Yogurt nuts and stuff with a chai on the side.

Apparently this is the place to hang out with your laptop. We stopped in on a Saturday when we were in the area for a coffee and a snack. Inside it is much larger that it appears, especially once you get to the back where they expanded out and have a large open room with plenty of plants hanging down. Most of the tables had people crashed out at them with face forward staring and screens. So, I'd say if you are looking for a place to hang out and work on that novel this is it. For food and coffee - I had a chai latte which was just okay. It had kind of an odd flavour to it, that wasn't for me. The yogurt bowl and various healthy items in the yogurt was pretty good.

    Cool decor in the back

Nice enough place. It's much bigger on the inside - but the front area is definitely more cosy. The back is bright and airy though and the decoration is really lovely. Had a mocha and a piece of cake both of which were ok but nothing special (the frosting on the cake was delicious though). Staff is very attentive and friendly, too.

If you're looking for a cafe to catch up with a friend, start on your weekend grind, or to read a book this is the place! Just off of Cambridge Heath station, it offers lots of seating, great atmosphere with plants/lighting/music, and free WiFi. It is also pretty close to the Columbia flower market on Sunday's if you're looking for a place to get some work done afterward a day out! It is generally not too crowded and mostly enjoyed by locals, though spaces may fill out if they have an event in the back area. The coffee is a little more expensive for the size and taste compared to others in the area, but the ambience makes it worth the price. Heads up - the cafe closes at 6pm and converts into a bar that opens until 11pm instead. Overall great location and place!

Small and cosy I'd call this little coffee place in hackney. Looking for a place (not being Cosat Coffee or Pret) we stumbled into that friendly dude's coffee house. I was really surprised as they were able to make me a almond milk flat white as I cant do soy or dairy. Coffee is really good and served well. Additionally you can get some fresh/ local/organic pressed juices (bottled) and granola in there.

Ham checking out the new space at Hackney Coffee Company.

The Hackney Coffee Company have expanded their premises at the same location and boy they have done an amazing job. Lovingly restored wooden framed frontage, exposed brick walls, quirky furniture and a green oasis of calm at the back of the building with amazing natural light. The team are now serving up cocktails and a selection of food. Also dog friendly.

Stumbled upon this place looking for a cup of coffee and wifi...what a find! This place has plenty of seating, fast Wifi, tasty coffee, plants, and soothing tunes. An ideal spot if you want a relaxing spot to get some work done! Highly recommend.

Came here for breakfast since it is right by my hotel, and although the breakfast is limited to bakery items, they had a couple sandwich options as well. So I got a mocha and tomato pesto sandwich and was pleasantly surprised by how yummy everything was! I've been striking out at breakfast restaurants, and was at first disappointed by lack of egg options, but oddly this is the best breakfast I've yet had in London.

I am so disappointed that I have only just learned about this wonderful cafe!! I travel to London…read moreperiodically for work. On my last visit, a coworker told me about this little gem, which is not far from Lloyd's. It was a freezing cold day, I didn't have a coat, but I still went on the journey to Konditor & Cook. They have such a huge variety of cakes, brownies, and other sweet treats, along with coffees and other beverages. I got the lemon cake, which came highly recommended - it was amazing! I also had a hot chocolate (I don't drink coffee often), but my coworker had a latte and it looked good. This shop is now on my regular rotation in London...it's always a great day when you have cake for lunch!

I always stop into Konditor & Cook on the back of the Gherkin for a little treat when I'm craving…read moresome good homemade food. I know they are typically known for their cakes but the lunches here give you quick access to homemade classic dishes. I usually get the enchilladas, chili con carne, fish pie (super good!) or one of the daily quiches. The menu changes daily and there is rarely a time I don't find something to drool over. If you go I highly recommend the Boston Brownie, Raspberry Chequerboard Cake and the Millionaire Shortbread from the bakery. My only issue: Take the mushrooms out of the Mac n Cheese! Seriously, who puts mushrooms in mac n cheese???
