Slow service and not a very friendly place, pretty disappointed since the other location in Sioux City is pretty fast and nice to their customers. It's a hit or missed with how they make your drinks, sometime they would replace classic syrup to caramel? probably because they're out and don't want to get a new one. Overall positive experience. We were traveling through and found this location from the app. We pulled in with our travel trailer and had plenty of room to park. We ordered from the app in the parking lot and was able to pick up about 10 min later inside. It worked great for potty stops and keeping someone in the car for the pups. Employees were not busy when entering but didn't go out of their way to be friendly except when picking up at the counter, they didn't interact. That's the only reason not 5 stars. We are used to being greeted upon entering and feeling welcomed especially when it's slow. Overall, very positive experience and would definitely return. Whenever I travel through Sioux City I try to stop here for a quick burst of energy on the road. It seems like the drive-through is always lined with cars. I guess that's a good sign. I typically go inside to order and my beverages are ready rather quickly. And every time I do go in the staff is very courteous and professional. read more

My husband went to get a drink I requested, which he does not like, Starbucks, so I appreciated that he did this. I had ordered the drink, and he brought it to my office. It was not even close to the drink I requested. They gave him the wrong drink, and what they gave him was supposed to have lemonade in it, but it did not, and it was watered down. Never been in a Starbucks where I felt like no one cared...until today. Long line of cars at the drive-through & a packed house inside, but the crew of four just plodded along at very low speed, as if asleep. Nary a smile, no talking, no engaging the customers. It was unexpected & jarring. And then I waited for ten minutes for a plain coffee (stood there in full view of everyone near the register) and no one had the thought, "Oh this guy has been here for a long time--what's he waiting for?" Finally got their attention again, and was soon handed my coffee--with no apology, concern for my wait, or anything. As I said--super unusual Starbucks experience. I love this Starbucks. It's the one I frequent the most because it just happens to be in an area that I 'use' a lot. I've only been inside once. (I always use the drive-thru.) This location is super busy most of the time, but I get lucky every so often and can squeeze right in. They aren't the fastest Starbucks, but I have always had my drinks made perfectly so I'll take the wait because I know I'm getting the quality. Every single employee I've ever experienced has been great. I frequently get compliments and they talk to me like I'm more of a friend than a customer. Maybe that's the way they're trained, but I love it. Plus this place is a Pokestop! I've recently fallen in love with the açaí refresher. They even put actual berries in the drink. It's great. Nice outdoor seating area as well. I've never tried any of the food other than a blueberry muffin once and it was warm and delish. Don't forget to take a SnapChat of your beverage! read more

This Starbucks is always so busy but I think it's because it's that good. Thankfully we are able to order ahead on the app and pick up so we can avoid the lines. Plenty of baristas there today. They were friendly and prepared my order quickly. There were several cute seating areas for guests. Great modern Starbucks, off the highway around SC. This is the perfect stop for a brew, and or to use the internet while on the road! I have a Soy Coffee Frap this time around and it was great! The staff was nice too. I have been here before and both times, the line moves fast, the bathrooms are clean, and the staff was great! They also have a great patio for hanging out on. Service would be a minus 10 if that was an option. We ordered at 10:54 am. Two hot coffee drinks plus a ham and cheese croissant. 10 min later the croissant was ready. We ate it without our coffee. It was fine. 15 min after that (25 total from ordering) we still did not have our coffee. However, I counted the drive-thru lane -which was very long --had gone through at least 20 cars. The kid making drinks left the barista area and went to take orders from new customers. I asked about our drinks. Manager said " we are very busy". I asked why drive thru is moving steady. She said "that takes priority". I asked why and the employees shrugged their shoulders. Shortly after that I got my drink. Then someone else that came in much later got theirs. I asked about my second coffee. The answer was "That was an iced drink" Sooooo...apparently iced drinks and/or drive thru orders take priority over in store customers! I suggested that should be posted and, if it is going to take 30 min to get a coffee, customers should be advised before they pay! Someone on a work break or a deadline needs to be aware. We are driving to MN and certainly did not want to extend our drive by nearly an hour! Never once an apology. One employee said "the other Starbucks in the area probably aren't as long of a wait. We are very busy and have a plumbing issue". I've been waiting 30 minutes...i already paid...do you really think I am going to drive to a different location??? It was 11:30 am when we got our second coffee....more than 30 minutes. Completely unacceptable. I won't be back. There are a bunch of other coffee shops close by the Lakeport exit. A nice Sbux in the middle of a newish outdoor mall area. It was busy here on a Sunday afternoon. I was lucky enough to get there when there was no line. Staff were nice and whipped up my order in a flash--a basic coffee and a spinach and feta wrap. I'm learning to avoid the food at all Starbucks in general. While the samples in the glass cases always look great, the result is seldom better than a microwaved sandwich or wrap, etc. Still, the food is good in a pinch. During my visit, there were a ton of flies inside. Kinda gross, but it was high summer and I understand how sometimes it can't be helped. The staff were great. I went to Starbucks tonight in Sioux City, and I asked for a pink drink and they said "we are out" when they definitely weren't out of it and my friend saw more strawberry açaí and the strawberry part and coconut milk, this has happened multiple times and I never know if they will have it, they were not friendly at all and they didn't want to even make us a frappe. Don't go here later than 7:30 pm, your open till 8 for a reason!!!! Bad bad service tonight. This Starbucks has been extremely busy every time I've been and I do not mind waiting my turn, however, they do not sit the mobile orders out where one can simply pick it up and go. It sits behind the counter melting whilst no one asks if you're waiting on an order. They need a better system. I travel a lot and most of the other Starbucks sit the drinks on a rack at the end of the counter. I thought the whole point of mobile ordering is to save time, which is not the case here. read more

One star because zero is not an option. Hate to do it because there are some really nice people here...but this is by far the worst store I've ever been to.. or tried to go to. They are closed more than they are open(it seems). Like right now, they've been closed for two or more days and are closed indefinitely. Half of the time they are open, they either open late or close early. Drinks take an insane amount of time to come out because they can't keep staff. The mobile app constantly says they are out of EVERYTHING so you have to go in to order. Or choose the drive through which backs up all the way to the Main Street, because they're so slow. Drinks are very inconsistent. They don't even read the customizations or just don't care what they say. If you ask for extra ice, it comes with like 4 ice cubes. Want whole milk? Nope, just watch them grab the warm jug of 2% on the counter because it's closer and been sitting out all day. I don't know the manager and hate to leave something like this, but it is absolutely a worthless store. People waste their precious 10 extra minutes before work in the morning to stop by and grab a hot coffee and it's freaking closed. ALL THE TIME. Terrible. Awful. Ridiculous. Thought about leaving a review so many times but held off for over two years and finally I've decided to switch to a different coffee shop. Don't give this place your business. I've seen this Starbucks in a lot of controversy reviews so I thout I'd stop and just grab a quick sandwich and ice coffee and see for myself . there were a few people there but not many . I did get my order pretty promptly like 5 min max but I will say this the sandwich was dry and the girl didn't look to pleased when I had to use my two different gift cards to cover the bill ..it was like she didn't want to bother using my first gift card to clear the remaining $3.00off that card so it wasn't to just go to waste ..so they defentally need some new customer service skills. But I thout to myself if I woulda just paid credit card it woulda gone faster .and she wouldn't have looked so distraut.. But come on that's your job. Anyway it wasn't that bad and coffee was good. Apparently they're understaffed tonight, so one of the girls snaps that they cant help the people in the lobby, that she just can't have anyone else in the lobby and needs to lock it so we have to go around to the drive-thru. When politely asked if she could at least help the couple of people that were already standing in line and have been for several minutes, she's snapped "nope they just keep coming and you need to go." The staff is very friendly and appears to have increased their morning staff. I have never had a bad experience with this location. Personal experience: dropped a venti coffee on the floor on my way out of the lobby; the barista was very nice and replaced my coffee (although I tried to pay); the gentleman who cleaned up my mess was very polite in lieu of the extra work that morning.
