I've been going to the Shawnee Starbucks for years, and I highly recommend it. If you're traveling on I-40, this is a great Starbucks to stop at. I've visited many Starbucks locations on road trips along the East and West Coasts and everywhere in between, and Shawnee's Starbucks is awesome. Their coffee is always great, the service is fast, and the drinks are delicious. The staff is always sweet, kind, and accommodating to any requests I have for my coffee. They consistently make the drinks perfectly, but on the rare occasions when something is wrong, they fix it without any problem. The store is always clean and cozy as well. read more

Half the time they don't get the order right. Tried to have faith that maybe they were trading post Covid employees. Even after they kicked an officer out of the Starbucks because she had a gun on her hip. Do you think the boycott would've taught them to keep their words and policies. However they do not. They've had a sign on their door all week saying that they are now open till 9 PM....So I go to Starbucks and they're closed at 8:30, I knock on the door, the employees see me and are snickering and laughing.... the manager says they've always closed at 8:30 very rudely...I will no longer spend my harder and money in a post Covid horrible economy on their coffee. Thankfully Shawnee is blessed with local coffee shops to get a great coffee and great service. I am not sure who did the set up for the store, but patrons can't park and plan on leaving if there is a line for the drive through. Poor design. read more

I don't do reviews!!! I had to for the service I received today at Starbucks, Shawnee location by Nancy!! I have a family member in the hospital and I just drove 18 hrs straight and need a pick me up! Unfortunately I went out on a limb and ordered something different. Hardly ever stop at Starbucks but needed some Caffeine for the drive ordered a venti with 4 shots, no whip & extra hot. Place was busy took 14 min to get order. Got order got back on freeway took a sip and found the drink was not extra hot, with whip and did not even have one extra shot. I would have been better off throwing my money out the window when I drove by the freeway and gotten to my destination 20 minutes earlier. This is a busy location! The cleanliness of the restrooms was meh. Wasnt the worst, but not the best either. The drinks and food was the same decent quality of any mainstream starbucks, and the staff was fun and friendly. The acoustics in this particular location are aweful! Treated very rudely on my Birthday of all days. Because I asked for my drink to be remade since it was made incorrectly in the first place. The bizarre thing is I don't want to ask for a remake. I would 100% like it to be made correctly the first time. Special shout out the the person who treated me terribly. Kate the shift leader! Thank you Katie the shift leader for being so rude to me and passively aggressively suggesting to change the way I orders since "if you don't want your ice cubes to be melted then order sooner". Kick-a-dook? I kinda like saying the street name, as I'm a bit immature heh! Getting down to brass tacks, this is a great store, with an awesome location amongst the chain store greats. Easy on and off I-40, as we visited early morning going eastbound to TN and close to noon on the way back west to CA on a Sunday. Going really early, I do echo the sentiments of the Memphis reviewer here, that they have the appropriate staff on hand at the early crack-of-dawn opening, and they do their part to get the store up and running. I do get that they need to accomplish a bunch of tasks to get the store up to speed, so the perception of they being lackadaisical is a bit of a deception. Even at 5:37am CST they are quite friendly and engaging! And on the way back west, I happened to stop there, aware that it was approaching Sunday noon-time hour, dreading the crush of the church-going crowd. And surprisingly it was very mellow and easy, like a Sunday morning! Staff during the brunch time hours were just as pleasant and engaging like the early morning crew, and I had recognized a couple of them as the early morning starters! Items were in stock from the bakery case, and unfortunately none of the Refresher drinks were available to mobile order ahead; I forgot to ask if there was a stocking issue, but had already picked out another cold beverage. In summary, give this store a shot and use mobile ordering when you can; you'll be glad you tried! read more

The employees today were so nice and accommodating. I'm not a major Starbucks fan, but this is one I don't mind stopping at. First, all bathrooms are unisex. I love this! I've frequented this location regularly for the last 10 years. In the past year it has really gone down hill. It's often dirty, the drinks are poorly made (no consistency), the service is slow, and some of the workers are not friendly (they even argue with one another in front of customers, with one employee threatening to walk off the job). They also close their drive-thru when they are understaffed. The morning crew is better than the night crew, but I've had bad experiences at all times of the day. read more

The Shawnee Starbucks does a great job with getting their online orders done efficiently! However waiting in the drive through is always long. The other thing is the shots have been burned in 75% of my drinks and my drinks always have milk or cream to keep them from burning so i know it's not that. So for my coffee lovers, maybe try a local shop if you want good coffee. But if you're on the go, the online ordering is fast and you can walk right in and grab it from the counter. read more

Drove up at 5:15am yes that's early and they done open until 5:30 but the employee saw us. We parked waited patiently for them to open. Didn't go to door until 5:35 so they wouldn't feel rushed well...believe me they didn't feel rushed. Went in to order two grande pike and they hadn't even started the coffee yet! 5:45 we get our coffee. Very sad. Trash cans were still full from last night. She can't help how the place was left for her the next morning. We did get a good morning, bathroom was clean, and she brought our coffee to where we were sitting so that was nice and as we were leaving said Have a good day. I came here because it was the only Starbucks I've seen for the last 200 miles and the drive threw was full so I came inside to order because I thought it would have been faster. I had a terrible experience at this Starbucks this past Thursday. We came in and the place was not super busy, but obviously understaffed. We tried to be understanding and patient (with lots of pleases, thank-yous, and smiles) but the service was awful and the server that helped us was extremely rude. Our drinks were not made accurately and they took a long time to serve us. We tried to thank our servers three times before we left with our drinks that were made incorrectly and not a single smile or you're welcome was offered on return. i purchased a pkg of starbucks gift cards (there were 2 in the package together) from Walmart. i used one of the gift cards without any problem. went to use the 2nd one and said it was inactive and not paid for. This was with the starbucks rep. i explained to him they were in a package and scanned together. he told me i need to contact walmart because it was their fault. i talked to walmart and they said they can't take refund me for the just one gift card since 2 gift cards came in a package. and said it was starbucks fault actually....DUTCH BROS! This location was the most repulsively disgusting environment for food I have seen in a long time. The employees are cold and rude. When pointing out they got a drink wrong, they argued about it. Oh my gosh I wish I had my camera to take pictures of this place. In the restroom they had taken a water bottle and poured soap in it and written hand soap with a marker. The entire store was DISGUSTING!! Drawers open, napkins all out, no straws, out of vanilla syrup, trash everywhere all over the floor too, syrups splattered, boxes of milk and juice left out, and the topper was the guy making the coffee who was mumbling under his breath about wanting to go home, he was standing around with his finger up his butt, and just hates his job. If I could give 0 stars I would. This place is hard to describe how bad it was. Whoever owns this place might want to get this place under control or the health department should come in. read more

2 months ago I went to Starbucks and ordered and Mango Dragonfruit Refresher and when I got the drink there was no dragonfruit and it overall wasn't what I wanted. They didn't even tell that there was no dragonfruit or some sort of "food dye" they put in it. I went today and got a Mixed Mango Dragonfruit Lemonade with Peach. And there was no dragonfruit in in it AGAIN. Horrible customer service, I would not recommend. read more

Their premade bottles of the salted caramel mochas taste like someone ate a handful of peanuts and farted it's disgusting.

I go to the college here in town, where we have Starbucks but we can't use gift cards and there is no blonde espresso. Let me just say, I'd much rather pay at school than go to this Starbucks. They've gotten my order correct twice and I've gone every Wednesday since mid-February. They are generally pretty busy but I don't ask for anything fancy as my drink. Iced blonde americano. Nothing special, but it's still wrong frequently. I'll continue to go back simply because it's routine at this point but I typically go in to ensure I get the correct drink. Its a Starbucks...similar to the countless Starbucks I've been to everywhere from New York City to Mexico City. Fortunately and unfortunately there is a ubiquitous Starbucks location almost everywhere now. I try to patronize the local coffee shops when possible, but there is a dearth of quality (of pretty much anything) in the Shawnee area so I frequent this location. The staff is nice and prompt but sometimes (and this pertains to all Starbucks location) they can be cloyingly annoying and over the top trying to be witty or funny while ordering when all I want is my goddamn green tea! But, this location isn't that bad so when in need of a fix it does in a pinch. read more
