Stopped here on our trip across Washington. We ordered three different coffees (2 of 3 with added shots). We paid at the window and after a while we were asked to pull forward to the parking lot to await our order. After fifteen minutes of waiting and two other vehicles get their orders and several others leaving to shop with orders, ours finally arrived and we jumped back on the interstate only to notice that no coffee was added to ANY of our drinks. Flavorings, milk and ice were there but ZERO coffee or added shots. I called the location twice after discovering but the phone just rang until finally disconnecting both times. This Starbucks sucks. First you walk in and it smells like literal armpit. Then I wait in line which I'm fine with, but the person in front of me is a Starbucks employee and they're just sitting there chatting with the employee taking orders. Once I finally got up there, I ordered a sandwich, they proceed to tell me the oven isn't in service and they don't know how long it will be. Total waste of time and super poor service. I made a to go order from the road and my daughter and I ran in to use the bathroom and grab our order and the baristas offered us a bag since it makes a nice trash bag for the road and offered us some waters for the road - just so thoughtful and kind. Last year was one of the WORST I-90 road fires ever. All...and I do mean all of the traffic west bound was stopped and going into Ritzville. There were so many people going into this town it overloaded the Wifi and towers that supplied internet for the town. As a result, internet was shut down or very slow. I mean dial up slow. Parking lots quickly filled up and people started parking on shoulders and in people's fields. The local news channel teams were seen filming and people started going into stores for restrooms and food. It was my daughter's birthday and we had already called the school (started next day) and work and told them we were not going to make it. Booked our hotel room back east and told them we were coming back for one night because of the fire. Whew! We rolled into Starbucks ready to use our birthday stars online 'cause that means free drinks-right?! Wrong. No internet. These ladies saw the disappointment in my daughter's face, understood the situation and gave her the free birthday drink. I was fully ready to pay with cash but these ladies showed super kindness to my daughter on her birthday. These ladies were the BEST! My daughter was already down because of the whole situation but when this happened, she brightened up a lot. It's been an entire year since this happened. I still remember the kindness shown by the hardworking ladies in the place. I will never forget. I'm just upset that I can't give more stars for the REAL stars of this place. read more

Always love starbucks. Living in Moses Lake we always stop at this starbucks on the way to Spokane. Starbucks is always really good. Except this location! If you are between Spokane and Moses Lake on I-90, this is the only Starbucks as well as being one of the only coffee shops on the route. The baristas here are efficient and always get my drink right, which is important if you use the drive through and are in a hurry to continue driving on the interstate. There is adequate parking and room to sit and enjoy your coffee if you are not in a rush. Easy on and off the freeway whether you are driving on I-90 or highway 395. I normally wouldn't review a chain like Starbucks but this place really left an impression on me that I thought a five star review was definitely worthy! I was so impressed by the cleanliness, the professionalism of the staff, and the overall happy disposition everyone seemed to have despite working during a pandemic and also having to wear u comfortable face masks. Best Starbucks ever. Sorry I don't know names (no name tags) but purple hair girl and long beard guy had the greatest hospitality! They were out of blonde roast so they made me a pour over which was delicious. They helped me get my coffee/cream ratio just right and while I waited for it to brew they made a breakfast sample and me and my buddy ended up getting a snack too! When you are desperate for your hit of Starbucks, it is here in Ritzville. I wouldn't go out of my way to drive here just for the coffee experience; this is more like a pit-stop from Point A to Point B, particularly if you are heading south into the land of nothingness or you've come from the land of nothingness and still have an hour until civilization (Spokane). I believe most of the customers here are just passing through. It's a busy place, particularly when the school buses pull up from various high schools that are on the road. If you see a yellow bus, run quickly into the store and get your order in first (or use the new order ahead on the app). Pro-tip: Taste your drink before leaving in case it is missing an ingredient, like the espresso. read more

Feel bad for the new guy working the register this AM on Sunday - lots of travelers coming through and needing caffeine. He definitely felt my wrath as there was issues with the order processing, he held onto my coffee until I asked where it was (5-8mins waiting for a drip coffee) - I specifically said heavy whipping cream in my order (3 times) and on I-90 realizing after the first sip it's half/half and charged for half/half. I called and requested a refund to no avail - I only have the option to detour and stop at another starbucks along the way and have my drink remade. This Starbucks is good and accommodating, I stop in Ritzville both ways on my trips. Coffee in the AM and Zips in the PM. There is a very good shift lead who is friendly, clear, and willing to do what it takes to make the order right. They attempted to do that before I left (i requested for tabs of butter, they weren't in the coffee and given to me on the side, since they had to ring me up again I just told him to leave it out) The lesson here is - don't f*** with people's coffee in the AM. Make it fast, make it right. Especially being on I90 understand people have somewhere they gotta be. The staff taking my order was so kind. When I got my drink, it was missing whip cream. They kindly added it. Two minutes later I knocked my drink over and spilled it everywhere on the floor. Ive stopped here a few times when traveling. It is conveniently located next to a gas station. I was Greeted when I walked in. A genuine hello not like in they are being forced to greet you manner. The store was clean. I found all the staff to be friendly from the man who took my drink orders to the woman who remade my drink after I spilled it. Such good service. I visited this restaurant in Ritzville while traveling and I don't think I've ever seen more flies in a restaurant. They were everywhere. I've only drove thru this Starbucks, never went inside. The staff here is chattier (and more friendly) than a lot of the Starbucks I've stopped at. Things take a little longer, but the kind staff makes up for it. I stop here on my way from Spokane to Soap lake pretty frequently, the drinks are consistent to Starbucks quality and they always fill my reusable Water Bottle for me. My barista today was Daniel and he was particularly nice, he apologized for having to repeat my order back to me (mango black tea with extra extra ice) and explained that he was still training. This Starbucks is an oasis on drives from the lush Willamette Valley, through the armpit of the PNW, to the Garden City (Missoula). It's about a perfect stop in both directions--especially if you're trying to avoid the craziness that is the tri-cities (I'm a Biggs/Ritzville/Spokane/St. Regis person, myself). There are very few snacks here, which isn't a problem for me. I think Starbuck may be many things, but a culinary genius is not one of them. On the plus side, you can expect standard Starbucks service, decent music (i.e. CDs for sale), and clean bathrooms. So I say, what's not to love? read more

I don't often review Starbuck's, even though they are way, way inconsistent from one location to the next. I kind of view them like a fast food place; how great (or awful) is it really going to be, so what's the point? But this was one of the most bizarre Starbucks that I've been to, and I've been to some in other countries, so that's quite a distinction. First, the good stuff: It's reasonably convenient to and from the freeway, it has ample parking and is clean and well lit. The coffee, when I finally got it, was good. The bad or bizarre comes, unfortunately, because they seemed like nice people, from the staff. The young lady at the register asked my drink and I said; triple, hazelnut, grande latte and she said:okay. Then she asked me: grande, right? and then winked at me, which kind of freaked me out. Who under the age of 75 winks? I confirmed that I had said grande. Then she asked me: hazelnut, right? and winked at me again. While the winking was kind of freaky, but the fact she kept asking me about my order was aggravating me. If she didn't get it, why answer in the affirmative after I gave it to her and just ask me to repeat the whole thing over rather than bit by winking bit? Finally, the winking and questioning desisted, I paid for my drink and waited and waited and waited to get it. Two older (and loud) ladies were running the drive-up window and the espresso machine. They were women that had traveled more than a few hard miles down this road we call life and weren't shy about giving commentary about just about anything, but mainly about what was occurring right there and then. This would have been good theater, if I didn't have many more miles to drive that evening. My drink took so long to get that I thought that my order was lost, but just as I was debating whether to ask the barrista, a wife in front of me leaned closer towards her husband and whispered: this is the slowest Starbucks ever and the kind of says it all. read more

They managed a huge line of people when I was there with complete calm and graciousness...even with annoying kidlets running around like monsters. Definitely stop in on your way. Perhaps because it is always a pit-stop for our family while driving between Seattle and Coeur d' Alene, we hit this SB a lot. It never disappoints. The staff is always great, never too long a wait, nice cheerful crew. For a small SB, these guys have a good selection. Breakfast sandwiches (a family favorite) are a hit. You may not live nearby, but for a quick stop on a long haul, this Starbucks is worth a stop. read more
