I returned to this Starbucks (store 49969) on Telegraph Rd. just south of I-696 recently, and it's now become my FAVORITE place for morning coffee in the city. The space is small. It's generally clean. Drive-thru and outdoor seating is available. Atmosphere and background music within is chill. Decor - inviting. Every associate I encounter is attentive and pleasant. The food and beverages served are consistent with Starbucks' quality. I suggest previous naysayers give this spot another try. read more

This location is pretty new, and I see after reading reviews that the drive thru tends to be slow. On the 2 occasions I visited this weekend, the first time was super fast, and the second time was fairly slow, but not THAT slow. Honestly, I tend to think that Starbucks customers are particularly impatient folks. BUT...I guess I'll wait and see for myself, as I fully intend to return, at least on the weekends. This location is very conveniently located 2 minutes from my apartment. I didn't order anything fancy - a pumpkin spice latte and pumpkin cream cold brew - both of them were made perfectly, and delicious. They even left a nice message - "keep smiling," on my latte cup. :) Both times, the barista was super friendly, and on the slower day, he apologized several times for my wait, though it really wasn't that long. I had 3 cars in front of me, and probably waited 7 minutes or so? I'll be back for my fancy coffee fix! read more

I ordered a triple and they gave me a double. I told the rude young lady that it wasn't a triple by the color. She said she would take another one and took mine. I told her I'll just take the shot and add it. She ignored me. I watched her put extreme amount of caramel inside another cup, grab my order and poured in the cup and hand it to me and tell me it's a triple now. I looked at her like are you kidding me right now? I said this is not a triple I watched you pour my cup into the other cup, so I want to refund and she said the manager wasn't there she couldn't give me a refund. I will be contacting Starbucks for my refund but I recommend not going to this location. The customer service is awful. read more

This location is brand spanking new! It was just recently built and open, and it's so nice to have a Starbucks on this side of the expressway. I stopped in to grab a coffee and check it out, and it was super busy already. Lots of people on their computers, standing in line getting coffee. The staff here is really accommodating and considering how new it is, ran very smoothly. Place is wonderfully decorated and has a full menu and items to shop for like food, bags of coffee, mugs and other items as well. I will be back and thank you for opening at this location! read more

Lines are long which is to be expected however, the lines don't move. You can legitimately wait in line for an hour or more! To make matters more frustrating your order is rarely prepared the same way. Its the luck of the draw at this location. They don't even attempt to do better. This location is a very poor representation of the brand and could turn a person off Starbucks as a whole. It's sad because there is so much potential for greatness at this location. Great location... and well. The service kills everything. 1. When it opened, it was understaffed and the employees lacked training 2. They seem to have a lot of turnover. They need to hire better people as many of them just should't be working with the public. 3. The good employees seem overwhelmed by the above issues I was just in there today at 3pm. Two employees started face-timing someone. One of them was off duty, the other was still working when the conversation started. She eventually was off shift and kept on with the conversation. When I say they were so loud it was inconsiderate. As they left, they yelled across the cafe. The manager (a very young lady) seemed exacerbated by their behavior. We spoke on it for a moment. This location needs a serious HR improvement plan ASAP. I only came back here because the Starbucks north of 12 mile was very busy. It was my bday on 3/25. Roman was a sweetheart and actually cared about how long my order was taking. The uber driver didn't take my order and instead took another order. Not only did Roman call me himself, he remade my coffees so they were fresh AND he told me he was going to give me a free special food item for the hassle and because it was my bday. I really appreciated that. However.... when the coffee arrived, there was nothing there. I kinda think the uber driver took it because it was free and wasn't on my receipt. Or Roman lied to me. But I think it was the uber driver because Roman just sounded so damn nice and caring on the phone :) This place redeemed itself with Roman. This Starbucks is fairly new, but they need to fire ALL the staff and start over again. There are three Starbucks within 2 miles of my home..which is weird. This one is closest to the freeway, which is nice. However, do not waste your time here...just go down a little farther and visit the one on 12 mile and Telegraph or the one on Northwestern Hwy near 12 mile. The service is the slowest I've ever seen from a Starbucks. No one should be waiting in a drive thru for 10+ minutes for coffee. The staff is extremely rude and clearly do not care. I pull up to the window and the girl didn't greet me, tell me my total...she just reached her hand out for payment..she handed me a hot drink when I ordered iced then had the nerve to roll her eyes when I asked for what I ordered and just handed me my food and shut the window. She didn't open her mouth AT ALL. It's already early as hell and most of us are probably still tired/sleepy and in need of coffee...the last thing I need is someone's attitude! This Starbucks location is totally inconsistent. Popped in for a quick coffee only to be told I had to download the app and place my order that way, or leave the store, get back in my car and go to the drive-thru. That was 1.5 hours ago and now customers are entering and able to pay at the register. Worker could offer no explanation for this inconsistency other than "depends on the number of workers we have", mind you no new workers had come or left since my arrival. I can see them all. A terrible start to my day with them. I ordered through the app, and was at the drive-thru a few minutes later to pick up my order. After waiting for about 5 minutes at the speaker with no acknowledgement from the other side, I pulled up to the window to see a guy yelling at me and motioning through it. He finally opened the window to tell me they're still closed because they were late to open up (by almost an hour), and that they're still getting things ready so it'll be another 30 minutes. I asked him how I should cancel my order, and he made a visibly exasperated face and shut the window to talk to his co-worker. A few moments later, the co-worker pops her head through and tells me my order will be ready in 3 minutes. Roughly 10 minutes later, the first guy announces "we don't have the turkey sandwich". After waiting for him to refund me (I had already paid through the app), I finally had to ask for it. He gave me the worst look and shut the window again. I finally got my refund and food a couple minutes after that from his co-worker, along with an apology. read more

Very bad location. The staff are not helpful nor friendly. They always get our orders wrong. During a covid crisis they gave me a cold drink with a sip cup lid and I asked for a straw and normal lid as I do not wish to put my mouth on a lid they at least 2 people touched with contaminated gloves. One person who made the drink and then the other who grabbed by the top that controlled the register.. she said "Starbucks is doing away with straws and lids and we don't have any" so I ended up driving off and tossed my drink bc I never ended up drinking it on my drive.. I can tell every single time I come here that they are understaffed and struggle. Corporate needs to either close this location or step in. read more

Skip this Starbucks!! Do yourself a HUGE favor and drive the extra 1.4 miles north on Telegraph to the other Starbucks. This location has rude, clueless baristas who will make your drink wrong at least as often as they make it right ... and then act like it's *your* fault there's a problem. I really struggle with this Starbucks because while the staff people are technically nice, the speed of service is repeatedly poor. Whenever I go through the drive thru, I typically wait a much longer time than I do at other locations despite this location not seeing as many people. The other day, I waited for 15 minutes for one drink. Only one person was ahead of me, another ordered after, and no one was ordering through drive through. I get mobile orders can slow things down, but even people who ordered prior to getting in their car had to wait. read more

This is one of my least favorite Starbucks locations. I only stop there on Saturday mornings when I work at my company's headquarters and usually get there around 8:00, meaning they have been open for three hours already but the baristas are always scrambling around like I arrived the second they unlock the doors. When I come into the store, the barista taking my order is always doing multiple other things, which I understand can be necessary during a morning shift at a coffee shop, but their attention is not focused on my order and my drink is always written up incorrectly. When I go through the drive thru, I am always waiting at least 10 minutes even when I am only one of two cars in line. There is one woman who works there that is always very short with her answers and comes off as rude and like she has better things to be doing. read more

I spent my entire lunch break waiting for an unsweetened black ice tea. .... it's been almost 20 minutes and nothing still. Everyone inside is watching car after car through the drive through get served over clients waiting in the store. If you're concerned about your drive through times you should reconsider.
