I have mad more pit stops at this Starbucks than probably any other. My request drives from central OR to the Portland area usually took me over the mountain and regardless of which direction I was headed, this was a key location to stop, use facilities and refresh my drink. Went to the new Madras Starbucks for the first time over the weekend. The gal at the window was very rude and argued with me about the pricing of a drink and adding extra shots of frap roast coffee. Then when I got to the window, the lady made everything right and apologized for her rude coworker. I ended up tipping her 5.00 for the 4 coffees'. After i drove off we tasted our coffee and it tasted like straight up water. I was so disappointed. I will not ever go back to that Starbucks again. I have had such poor luck with coffees' lately from Starbucks. The last 6 I have bought here in Central Oregon have been awful. They are expensive to just waist your money on and not have them taste good. read more

Hire a second worker! The only Starbucks in 80 miles and the lines are out the door! What a joke! This place is hopping since it's the only place literally for many miles. EVERYTHING is a wait, I get it, but when you're IT in town, make accommodations. The person behind the counter didn't even acknowledge the fact the are taking so long. They take the order, then make the order. The next people waited actually asked when they would be helped when the worker could have apologized up front. I counted no less than FIVE workers standing around that could be doing something. Needless to say, I didn't spend my money here OR waste my time! My new Espresso maker is at home waiting for me. so I'm new to coffee, but I've been here a couple times to order a caramel frappe. today I ordered the same drink I've ordered before. no cream, not a big deal, but the lady put it in a small cup. a very small cup. I paid just under 7$ for a small child size cup of this? Went there at 8:30am to get a coffee and the person working said she wasn't open so we asked when she would be and she told me whenever I finished getting everything done. So I left for 30 mins and came back she still wasn't opened a I stood in line for 10 mins and she just ignored me and wouldn't talk to me so I walked away and the people that were standing behind me walked up and she started talking to them right away. Drinks came out just fine, but the cashier Jennifer F was incredibly unpleasant. Never looked me In the eye, no you're welcome every time I said thank you. She walked away while I ran my card through the machine and when she came back a few minutes she looked at me like I was crazy for attempting to pay while she wasn't there. And then when I told her I already ran my card and input my PIN, she belittled me saying it "obviously didn't go through". Her name tag even said "employee of the month", so not sure what that says about this location. read more

These gals are fantastic. Brianna S. and Laci (or Angie?) were rocking the rush and keeping everyone happy when I stopped by today. Laci probably deserves a week-long paid vacation after serving three tweens who were the epitome of....um....tweens. The giggling mass of noise and glitter was hovering at the pickup counter and they had to have asked for at LEAST half a dozen changes or additions to their frufru drinks. Laci not only kept her cool, she was the very picture of professionalism and courtesy. I consider myself to be a pretty calm and adaptive person and I'm pretty sure I would have, at the very least, told them they needed to take their drinks as ordered. Laci, however, was everything we all should endeavor to be on a daily basis. Now, lest you think Laci was the only one working her tail off, let me tell you about Brianna S. Brianna, she was on her A game, too. Laci had the tweens and Brianna was running the well-oiled machine that is the rest of their kiosk. She was taking orders, making iced teas, washing blender pitchers, refilling receipt tape, and making me wish I was that good at anything in life. I wonder if she does childcare or cleans houses....hmmmm. Because, I'd hire her in a heartbeat and, if watching her run that Starbucks kiosk is any indication, I'm betting my house would be spotless and she would be done with three hours of babysitting in 20 minutes flat. She's that on top of things. All in all, I can't remember the last time I was this impressed with the customer service and work ethic of anyone in customer service/food service, let alone TWO people. While this Starbucks is half an hour away from my home, I may just have to start doing my Safeway shopping in Madras instead of Redmond so I can visit this Starbucks location again. By the way, folks, if you use the Starbucks app to pay, you don't just get points for free goodies and all that other stuff; you can tip even hours after you leave the store (it's under "History," if I remember correctly). That feature definitely came in handy today and I'm sure baristas this fantastic (who absolutely deserve to be recognized with a nice, little tip) would be grateful to everyone who uses that awesome feature and/or spreads the word about it. read more

I'm very dissatisfied with the service here. I'm a volunteer doing a service for the people. The Starbucks in Bend took VERY good care of us. This location charged us for hot water!! Then they say it will take 30 min for my coffee but yet they heat up the food 1st so by the time I recieved the coffee the food was cold.
