is extremely frustrating for someone who values high standards. Especially during the pandemic, cleanliness should be their top priority, and the quality of their service goes along with that too. I'd be dumb if I spent my money here again. read more

Two days ago they didn't put all the condiments in with my classic oatmeal. Today what should take five minutes took 20. There were five employees working and they were too busy to help the customers who walked in and more concerned about mobiles and drive thru orders. The one employee who finally gave us our order did not have a name tag on and did not apologize for the way but instead wanted to know if we picked up someone's mobile order. I've wasted so much time in this drive through thinking the wait was just long, then coming to the realization that they're closed.
