Even their matcha goes beyond your average powdered mixture, as they're using ceremonial-grade matcha sourced straight from organic tea gardens and making it fizzy, tangy, and delicate. As expected with it being London, the prices are much higher here, it seems prices can vary between around £0.05 and £1 depending on the type of drink and merchandise. The staff member who served me seemed nice, but he refused to give me the Eat Out Help Out discount which Starbucks as a whole is signed up for, even though Starbucks as a chain is listed on the website. This gives you 50% or £10 off (whichever is lower) food and drinks when eating inside as part of a scheme by Rishi Sunak and the UK government. I later found out that it is only certain stores signing up for this which makes it more confusing - I don't understand it, they have no reason not to sign up! Regardless, my beverage was pretty good, I didn't have to stir it which can be the pain especially with the new lids, I must add the new lids are great and much better than the awful paper straws, these lids have been common in the US for some time now and I'm glad they made it across the pond. 3* - One of my favourite Starbucks stores in a modern setting yet I still think the fluctuation in pricing is a big issue as well as the fact they were misguiding customers on EOHO and also breaking UK law by not asking customers to fill in contact tracing details who sit in the store.
