It's a well-known fact that it would take something giant and life changing to come between me and my love for Starbucks. I mean, I even scoped out open Stabuckses (Starbucki?) during Ramadan in Dubai to get my Triple Venti White Mocha fix. Starbucks in Manila is making it even harder to let go of my addiction.
This particular branch is located on the ground floor of my office building, which bodes well for me and need for a caffeine fix, but not so well for my waistline. But hey, you win some, you lose some, right? Or in this case, you win some, you gain some
But, I digress- the staff at this Starbucks is a group of the friendliest, happiest and most good natured people I've ever seen working for a coffee shop. For employees of "the big bad corporation", they make an effort to learn your name the first time you walk in through the door, and remember you the next time you're there!
The second time I walked in, my barista remembered me and suggested an alternative drink, reminding me that I promised I would try it the day prior. It's the little things - the details. Looking forward to your coffee run to not only get out of the office but also meet the people who work at your local coffee shop is important!
