I of course love the coffee, and the service is fine. this is about their hours of operation and location. these guys..they will just be closed out of nowhere. they are closed when others are open, like they are special or something. "banker hours" I like to say lol. lets just say I have never gone to burger king and found them closed for a holiday or for some "facility problem" but this seems to happen at Plattsburgh Starbucks. they had a theft awhile back, someone stole a register, stupid, with nothing in it. but it took over FIVE WEEKS before they got another one-and they kept the lobby close this whole time! and dear god, the location ..just horrible. they were not thinking when they got the place. its an accident hazard, just horrible set up and location honestly. the entrance is right at an intersection, and the drive thru entrance from Cornelia isnt accessible west bound. people wip in blindly only to find the drive thru line almost into the road. almost impossible to park. it reaches a critical mass at about 6 cars. this is common knowledge, not just my opinion. Ive seen 3 fender benders and one moderate collusion through the years. I figure eventually they will move to a better location but I have watched a few come and go and they havent moved. read more

Nice surprise location but most welcome one. We stopped by on our way from Canada. We thought that we would hit the location in a Duty Free on the Canadian side but that location closed at 6pm so no luck. The location was small but working hard and it was really welcome because driving 4 hours from Mont Tremblant in snow was really tiring and hitting Adirondacks into the night with more snow coming required some fuel. read more

I love this location. It's small and cozy but with everything offered at larger metropolitan SBs. What sets them apart from the many SBs I've frequented is the exceptional customer service. Everyone is knowledgable and efficient while being genuinely friendly and upbeat. No undue attitude here. Just uplifting friendly staff. It's such a breath of fresh air compared to other locations. I do have one issue though which is the only reason I'm not rating them 5 stars. They have a lovely tea selection. BUT...no lemon wedges and no honey. I know. SB is a coffee house and not a tea parlor. But if they offer a nice tea selection they should offer basic tea add-ons to compliment the product. read more

Starbuck's is a very nice place. I usually get a Frappuccino, 5 shots and, of course, whip cream. My granddaughter loves the cake pops and she tricks me into buying them! I have tried them and I think they are a waste of money, actually they ARE a waste!! They are pretty expensive though, because for( a Frappuccino and a cake pop) it is 16 BUCK'S!!! Being from NYC this is arguably the best Starbucks i've been to considering the fast and friendly service - along with the availability of empty seats. There's a nice authentic feel complimented by the leather couches, lamps and decor on the walls. This is definitely the place where you should get your coffee or in my case latte! read more

As of today, 8/21, this location is temporarily closed for remodeling. Doesn't show on Starbucks locator or app. Assume they'll probably reopen in a few days. Visit the licensed stores up the road in the Price Chopper or across the street in Target if you need a Starbucks fix. read more

What is there not to like here? Small town location here with a drive thru! That is something you won't find in major cities. How about that nice small town smile and attitude? Sure why not! It's a small location I went to after not being able to find a local coffee joint open. It's dark inside with little seating. The chai latte was disgusting and I would have gone back to return it were I not on a schedule. I had to ask for a protective sleeve for it, that should be rule #1. Although this is a chain coffee shop and you can find a Starbucks in every city nowadays, this Starbucks has a "hometown" feel. When I moved back to Plattsburgh after living in California and Texas I missed a good soy peppermint latte. Within a few months Plattsburgh got one! Everyone that works there is super friendly and they all know me by name and drink. It's a nice feeling to go in somewhere and have people know you. Plattsburgh doesn't have many options for good coffee and this Starbucks does a good job with filling that void. It is more expensive than Dunkin, but so much better. The store is always clean and well kept too! All the baristas are superb and very helpful! read more

I'm a big fan of Starbucks business model. You can argue for days on the quality of their coffee (yes, others do coffee better), but as an experience and service it's really top rate - EXCEPT HERE. I travel frequently. I've been to Starbucks in probably 50 cities and at least 4 different countries. This is the first time I have had a CONSISTENTLY POOR EXPERIENCE in a Starbucks location. Everyone has a bad day. Everyone. I don't leave a bad rating for a bad day. I have been to this Starbucks 4 times. 3 out of the 4 were bad experiences. Rude. Slow. Didn't listen. Got the order WRONG, and didn't apologize. It seems insular and clubby, and not welcoming of newcomers. I don't need a new best friend, but I do expect a level of service and courtesy that is definitely lacking at this location. I spend a good portion of the summer in this area. I will avoid Starbucks whilst I am there. There is another location in the Target store, but they don't open until 8 a.m. I go to Starbucks for the experience. If I don't get the experience there's no reason to go to Starbucks. The coffee drinks are good, but not good enough to overcome the icky feeling of this place. I'm not a "never" sort of person. I would probably go again in appropriate circumstances, but I am very unlikely to go even a block out of my way to purchase anything at this location. read more
