Out of all the Starbucks popping up around Oslo, this one is at the bottom of my list. Every time I have been here, I have received that typical Norwegian, rude service. Customer service is bound to be bad in a country where it is very hard to be fired and these girls working here make the most of out it. It's a shame really as I am sure a lot of tourists stop by here. Hopefully they haven't been met with the same grumpy, angry faces I have been met with.
The few times I have been here, it took forever to get my drink even though there was a very small line. The girls just stood there talking while the line of drinks grew. Once when they got my order wrong, I let them know. They insisted it was for another person. So I apologized and waited for my order to come. When people that were behind me in line started getting their drinks and I had yet to get mine and the drink I thought might be mine continued to sit there, I asked the barista where my drink was. She then told me that the drink on the counter was mine and rolled her eyes and walked off. I again told her if that was my drink then they got it wrong, she said then it must be someone else's. At that point I asked for my money back. It was then that someone that knew what they were doing remade my drink. It took me 20 minutes from the time I got in line to the time I got my correct drink. Completely unacceptable if you ask me. If I must have Starbucks, I will walk a short 5 minutes more to the Starbucks at Oslo City, where the service is much better. read more
