I ordered a cappuccino and requested that it be ready at a particular time - and it was. Great music and environment at this location. Plenty of indoor/outdoor seating. Outdoor seating has a firepit option. Parking garage is not free but is modern and secure. Highly recommend this location and team - they are outstanding! read more

We're nearly the only ones in the store. Spent $30 on coffee, and they couldn't take 3 steps to our table to hand us our coffee. Instead they failed to tell us it was ready and it sat there till it was cold. They couldn't tell us if the pastries were fresh or not . They scoffed at us when we asked them to cut the cinnamon roll. (They were willing to warm it for us, so I give them credit for that) We asked them to wipe down the table but they couldn't be bothered. To be fair, they did mop the floor. I used to live in this area, and have moved south of this location. This is still on my daily commute to work. Despite passing three or four Starbucks, I love going to this one because of seeing the barista Tiffany, she greets you with such a big smile, and knows your name and drink order even though I have never introduced myself to her. I also don't come every day so I don't expect her to know my name, but she is that type of personable individual. Just a shout out for her and for her really ensuring that you are satisfied with your drink order and it's such a great way to start a day with a cuppa coffee from Starbucks and a morning greeting from Barista Tiffany! read more

This store, for being in Playa.. a rather nice area , is a hot mess. I walk in and the girl behind the counter is starring off into space and the other barista has to tell her to take my order. She must have been new because I asked if she could make a new drink hot and she directs me to a completely different drink with espresso. No worries I order it cold my fault for not double checking but she gives me the wrong size. I then proceeded to look for a seat with a plug and the only two plugs near tables are in use and the largest plugging seating area is not working. One of the workers tells me I should plug it in myself.. like I said hot mess. The only other plug is hidden near the trash so instead of getting into a work flow I have to watch my ipad charge since I need it for my next session. Next time I will be sure to stop at the many other Starbucks I passed instead of trying to work here again. Other highlights include a dirty floor and uncomfortable seats. No thanks. read more

Per company's policy, Veterans are eligible for a free tall coffee brew. This location did not honor that and had a really terrible attitude about it. The employee said "I have worked here for years and have never seen this deal." But it's the same every year? The Manager was no better and didn't offer a solution. UPDATE: a month later and the situation was not resolved by their District Manager who didn't contact me at all and then by their Operations Manager, who covered everything up and gaslit me. Apparently, I'm not the only one who has been mistreated here. This store is an embarrassment and should be shut down. read more

I have never felt so humiliated and disrespected by someone as I was by her just ruined my day. There are other options . You want to visit a place that is nice and friendly and really gives the barista feeling. If anyone from Corp is reading this you might get sued if this continues with more people like me for racism . Overall a good location with good staff but likely need some additional staffing to handle both the in-person rushes and mobile order demand. Location: in Runway at Playa Vista, near Whole Foods. Parking: mostly easy. They are right next to a large parking structure but the structure is usually pretty full and people seem to lose their intelligence when trying to park in there... Small amount of time limited free parking outside of structure but not much. Quality: mostly the beverages are well crafted, but quality does seem to suffer when the staff are in times of crunch due to a large in-store rush and/or mobile order inundation. Ask for a venti iced Hawaii which is made on the Clover Brewing System and cost $6.50. I've been ordering clovers for years and know where every clover in the city is. Katie who appeared to be the manager told me that they shut down the Clover a half hour before close to soak it with water. In all my years of getting clovers nearly daily no one has ever told me this and if they can't use the Clover then I should be offered a pour-over. This is so disappointing that I'm considering going to 7-Eleven at 4 coffee from now on to avoid the inconvenience. I work in the runway plaza and wanted to order with my friend. Waited over 30 minutes to get part of my order. Cashier was absolutely rude thank you for the horrible service Denay who wiped her name tag off that was lovely.
