In my opinion, managers need to be actively involved in their stores to ensure things are running smoothly. You can't always rely on others to maintain your standards if you're not present to see what's happening firsthand. Having all hands on deck and paying attention to the customer experience is essential to running a successful business. When I stopped in to grab a couple of lattes, the young man working behind the register was not particularly welcoming. He made me feel as though I was inconveniencing him simply by placing an order. I had planned to purchase a few other items, including chocolate, but his demeanor made me want to grab my drinks and leave as quickly as possible. Prices are high in my opinion. Customer service matters. You can have excellent products, but if customers don't feel welcome, they may not want to return. That's something management should take seriously.
