Things I have eaten there more than once that I would definitely recommend are the 'Nick's Feast' jacket potato (quite a cute idea that customers can come up with their own combinations of fillings for sarnies or potatoes and get it named after them on the menu) which has LOADS of hummous, rocket, olives, sundried tomatoes, grilled aubergine and and and...I can't remember what else is on it, but it's big, filling and yummy. I remember reading somewhere that some scientists discovered that fat plus protein equals great hangover cure, which explains why I was craving a full English this morning after Friday night's excesses. That's what I'll tell myself anyway... Food for Thought is a colourful little cafe with a conscience. It's biggest selling point is the use of free-range ingredients, and the wide range of healthy meals on the menu, from salad boxes to jacket potatoes. I opted for the slightly less healthy but much-needed veggie English Breakfast, which at £3.80 was very reasonably priced and came with fried egg, hash brown, veggie sausage (consisting of potatoes, carrots and other vegetables), tomatoes, mushrooms, beans and loads of buttered toast. It was pretty bog standard, but perfect for a lazy weekend breakfast. The cappuccino was good and strong, and soon whipped me out of my hungover haze. Friendly service, fresh ingredients, and good simple café food with plenty of healthy options makes Food for Thought a firm Willesden favourite.
