Visited on a Tuesday morning around 9am. I went inside to order with my husband and 4 and 3 year old. It took a few minutes for someone to wait on me but then the woman was kind and efficient. We did plan to sit inside but I was surprised by how small it was. There were maybe 4 tables. We sat outside, it was shaded but next to a very busy road so it was super loud. There were also a lot of cigarette butts on the ground. Our drinks and banana bread were good, normal Starbucks quality. My 4/5 rating is for the facilities. I've been looking for places to work remotely in Smyrna and this Starbucks location did the job. I like that I can order ahead using the app -- my items were ready as soon as I arrived and found a spot to work from. I got a Chai latte and an egg/pesto sandwich. Both were tasty and I finished them too quickly I spent about 3 hours working here on a Monday morning and I was comfortable doing that. The staff were friendly there were other folks working on laptops or having business meeting me inside. It was a good atmosphere to get work done with noise canceling headphones on. The drive through line is ALWAYS packed here so I was worried about service but had not issues. And the wifi works. I'd come back. read more

Visited October 12, 2024. The service was extremely slow, but the drink was great. I ordered ahead at 5:44 PM, and the app said it would be ready in 10 minutes. When I arrived at 5:57 PM, there was a long line that wasn't moving. Although I was notified that my drink was ready, I still waited another 5 minutes at the pickup window before finally given my order at 6:07 PM. This location is conveniently close to my home, but the drinks are often inconsistent, and the service is always slow. There are customer restrooms, decent enough parking and tables. Some may wonder why not go locally, but all the local shops stop operating by 2-4 PM. read more

As a former lover of this place, they need to retrain and redirect their business model to what it used to be. It is absolutely becoming a train wreck and hopefully with so many locations being opened they allocate more resources into the ones staying to get back to that early to mid 2000s feel. Do not place mobile orders at this location. They regularly close the building and put a paper sign up on the door that they're closed then you arrive and have to wait in the incredibly long drive thru line to get your mobile order. They will not cancel/refund your order. They do not put any messaging in the app that they are not accepting mobile orders at this time. When I asked the barista about it she said it's not possible despite the fact that many Starbucks do this when they are too busy to accept mobile orders. I've seen it in the app multiple times. Last time I was here I ordered a drink with light ice and I swear they put extra ice in it. They don't bother to greet you or make eye contact on the rare occasion they are open. Had no idea this store was so badly rated. Don't frequent Starbucks very often, but I had a gift card to burn. Stood in line. Placed my order for a small black coffee and cinnamon coffee cake. Waited ten minutes and my stale coffee cake was ready. But no black coffee. Was just getting ready to ask about my black coffee when they called out my name I stepped up to the counter and they handed me my coffee. Got a nice table outside, set up my laptop, took a bite of the stale coffee cake. Then a sip of something that was NOT a black coffee. By then, I'm just over it. Packed up my laptop and went inside with the rogue coffee. A clerk came over with an order, and I got his attention and said hey I ordered a black coffee and that's not what this is, thinking they'd want to know that they had given someone else the wrong coffee. But no. When I repeated that all I had ordered was a black coffee, he said "well you should have gotten that at the front counter." That's what I had expected, but they were very busy and the cashier just ignored me after I placed my order, so after a while, I stood in line at the counter and waited for my name to be called. read more

Avoid this location unless you enjoy being ignored. I started in the drive thru lane which was taking forever. I ended up ordering online and then when I was able to get out of the lane, I decided to walk in. I didn't see my order which I figured would be ready by that point so I went to the cashier area. I had two people walk by and say they'd be right with me. One of the managers I think, moved from behind the counter and went and sat to do work on a laptop. Another employee going on break asked the others if I'd been helped. I said, nope & the one girl behind the counter stopped looked at me stopped wiping the counter...and went back to making drinks. Its like there are two different stores here. The morning crew is friendly and efficient, although swamped with business. But the order is always right and they fly around like you expect. Go in the afternoon, the little "manager" walks around doing nothing. The staff moves like snails, and its 50/50 whether your coffee comes as ordered (25 minutes later). My last visit there were just 3 cars in line at the drive-thru. Great! A chance for a quick stop mid-afternoon. 14 minutes later I ducked out of the drive-thru and walked in. Ummm. No line here at all. 2 people waiting for their orders. Must have have been the driver trying to buy a franchise at the drive-thru. A breeze now right? I left 25 minutes later with a chalky, poorly made specialty coffee that the obviously new guy asked for help with on every step. The manager ignored his pleas, leaving the other "kids" to give him partial instructions and frustrate him nearly to tears. All while the the three customers inside watched the chaos behind the counter. Poor management to say the least. Kudos to the morning crew. Not sure if I am able to post with no stars so I give this Starbucks a single. Placed our typical order which consists of standard items no triple cafe decaf non fat almond type items. Simple tall mocha (hot), grande mocha and sweet cream cold brew. and wanted one of the protein packs. Ok they didn't have any protein packs So we opted for pumpkin bread. AFTER paying and getting both coffees we get informed they don't have that either so we have to refund the food. Now waiting for cold brew. We see it's poured and waiting for cream. After watching 3 more customers receive orders and the cold brew is sitting we asked if we could just get our last coffee. Very rudely the barista ( Sarah?) tells us they have many orders that need flavored cream and they are working on it. So needless to say this thanks as one of the WORST managed and run Starbucks I have every visited. They should be embarrassed. And respectfully if you chose to be employed there you should figure out how to manage the stress that goes along with it. read more

Went to this Starbucks and waited in the DR be through for 30 minutes. No one took our order, ye yelled into it, beeped no one answered. We figured it must not have been working. We got to the window and the young girl with the blue hair said she couldn't take out order at the window, she was alone. The doors were even locked where you couldn't go inside. The line was so long in front of us and in back of us. I was so upset. I was more upset that this young girl was ALONE! SHAME ON THE MANAGEMENT, SUPERVISOR AND GM! How do you allow that? If you're trying to choose a Starbucks in the area... CHOOSE THIS ONE!!!! The staff is amazing!!! I'm from California, so this was a stop on my way and he made me feel right at home. Graham helped me at the front register- and nothing but a smile on his face. Not only that, but this is a drive thru and I've never seen a drive thru that has mastered both cafe and drive times. I usually see the drive thru prioritized and the cafe has to wait longer but my drink came out quickly, and correct! WORST LOCATION I have ever been to! I live in Smyrna and been going there on and off for quite a while now. Some of the baristas there have an attitude!! Last time I went there, I waited for over 30 minutes waiting for my drink only to find out they left it on the machine. When I asked her and pointed out that it has been left on the machine, she grabbed it and handed it to me. Of course, it was melted, and it didn't taste right. I asked for a new one and guess what?? She gave me an attitude and made me a mocha instead of caramel which is NOT what I asked for. I left already at that point. Never going BACK!!! So... I do a mobile order because the line is out the building and I'm inside for 20 min plus to only get told the app wasn't working. I reorder my drink again and they are out of coconut milk so I'm not difficult give almond. While I'm waiting I observed that this may be the dirtiest Starbucks in the USA. The worker are playing in their hair and touching things without washing hands. There is liquid and powder all over the place and to top it off she brings me a drink that looks like pigeon vomit and says sorry for the wait... see picture. My drink was made by the cashier who had been handling cash and cards all day and she did not think about washing her hands. No thanks if I'm going to get sick it will be from some cute little kid unconsciously coughing on me. I try to avoid getting listeria, salmonella and ebola I heard they hurt.
