Tip: Sign up for Starbucks rewards, and earn stars towards free drinks and more…read more I was reminded by Starbucks recently that I have been a Starbucks rewards member since 2008. I remember visiting Starbucks at Brookfield Place, where I worked. I signed up for Starbucks rewards there. Months later, I ended up changing jobs and working at Yonge and Eglinton. There were plenty of Starbucks locations in the area, so I ended up being a regular Starbucks customer. After all these years, I didn't really have a favourite Starbucks cafe. Sure, I visit my local one a lot out of convenience, but it's not my favourite. I'd say the one closest to my workplace is close to being my favourite because it has a drive-thru and staff are extremely friendly. They like being there and appreciate that I appreciate what they do. My friend, Sandy, and I dropped by this Starbucks cafe in late August before a Yelp event in Oakville. Frankly, my knowledge of the Mississauga-Oakville border is so poor that I thought this cafe was in Oakville. Nope, it's considered Mississauga. I have found my favourite Starbucks cafe. It's this one. This cafe has a drive-thru. It had steady business when we dropped by. We wanted to get drinks, sit down, chat, and kill some time. It's rare that I can't comment on going through a Starbucks drive-thru. It's the case here. I backed into a parking spot fairly close to the main entrance. We got out of my car and entered the cafe. Sandy did a pitstop. I used the washroom before we left. There are two single stalls. The one that I used was clean and roomy. I went to place my order. My favourite drink these days is the cool lime refresher. It was a regular drink on the menu years ago. Starbucks got rid of it. When it returns for a limited time, I pounce on it like a tabby cat. I got the nicest barista. When I ordered this refresher in a grande size, she asked if it was for here or to go. I said the former. She asked if I wanted it in a glass or a cup. A glass?! Super fancy! It was a first for me. I went for the glass. Wow! And, that's why this cafe is my favourite. I have never had any Starbucks cold drink in a glass before. I had my Starbucks barcode on my app scanned to pay for my drink. I like that my name shows up automatically on the label. It didn't take long for my drink to be ready. Yes, I picked up the solid glass containing my cool lime refresher. I sat down with Sandy and her drink. My glass had a sticker with my name and my order on it. Maybe my glass was chilled a bit. I loved my cool lime refresher. It tasted even better in a glass. Maybe it's psychological. I don't know. I do know that it hit the spot and I felt classy. Yes to getting a drink in a glass. Sandy had her drink in a cup. I showed her the braille at the bottom of it. She thought it was neat. Her reaction was similar to mine when I accidentally found it. This cafe is clean. Staff are friendly. The only downside was that there weren't any baked goods in the display case. I'm not sure why. Luckily, I wasn't in need for any, so I'm not docking any stars off my rating. There was a bin to put your glasses and dishes in by the garbage and recycle bin. I actually cleaned out my car and brought my empty beverage bottles in to be recycled. I loved being here. This cafe stands out. It is my favourite Starbucks cafe and I'm happy that I have one at long last. I hope to return and try the drive-thru. I'd also like to come back and have a drink in a glass. I don't usually write Yelp reviews for large chains, but this Starbucks truly deserves recognition…read more What sets this location apart is the people. The team is consistently warm, attentive, and genuinely kind. It never feels scripted. You feel welcomed, remembered, and taken care of every time you walk in. Even during busy periods, the staff stays calm, professional, and positive. There is clearly strong leadership and good training behind the scenes. The store feels well run, organized, and supportive, and that shows directly in the customer experience. The service is consistent, the details are handled well, and the energy in the space is always steady and welcoming. In a brand as large as Starbucks, it is rare to find a location that stands out this much. This one does because of the team culture, the care they bring to their work, and the way they represent the brand day in and day out. Corporate should be proud of the people working here. Highly recommend this location, not just for the coffee, but for the experience.

The staff are generally cheerful, helpful, and most importantly for this franchise, never have any problems with accommodating anything I've ever had customized beyond what size and flavour off the billboard. (My biggest peeve with this chain was how they had "Short" versions of all their drinks, but did not post it as an option on their ordering billboard. I found that practice quite shameful but, since I've not ordered a regular short for a while, who knows, maybe that's not even an option anymore. *Note to Self: Buy a short regular brew coffee and find out ..) For that reason alone, I'd have rated 4 but since I didn't place a Short order, I'll not punish this one actual store's review. This is one of the locations that has a the prime real estate corner in a commercial tower, so you get the outdoor patio tables on a nice corner of Yonge Street. It's also quite spacious on the inside, so you have a real slew of options for the seating arrangement you might have preference for when you come in. I'll hope the Yelp pictures already posted for this store are adequate for an overall look at the place without actually going in since I don't tend to take photos for every review. Meantime, I've always had great service here and I've never found it unacceptably untidy or dirty. So long as their baristas and service staff keep up their part of the experience, this location's a great one in my Yelp book. :D

One time when I came by there was a table that was reserved by the Starbucks staff as an activity table for seniors. That day it was for adult colouring which was a nice community touch. I was a bit taken back that on a Monday evening they'd be out of ingredients, maybe a Friday evening after a full week?? Anyway, I counted about seven people behind the counter and was surprised and disappointed at how long it took to make my drink. It wasn't rush hour to work, so I know I wasn't competing with a crowd and I was the only customer inside who ordered... While waiting for my order to be made, I observed two baristas chasing a bee that made its way into the store. This went on for about five minutes and then these same ones began to make my drink. They were out of whipped cream and needed to make some. Truthfully, it was incredibly annoying to be asked if I wanted whipped cream with the undertone that them having to make it would be an inconvenience to them. Though they were apologetic, my wait could have been cut in half had the two baristas didn't spend time chasing a bee.

I left home after work and had a lot of time to spare when I was close by. I thought that traffic would be bad, but back-roading it got me here in half an hour. I remembered this Starbucks nearby. It's a couple of businesses down from California Sandwiches, which I enjoy frequenting when I have a hankering for a veal sandwich. I decided to head to this cafe, grab a drink, and relax. I found a parking spot in front of the cafe. I backed into it. This plaza has a steady stream of vehicles. This Starbucks has a drive-thru, which would explain some of the traffic flow. I walked into this cafe. It's huge. There were a ton of seats to my right. I walked straight ahead to the counter. There were more seats in this area. I got a nice female barista who enthusiastically said hi. I ordered a tall iced peach green tea. My usual drink size is grande. I didn't need a huge drink, as I was here for about half an hour. She scanned my Starbucks barcode from my phone. Paid. Done! I waited patiently for my drink. It didn't take long for it to be ready. She handed it to me. I thanked her and found a seat steps away from the counter. It was a comfortable stay. I connected my phone to the free wifi. It allowed me to upload a bunch of photos on Yelp. My iced peach green tea hit the spot. The peach flavour tasted like a juicy peach. It was cold and yummy. The armchairs looked so comfortable. I'd probably doze off in one! I used the washroom before I left. There are three individual stalls. You press a button when you are inside one of them to lock the door. I appreciated that there was a ledge for my drink. It was a nice touch. The washroom that I used was clean. No complaints. I pressed another button to open the door and leave. I can see myself spending hours here if my wifi connection at home wasn't working and I needed to do some work. I'd probably order way too many drinks and snacks while I worked. It's one of the nicer cafes that I have frequented. I'm glad that I stopped by. I'd love to check out the drive-thru next time. (431)

If we want a quick breakfast or a drink or snack, we either grab something to go from this location or we will eat or drink it there. This Starbucks had plenty of indoor seating to the right when you enter from the front doors (with a back door right there) and a larger open area with smaller and larger tables to sit with a small group or at a community table. As it was very cold out, I couldn't recall if there was also outside seating available for nicer times of the year. There was also a drive-through at this location. Orders are often rather fast at this location. The cashier was very helpful in walking my sister through how to use her app to pay with a gift card. I was amazed that the prices in Toronto match the prices back in Arizona (in the United States), which means that being these items in the United States are an even better deal. I have been impressed with the responsiveness and helpfulness of the Starbucks staff at this location. On this particular visit, my sister and I were skipping a brunch restaurant, and I ordered the Double-Smoked Bacon, Cheddar & Egg Sandwich (bacon smoked for 6 hours over hickory wood chips, stacked with a cage-free fried egg, topped with a melted slice of sharp Cheddar cheese and on Starbucks' signature croissant bun) while my sister ordered two orders of egg bites. We did not order any drinks on this particular time. As most Starbucks frequenters know, you should have the app with some funds on it and ideally a Gold Card. There are often deals through the app whether a discount or buy one get one free or bonus stars, which can be used to redeem free drinks or food. I enjoy the games that come out about twice a year and can lead to bonus stars, sweepstakes, and more. I'm glad that there's a Starbucks near the hotel I stay at especially as this is one of the best places for a quick food item or drink on the go. I anticipate I'll be back again in the next few months!
