The coffee is really tasty, and you get really nice amaretto biscuits with them. The food is delicious as well, and all freshly made that day. If you don't like what they've got prepared, they'll make you something else! They do a loyalty card as well, so you can earn yourself a free coffee if you go there enough. Possibly my only criticism is that is a little small so you sometimes struggle to get seating when its busy, but that just shows how popular it is!

They had quite a few staff around in the kitchen including the chef, which alone is unusual, I assume there will be fewer staff once they have been running for a few weeks. I had a roasted red onion and blue cheese tart and it arrived with the freshest of salad and watercress and with a heap of cous cous with butternut squash. It was delicious. Walking there on a rainy day (a regular day I should say), I was looking for a place to coffee-wifi-work my day. Went to starbucks first, that is the kind of place you are sure of, to check if it was busy. And because it was not, I went to check this place: cafe Nero. Huge chain, they are all over the city. The feeling was quite different than starbucks. Way more homey, cosy, with chairs, arms chairs, seats everywhere, a better vibe, free wifi also, and same selection of food available. After waiting a little to get everything served because of rush hour time I suppose, got my things and went upstairs to set up shop. Wifi access is simple, views of the street, enough space, quiet. Everything you need to work a few hours. Recommend it over Starbucks if in the area.

The Starbucks itself is probably a carbon copy of every other Starbucks you've ever seen but they do serve good coffee and have some nice comfy chairs which is why they are so popular. If you go in there for a coffee, packet of crisps and a sandwich it is unlikely that you will come away with much change from a £10! I don't really mind the prices too much though, because the coffee is really good there. They are heavily into their fair farming promotion as well, which is probably why you pay a bit more for the coffee (because its fair trade). The atmosphere is always nice and friendly in there, although if you get there at a busy trading period it can be a bit noisy and you may struggle to get a seat. Again, these are just testimonials to how popular the place is. Their food is lovely as well, again, a little over priced, but worth it for the quality of the food. I would definitely recommend Starbucks but perhaps not everyday, unless you're a millionaire!

I ordered a latte. This is where the place let its self down. It was weak even though they said it had a couple of shots in it. Basically it tasted like warmed up milk. Now for a place that calls itself an Espresso bar you would expect better, no? Inside is small but decent enough, and I grabbed myself a seat by the window so I could watch the passers by. They also serve a small selection of cakes and sandwiches.
