Same owners, and I think a few carryover products, such as the creme brûlée. It's on the end of the large, somewhat sparse shopping center just past Publix -- the same one that contains Lawler's on the end closest to the road. Given the size and heretofore relative under-utilization of the shopping center, parking is ample. The inside is very pretty, well air-conditioned, quiet, and strikes me as a great place to work remotely, do some creative writing or drawing, or have a lowkey hangout with a friend, family member, or small group. My mom and I went on opening day after a walk at the nearby greenway. The menu has standard coffeeshop offerings and a decent selection of snacks and pastries, many of which have a slightly more upscale, almost Parisian feel to them. Reflecting the somewhat more upscale vibe, prices are perhaps a teeny bit high, but nothing you'd really raise a huge eyebrow at. They didn't have any specialty drinks the day we went, but there are a number of syrups to add to your drink and since visiting I've seen them advertise a few concoctions like a banana bread latte. Yum! I'll have to come back and try one. As it was, I got an iced latte with dark chocolate and salted caramel flavors. My mom got a bacon and egg puff pastry for us to snack on. Each item came out in a reasonable time frame. There's a small bar on one wall that has coffee add-ins and other things you might want like hot sauce packets, extra sugar, etc. It's a nice set-up! Both items were pretty good. I didn't get much salted caramel flavor in my drink but the chocolate was rich and chocolatey; I just wish it had been stirred together a bit more, as the top layer of the drink was very milky and the bottom was heavy on the chocolate. Some self-stirring helped but I think it ideally would've been mixed as it was first added to the drink. Still, the coffee itself was smooth and not at all bitter or acidic. A nice beverage! The puff pastry was tasty and very flaky. It DID come out super hot and had a certain sponginess that made me think it had hit the microwave before it was served. I still definitely think it was made in house based on the quality and flavor, but a little less time being reheated might've helped with the texture of the pastry and the scalding temp of the interior contents. That aside, it was loaded with bacon and overall quite enjoyable. I will certainly return in the future to try out more pastries and specialty drinks. Perhaps this could become a new writing hangout for me! :)

The employees are cute and super sweet and helpful, and the coffee is AMAZING ! I had the nitro with caramel soft top, and it might just be my favorite coffee ever, and I drink a lot of coffee! From the moment you pull up to the drive-thru or walk up to the window, you can immediately tell that their team is there to make your day a little brighter. The atmosphere is always friendly, upbeat, and full of good energy -- something that feels rare in most coffee chains these days. One of the biggest reasons I love Dutch Bros is because they actually listen to their customers. Unlike other places where you might get a defensive response or be told, "That's just how our coffee tastes," Dutch Bros takes feedback seriously. If something tastes off or isn't up to standard, they don't just shrug it off. They'll make it right -- whether that means remaking your drink, adjusting the recipe, or even taking feedback back to their team so it can be improved for everyone. That kind of dedication shows that they value every single person who comes through, not just as a customer, but as part of their community. It's refreshing to see a company that doesn't hide behind excuses. Dutch Bros genuinely cares about getting it right. They understand that coffee is a personal experience -- everyone's tastes are different, and they meet you where you're at. They make sure you leave happy, with a drink that's exactly what you wanted. Their drinks themselves are another reason they stand out. Unlike some other local or chain coffee spots that serve bitter, burnt-tasting coffee or drinks that feel rushed and inconsistent, Dutch Bros' coffee is smooth, flavorful, and made with care. You can taste the quality and attention that goes into every cup. Whether it's a cold brew, a Rebel, or one of their signature flavored coffees, each drink feels crafted -- not just thrown together. And then there's the staff. The baristas at Dutch Bros are consistently some of the friendliest people you'll meet. They go out of their way to make your day better -- remembering your order, offering new drink suggestions, and creating a vibe that's both genuine and fun. That kind of service makes all the difference, and it's what keeps me coming back again and again. At the end of the day, Dutch Bros has built something special. They've proven that great coffee isn't just about taste -- it's about care, consistency, and connection. They take pride in what they do, and they make sure every customer feels valued. That's why, in a world full of burnt coffee and bad attitudes, Dutch Bros stands out as one of the best coffee shops around. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts because Hampton Cove/ Owen's Cross Roads would be struggling without you!

We were able to talk about Mudslingers and why we personally feel like the business isn't good. With that, I really wanted to love Mudslinger's Coffee in Owens Cross Roads. I'd heard about them for a while and was hoping they'd bring something special to the local coffee scene -- but unfortunately, my experiences have been consistently disappointing. The biggest issue isn't just the coffee, it's the attitude behind it. Their espresso and drinks often have a bitter, almost burnt taste that doesn't line up with what you'd expect from "fresh espresso." Many people -- myself included -- have noticed this and given feedback, but instead of addressing it or offering to remake a drink, the response tends to be dismissive. They often say, "That's how our espresso tastes," as if that ends the conversation. But anyone who's had truly fresh espresso knows that's not how it should taste. What's frustrating is that this isn't a one-time issue. There are many similar reviews online mentioning the same problems -- both with the taste of the drinks and the customer service. When so many people are saying the same thing, it's a sign that something needs to change. But instead of trying to fix the problem, it feels like Mudslinger's has chosen to ignore it. Another thing that stands out is the inconsistent service. Sometimes, the workers are warm and chatty -- but only with certain people. It honestly gives off a bit of a "clique" vibe, where if you're a regular or part of their social circle, you'll get friendly conversation and great service. But if not, you might get a quick "hi" and "bye," and a cold, rushed interaction. It's disheartening to watch someone in front of you get a five-minute friendly chat while you're met with barely a word. Which ended up making a lot more sense to me once I realized almost everyone who works there is related, and many people who have worked there had a bad experience because of said family. Which personally, I think it half of your reviews are made up of your literal workers making "good reviews" then that is a big even sign in itself... But, that is just my opinion, cause as a past business owner I would never go and write good reviews for my own business? Just not ok, whatsoever! Which... If you can come on here and give your own business a review, why can't you respond to customers trying to give very much needed feedback... What makes this even more disappointing is that customer service is where great coffee shops usually shine. A good coffee shop understands that coffee is a personal experience -- that not everyone likes the same flavors or intensity. The best ones take feedback seriously, and instead of hiding behind excuses, they make things right. It's refreshing when a business truly values its customers and listens to them -- unfortunately, that just hasn't been my experience here. To wrap this up though, I truly hope Mudslinger's listens to all this feedback. Owens Cross Roads has a lot of great coffee shops that not only serves great drinks, but also treat every customer with the same kindness and respect. So it would be great to feel that here as well. A little effort, humility, and genuine care could make all the didn't

I was in the area on my way home and decided I'd grab a coffee from here since my earlier coffee of the day was disappointing and I always love to check out local coffee when I'm in unfamiliar places. This coffee shop is located in downtown Fayetteville and has a cute historic small-town feel to it. Street parking wasn't too hard to find in the early afternoon. I walked into a nicely air conditioned shop and was promptly greeted by a polite employee. They have a lot of specialty drinks with different flavors posted on the wall. They also offer some simple lunch options. After a minute or so of deliberation, I decided to order one of their specialty lattes. I'm a little bit removed from my visit, but I seem to recall it being the "Witches Brew;" it had some combination of chocolate, caramel, and I think maybe vanilla flavors. The nice employee made it for me quickly and I was out the door. Overall, it was a decent beverage. It mostly just tasted like a mocha to me -- didn't pick up on much caramel or vanilla. It was better than the coffee I got earlier, though, so that was a plus! The service was very polite, I liked the vibe, and I liked my drink enough that I'd return and try another drink in the future.
