I asked for a small cappuccino, they gave me a large. The girl taking my order sounded half asleep, meaning she was putting no effort in her job and I could hardly hear her. I decided it was better not to ask her to repeat herself. When I pulled up, the smirk on her face made me think they did something to my order. My coffee did not taste like it was made with espresso, but regular coffee. This was my first and it will be my last time coming to Scooter's on Bristol Rd. Tim Horton's next door makes real coffee and their staff are trained to be professional. They goof around a little bit. They're kids. It's still a much better place for coffee. Scooters latest Metro Detroit Coffee shop is located in Commerce (yay) in the Defy/Powerhouse parking lot on Union late Rd. This coffee shop is part of a national franchise chain based out of Nebraska that has been around 20 years and has finally reached metro Detroit where the Commerce store is the second one to open in our state following the recent opening of the Brighton store. The business model of this chain is basically a Barista quality drink tied to a drive through operation only. During my first visit to this Scooters I ordered a Cafe Latte. My latte was well made and tasty and service time was something on the order of 3 minutes from time of order to getting my drink which is in line with walking into Starbucks and ordering one of their drinks but without the hassle of walking in! Very impressive performance for a quality made to order coffee operation. Relative to price, prices are in line with other barista style operations and I would say commensurate with a Starbucks which is to be expected for a quality coffee drink like this. Overall this is definately a place to check out especially if you are in a hurry and want a high quality coffee drink without the hassle of leaving your car especially during the winter months or being on a work conference call! I will definately be returning in the near future as I have become a fan of this chain. read more

A coffee place that can't get their coffee right but everything else! First time trying out Scooter's, ordered strawberry and mango smoothies, an egg and cheddar biscuit, and a black coffee. Friendly and knowledgeable customer associates, a nice change from Starbucks, who helped to order everything right. Most of our beverages and food tasted good except for the coffee. It was way watered down. We brought it to their attention and they replaced it. But again the coffee was watered down. What kinda coffee place offers bad coffee?!! They have a lot of great drink options. It seems like almost everything is offered in hot, iced, and frozen. They also have a lot of dairy alternatives which is awesome. I would like to preface the review by saying I am open to giving this place another chance. The individuals working here seemed pleasant, helpful, answered all of our questions, and made the three drinks fairly quickly. So I have no complaints about the servers. On the other hand, if you look at the pictures, one smoothy is clearly not filled up all the way, and that was before we tried it. You can also see the actual cold brew looks nothing like the picture on the drive-thru. While I understand "food artists" make those pictures, Starbucks cold brews typically look like the pictures. Here the picture looks like a lot of cream, but mine had a very small amount on top. They told me I could flavor the cream, so I ordered butternut toffee cream and a cold brew with light ice. I got some very weak, very watery unsweetened coffee with a lot of ice and a tiny amount of cream with no flavor at all. I got two smoothies, one peach and one strawberry banana. The peach one tasted pretty good. I did not try the other was but was told it was not as good as McDonald's. The order was actually very pricey for what I got. Knowing that McDonald's actually makes a great ice coffee and good smoothies for less than half the price of what I spent makes me very disappointed. It was not something to recommend. But, I would still be opened to seeing if there is something else I might like better. read more

It's not bad. Normally would never find myself on this particular route, but was going from one place to another keeping an eye out for breakfast and a drink. Trying something new and non-chain is always fun. Spicy sausage breakfast burrito was decent, but admittedly I pre-judged it based on it being served still in the microwave sleeve. Wasn't necessarily expecting made to order, and I'm sure they save on materials by not wrapping it in new paper...but alas. Also had a black iced coffee which I found solid and respectable. I wouldn't make a special trip to come to Scooter's or anything but it's a good option if I find myself in the area again. read more

Tried this coffee stop when I was on my way to see the train museum up in Commerce. The service was fast as it's only a drive through... but the dirty chai I ordered was super watered down. I didn't even finish it. It wasn't warming. It didn't even have the spice a chai should have. I'll come back to try the coffee... but my first experience here was rather disappointing. read more

Expensive - very expensive! Scooter's came to Lancaster Ohio and it meant nothing to me, I don't drink coffee, and my wife drinks Tim Horton's. Then my wife noticed they serve breakfast burritos, which I do like. We decided to give Scooter's a try. We ordered a spicey sausage, a bacon burrito, a pastry, small peach smoothie and a cappuccino for our daughter - $24. The burritos were tiny and the cappuccino, I'm told, was not as good as Tim Horton's. The peach smoothie had a weird, chemical aftertaste that made it inedible. Worst of all, the burritos were a gooey mess that oozed out of the tortillas. My wife took one bite of the bacon burrito, gagged and tossed it. I braved the congealed mess and was worried I'd get sick. It was a strange consistency, too gooey, almost like the eggs were over easy instead of scrambled and mixed with cream cheese? The only positive thing about the whole experience is that Scooter's uses La Victoria salsa, wow, that was awesome. Even though, they charged us for extra salsa. read more

The coffee was decent but the breakfast options are terrible especially for the price. I ordered a breakfast bagel this morning and it was $5.25. When I got the bag I noticed it felt awfully light. The sandwich was on like a smaller mini bagel. Something you'd expect to pay two dollars for.. This was my second experience after finding a similar experience with their breakfast burrito , which was very small for the money. Is probably will not be back. read more

I've watched this location's construction for a long time and I heard it was opening soon. A friend went and really enjoyed their coffee so I decided to give it a try. The drive through line was not at all busy and got right up to the ordering kiosk. Since it was my first time there I had a few questions and they were more then willing to answer without feeling rushed. I ordered two of the iced coffees (turtle flavor) and two sandwiches. They didn't give me a total until I pulled up to the window and I have to say I was taken a bit back when she said $23. I paid then was handed my purchase, the service was quick! First off the iced coffee was amazing. I didn't have time to take pictures bc I was driving but I was able to enjoy the turtle iced coffee. I'm not a huge sweet coffee person, most of the time it is overly sweet and lacks coffee flavor. This was the perfect amount of sweetness and a delicious espresso flavor. So pleased. The bagel sandwich was just ok, nothing special and will probably not eat there again but I will definitely return to try different coffee flavors. I want to add an update: I went back to scooters a second time, I actually ordered the exact same thing and was so looking forward to that deliciousness. Well not so surprised that it was NOTHING like my first drink order. The service was very fast again and very nice people working but my drink was disgusting. I'm not exaggerating, it tasted like chocolate water. Strong Hershey's chocolate in water. I couldn't even drink it. $6 for a cup of garbage. Went back for a second time, ordered the spicy breakfast burrito. It was mushy and seemed right out of the microwave and still in a plastic wrap. The eggs were low quality, and the cheese was a runny liquid, not good. Would not recommend the burrito. Staff was friendly and kind! Birthday cake bite was tasty. read more
