my wife and i didn't get the chance to drink our coffee/water or eat our food. our coffee and water was in a drink carrier, my pregnant wife asked the worker to please wait before she grabbed our drinks but she shoved it in our window which resulted in all of our drinks spilling in our car and food getting ruined. now i have to pay for our car to get detailed as well read more

For whatever reason, the drive thru was closed for the weekend during our visit to Lompoc. Despite that minor nuisance, this is a solid little Starbucks, with the usual corporate-controlled components that add to the reliability of the company to turn out consistent caffeinated creamy, cocoa & coffee creations curated conveniently and quickly with coconut milk. Don't know where that came from. This store participated in a national program to support armed forces families with jobs. The walls are covered with signage to that effect, and there is even a Starbucks flag displayed proudly indicating their participation. The store is relatively small, with a few tables, and none of those fancy in-table charging stations for your devices. Still, a mellow place to take a load off and load up on caffeine. read more

Last day coming in while visiting. It still deserves every star! Ordered the reduced fat turkey bacon breakfast sandwich and a tall extra hot skinny mocha. Absolutely pathetic. Everything takes forever. We left after 30 minutes without our ONE grande drink that we ordered. Unfortunately, there is no excuse for this timeframe. Quite possibly the worst Starbucks ever. Update: the Starbucks on Ocean offered excellent customer service! I really don't understand why anybody would want to waste away there day waiting at the dingy location on H street. read more

If I could give negative stars I would. This has to be the WORST Starbucks location ever. Went in there, no line, I ordered two specialty espresso drinks. One was ready. The other wasn't ready for another two minutes. Meanwhile several other drinks were made in between the first and second in my order. When I asked where my other drink was the people behind the counter were complete assholes. Said in the most rude way that there is only one espresso machine. I get that as I have two eyes and can see. Would be no problem if three of the other five drinks that came in between my first and second weren't espresso drinks. Get my second drink and it tastes like tar. Absolutely disgusting. A waste of $6. Do not waste your time at this location. The employees here are what I'm basing my review on. Yes, they have bottlenecks time to time but as someone who's worked drive through a before, people order massive amounts through the drive through expecting it to be faster. The employees are always welcoming. I get a friendly hello and a goodbye everytime even if I'm just picking up. A couple of them even call me by name even though I mobile order. When I asked the barista how much longer it would be the tall skinny blonde she was rude and snapped at me and told me If I didn't want to wait I could get a refund. Then she walked off. They shouldn't call this a drive through but a slide through. If you see cars in line expect to wait 15-20 minutes. I ordered a juniper latte with light ice and received a full cup of ice. I normally don't mind it, but if you expect me to wait this long you better get my order right. Then they spilled my kids milk and asked if I wanted a napkin. Maybe wipe it? This is my go to store, I will agree with some of the reviews service is not the fastest right now, but it was not like this before COVID so I'm chalking it up to that. The baristas are all very friendly and willing to help anyway they can. I really appreciate that they have never gotten my wife's order wrong because she is lactose intolerant. Everyone is amazing at this location! It's the only Starbucks (not including the one in vons, which isn't really an actual starbucks) for the entire Lompoc population, Village, Mission Hills, AND the base PLUS commuters. It's one of the busiest ones in California, so even with the barista on bar rushing their butt off, there's still going to be a wait. Especially when you order 8 Frappucinos and 5 hot drinks. Everyone is always friendly, if my drink is made wrong they ALWAYS remake it happily, I hear them connect with other regulars, remember drinks and people's names, and to me that's worth the 8 minute wait. Will is one of the best guys there, Becky always makes my teas to perfection (so does Bri), Kailey ROCKS drive through, and Nikki has never made my drink wrong once, and is the sweetest! If you get any of those fine folks, rest assured, you are in good hands! read more

Don't know why they only have an average of 2 stars, but this store is staffed by friendly people and is very busy since there is only one in Lompoc. Use their mobile order app to bypass the line. The military themed artwork is really cool. read more

Drive thru should be quick- pick up the pace Starbucks! First of all, super excited that Lompoc has a Starbucks- you're moving up in the world Lompoc! But, I firmly believe that all Starbucks should be created equal and this one is not. Drive thru is horribly slow. Even when we went in to order, to avoid slow drive thru, the girl at the register was incredibly slow herself- somehow an order for a grande and a venti coffee turned into a grande coffee in a venti cup. All in all, this location needs to send its staff to Starbucks training school or something to bring it up to par with most other Starbucks locations. read more

3 stars because I can't rate day crew and night crew. Day crew is slow, unorganized and their drinks can be quite different. Totally depends on who makes it. Some good, some bad. Night crew has just a few people working so the store is pretty messy at night. From what I have heard, day crew doesn't clean which leaves the understaffed night crew to clean up after them. I have had GREAT drinks from night crew though! I think this store has a HUGE management problem. They need better people in the day and more people at night. read more

So I'be lived and traveled quite a bit in my short existence so far.. and had a decent amount of Starbucks. I have to tell you this is one of the worst Starbucks I have gone to. Sometimes their Batistas are nice with great service other times they are just down right rude. When they are busy t takes forever to get your drink. I used to live in a bush city and they could have you in and out of the store in 3 min or so. Sometimes in lompoc I can wait up to 10 min. I just feel that if it is the only main Starbucks they should be trained better for higher volumes of people. So they don't get moody or too slow at making drinks and keeping customers flowing. I give this Starbucks a two star rating because sometimes they are great but rarely are they great. Really frustrating but then I can just support local coffeehouses in town instead. read more

Came into this location after skydiving nearby. My Mom and son stood in line to order a few drinks. I sat down to relax in one of the leather chairs. They were waiting FOREVER! I used the ladies room, sat and sent some messages and was damn near ready to leave already while they were STILL waiting in line for my iced green tea. They had one person on hot drinks and one on cold - and let's just say the wait for cold was ridiculous! They were not very busy, a handful or so of people ordering/waiting so there is zero reason to take this long. I always feel i have to rush because i am being an inconvenience for them and have broken up their conversation about what they did on their weekend. So I order a Venti decaf mocha frapp. Extra thick 1st time girl gives it really watery 2nd it tastes just like ice 3rd time taste exactly the same except it's really watery again. Then I let them know that I'm missing another Venti drink and her response is well we have to remake other drinks as well. I work graveyard, and stopped on my way to work to get a coffee and it was closed. Yelp's time say's their close at 1am and i was there at 11:45pm there were 2 staff members. And neither one responded i passed thru the drive thru honked my horn, and even got out the car and knocked on their door and neither responded. The store seemed to be still opened they just didn't want serve service because they didnt want interruptions why they were cleaning. I go to Starbucks every single day. I've been to Starbucks from Tokyo to Boston. This location hasn't been one of the best. I've been working out here for the past two days and stopped by each day before work. They haven't messed up my coffee but how can you screw up an americano? However, I ordered a steak wrap and the kid at the counter was CLEARLY brand new. So I won't fault them on that. The problem I've have is today when I mobile order the exact same order as the day before they didn't tell me that they were out of wraps. I waited for 15-20 minutes then asked what was going on. Alee was nice and returned me my $4. Maybe it was lost in communication because I used the app. I'm not writing this to scorch anyone, I just want this location to know that they have areas that could use some improvement. read more
