Drive thru: Slowest one yet. Even when there is nobody in line (which is rare) they take forever. They run out of something every time I have gone through such as cups and certain flavors. Anyway I hate this Starbucks . Never had a good experience. And as far as the design of the drive - thru... Just fix it already. I am the biggest Starbucks fan; at the drive thru, inside the cafe and at home in my coffee maker. Some are okay, some are amazing and I have been to two crummy ones. This is fine, and thank God, because the next nearest is 30 miles away. Sometimes the strength isn't consistent, but recently, its been great. Keep it coming. read more

This location is so ridiculously slow! It almost always takes 20mins to get a drink that takes 5mins at locations that are much busier. I'm not sure what the issue is here, but I'm pretty sure I'd get a drink faster in Santa Maria or Buellton, including the drive time. read more

Never never never again. Took 45 MINUTES to get through that drive thru line! If the curb wasn't so high, I would have dodged out of there. Once at the window, we had to wait 15 MINUTES just to get an iced coffee. That's right, a coffee on ice. No apologies, no acknowledgement that it had taken so long. Just like any other Starbucks, except coming from LA IM USE TO FAST SERVICE and this place just didn't know what the work fast means

At 7 in the morning, when I walked in, no one was in line so I walked up to counter and was not acknowledged. Two more customers came in after me and finally the 4th customer received a "Hi, welcome to Starbucks!" I ordered 4 holiday drinks so that I could get the free, red, reusable cup that my inbox was inundated with, and was told that they were out of free cups. The man behind me in line proceeded to leave and I suggested that they shouldn't advertise this if it wasn't happening. The employee told me that they had been super busy this morning and I related that there was a lot of morning left. So, I got my drinks and got out of there. My nephew drank the eggnog latte and said it tasted like bath water and milk, but bath water is warmer. His coffee was cold. Starbuck's app, advertising, and emails are misleading and their coffee sucks, thus this review. read more

Apparently mobile orders for this location does not jump you to the head of the line. This is my 3rd mobile order at this location and I watch people come in, place their order and receive it before my mobile order. I can see my cup sitting by the sink with the label on it while walk-in customers are served before my order is even started. I always have to ask them for my mobile order then they'll start to make it. I have great experiences at the Buellton and Santa Maria (South Broadway and E. McCoy) locations. It takes approx 11 minutes in the Lompoc location before I get my mobile order when it should take 4-8 minutes according to the time on the order when I place it. This is my hometown location. I've also gone back through the previous posts and noticed the majority of the posts were for slow service inside as well as the drive thru. I also noticed not once did a Starbucks manager from this store post any apologies or correction to their service on any of the posts. Goes to show how customer service is viewed by the management team and owner at this location. They don't care. read more

This Starbucks is SO SLOW. I've been here probably 20 times and every one of them has took me 15 minutes or more to get through the drive thru every one of those times (and that's counting from the time we actually get in the actual drive thru lane) read more

Staff is really friendly but I refuse to go through the drive thru. It is super slow and super inconvenient to try and get into it and wait without avoiding other cars driving past you in the parking lot. read more

The baristas here go ABOVE and BEYOND what any barista would do. They know my order the second I walk in the door, and make it right everytime! Even though it can get busy; the baristas keep cool, calm, collective, and have everything out in a timely manner, say thank-you, and with a friendly smile on their face. You definitely don't see that at many local coffee shops. As for the previous comments saying it's "Walmart style coffee," it is most definitely not. Went there around 3pm on 5/22. Employees working the indoor registers had very bad attitudes and were extremely unhelpful. Also, I know from working at Starbucks in the past that allowing customers to use the phone for a quick call is permitted if it is a local call and these employees were unwilling. I know the most important aspect of being a barista at Starbucks is attitude and these ladies failed big time. read more

Be ready to have your drink screwed up here. They are never aware of any Starbucks promotions either. This has happened twice, once inside, once drive thru. Had to go back, polite as can be explained what happened and both times was smirked at by different teenage baristas. Done with this location, you're better off going to the Vons Starbucks further down the street. read more

Most of the time I am satisfied with the service at this "particular" Starbucks but today really was unpleasant. First of all, the girl who took my order ended up being the same one to make my drink, the mocha coconut frappucino. I specifically made it a point to tell her that I wanted it to be "light", replace the roast with 2 shots of expresso, and that I still wanted the whip cream, choc. syrup and toasted coconut. When I got my order, it was a regular mocha frappucino, and did not have the toppings I requested at all. When I told her, she rolls her eyes, and asked me if I ordered a mocha frapp or a mocha coconut frapp. I told her the mocha coconut frapp. She then proceeds to dump the drink that was made into the trash real hard like some kind of child having a temper tantrum, as if I was inconveniencing "her". I didn't get the order wrong .... she did! Her attitude stunk. I consider myself a fairly laid back person. I don't get into conflicts with people very often, and this is the first time I have EVER written a review, but she really pissed me off with her stank attitude. Before I left I asked her what the manager of this particular Starbucks name was and if s/he was in. She told me his name but that he would not be in until next week. Whatever. One other thing, another reviewer here stated that she usually orders the same thing. So do I, and as she stated, it ends up tasting different. When you think about it, you don't really know if they got your order right or not, but you have to really wonder when you doesn't consistently taste the same. read more

Truly the worst Starbucks I've ever been to. I worked for Starbucks for over 4 years at the busiest store in a large town, so I've been to/worked in my fair share of stores. This one is consistently busy, but the staff seem to care very little about that. There seems to be a lot of partners on the floor doing nothing but talking to each other and avoiding eye contact with customers and customer service. I have consistently waited for my drink in the cafe for over 20 minutes. There needs to be some better training at this location. read more

Don't bother getting anything blended here; they overblend the frappuccinos until they're no longer frappuccinos, just slightly cold syrup. Gross! The hot drinks are hit-or-miss and I've had too many experiences where I regretted my purchase or literally tossed my drink and gotten another from Santa Maria. I always get the green tea frapp with raspberry and soy. Came here got it and it was extremely sweet. Like toothache sweet. On top of that they ignore you completely and you have to tell then your ready to order or if you need a straw you have to ask for one, otherwise you have a frapp drink and no way to drink it. The espresso barista especially seemed like she did not want to be there because she gave the worste customer service ever for Starbucks. read more

I love starbucks! I'm a twice a day costumer! My boyfriend and I just moved here and we stopped by a couple of weeks ago for a for some nice chais and a good atmosphere to take break before we finished the rest of day. Before we walked in I noticed that the trash cans outside were full and the trash was scattered all over the place. The place inside was WORST off then the trash rolling into the streets! DIRTY AND GROSS this place was horrid and smelled like puke!!! At first I just thought they might have been busy and not have gotten around to cleaning, but there were 8 people in the back and there was no one there -_- while we were ordering the cashier was rude and never even looked at us! She also freaking coughed all over God's creation! Just please cover your mouth. :( We ordered a iced chai and a refresher and waited about 11 minutes for the drinks and they never even called them out :( They might have had better days, but sadly we will not be going back. read more

My most recent visit was very dissapointing and upsetting. I ordered my usual drink (Triple Grande Soy with whip two pump Mocha) and proceeded to take a sip when it was done. First, it was foamy. Second, it had no espresso. I thought the foam might be a small layer on top so I drank a few more sips and it was more foam. I informed the barista, "Stevie", that it was foamy. And do you know what he did? He argued with me about it. He took the drink back and said, "Well, it feels heavy." Yes it does, Stevie, it does feel heavy. Am I supposed to feel all better now?!? He proceeded to scoop the foam off the drink and said, "You did order it with whip." Right again you are, Stevie!! I was so pissed that I finally said "GIVE ME THE DRINK BACK!" To which he gave me that "don't hit me!" look, probably thinking I was going to reach across the counter and strangle him. But I was just irritated because he and I both knew he goofed up the drink. He went on break and another girl took his spot, whom I asked to re-make the drink. And, it was the same excellent triple grande soy with whip two pump mocha that I have been drinking for 8 years. I let her know that the other barista didn't put espresso in the drink, hoping for maybe some empathy, or even the possibility that she would let a manager know. But her reply was, "OK - have a good weekend!!!" Starbucks is losing my market share for 12 months. That's how long I'll boycott a business after an excessive number of unsatisfactory experiences. Very impressed with speed of service and how kind and polite everyone on the floor was to each customer. Also, the store was very well kept. No trash on the floor and the condiment bar stocked. Their drive thru is a little slow, but my main issue with this Starbucks are the rude customers. But other than that the service is ok, the staff are friendly and greets you properly. That's why I'm giving them three stars because of the homely, and courteous staff. I probably will avoid going to this Starbucks from now on, or maybe cutting down on Starbucks to 1 or 2 trips a month is a good start. read more
