Constantly gets orders wrong doesn't apologize and over priced. Order a Venti and gets a grande instead. Doesn't apologize for getting the order wrong or offer a refund for charging me the wrong amount

Trying my free cup of cocoa.

I want to like this location. I really do. They used to be kitty corner to where they are now. Big location. Lots of parking. NOT ANYMORE! There are limited parking spaces. Half the time I come here there are no places to park and you can see folks parking across the way in the Walgreens parking lot. Absolutely ridiculous. How am I supposed to rate the service when I can't even park to come in? Poor choice of moving. Boo!

Two for the road!! Lol

Which may sound a lot but because many get taken up by the staff or lingering customers along with the lot being very very small, it could be a big hassle to park.

Great coffee spot right next to the Libertyville Metra stop. I missed my train in the morning so…read moreinstead of punishing myself and getting all mad, I treated myself to a brown butter latte and a cranberry orange scone. After all it is a Friday! There are many things on the winter menu that I would love to try next time I am back. The scone was huge and very flavorful. And the brown butter latte was a nice warm treat on a cold Chicago morning. The employees behind the counter were nice and friendly and helped me decide my drink for the morning. It was between the miso caramel latte or the brown butter latte, and I went with the brown butter. Nice chill coffee spot with great options. They have a nice cozy couch in the front and heard they have a nice big sitting area in the back that I didn't have time to check out. Til next time!

Same industrial feel inside with lots of seating and work space. Great as a remote working space or a meeting with friends. Expansive menu. All of the usuals for such a craft coffee shop but they also have a great selection pastries, some of which are vegan and gluten free. They've even got the ingredients for each item posted on the side of the display. Their website and social media is very backdated. I couldn't find anything recent in terms of their current menu in order to plan ahead before coming but the woman behind the register was very helpful.

Everything was freshly prepared, house made, and quite good. Portions are large and quality is great. details: Ordering is via QR code, but they provide printed menus. The café is open Wednesday through Sunday 8 am to 3pm. They do not accept reservations; expect to wait during peak hours. This is a relatively small restaurant with choice of booths and tables. Staff are friendly too! I've had both the gluten-free chocolate chip cookie ($4) and the banana nut bread with chocolate chips ($4). Other pastries (scones, muffins, tarts) ranged from $6-$10, which I thought was a bit high. The chocolate chip cookie was tasty and chewy and you couldn't tell that it's gluten-free. A bit sweeter than some other ones I've had. I liked it but it's not a chocolate chip cookie to go out of your way for. The banana bread was full of chocolate, which made it nice and gooey in certain areas on this hot day. Unfortunately, the parts without chocolate were a bit dry. Generally, the baked goods seemed a bit overpriced for the quality and taste, but maybe their savory items are better. I think I'd give it around a 3.5 for the food but bumped it up for the atmosphere. The area around is fun, with a hiking trail, goats, and a farm market on the weekends. Oh, and heads-up, there's a 3% credit card fee even though they're cashless.

TLDR - The Black Forest Coffee drink is great!…read more Full Review First to note: I'm a big coffee person and love drinking my coffee black in the morning. I will almost always pick black coffee over lattes, cappuccinos, and other classic combinations that would potentially mask the flavor notes of good quality coffee. The exceptions are specialty coffee drinks that have some unique combination of ingredients (aside from just different syrup flavors). But even then, I admit I'm a bit wary of having tried many cafes where these specialty drinks end up being too sweet. I've passed by Cherry & Coffee Cafe many times in Hawthorn mall in the past without giving it a second thought because of the very thing I mentioned above - likening it to cafes with overly sweet drinks. On this particular day, which happened to be Father's Day, I was in the area and looking for something caffeinated in the afternoon. I happened to glance at Cherry & Coffee Cafe's menu on google and saw something called "Black Forest Coffee", which was described as being made with chocolate syrup and maraschino cherries. This sounded intriguing enough that I ventured over to give it a shot. It somehow didn't click in my mind that this wasn't black coffee (I had interpreted/misread the description as having notes of chocolate and cherry). It finally hit me when I was ordering my drink and the barista asked me which milk I wanted (it's also quite possible I got confused because "coffee" was in the name instead of "latte"). I decided to go ahead with my order anyway since I had already made the trip over. Long story short, I was VERY surprised that the Black Forest Coffee drink was both not too sweet and quite good! My wife is especially picky with sugar levels (think Kung Fu Tea's milk tea with 0% sugar because she thinks the boba already adds enough sugar) and even she enjoyed it. So thanks to this happy accident, I think I will be back in the future to try their other offerings!
