If I could give this Starbucks a negative rating, I would. Why? That's a good question-this is my most recent experience there, which duplicates almost every single visit. It's Friday around 10:30am and I walk into the Starbucks. This newly renovated location seems both colder and smaller than it was previously. I don't mean cold temperature-wise, I just mean the over all feel of the place; just not a place you feel welcome in. Why? Because you are not welcome; at least not by any of the at least 4 employees they have behind the counter. I am thrilled, there is no one in line! I walk right up and order my coffee. This is when trouble ensues. Why? Let me tell you, the 4 employees seem shocked that I am there, at Starbucks, ordering a coffee. Immediately, one barista takes out a clipboard and starts writing something. The one who actually took my order is frozen in fear-the phone is....ringing. She asks clipboard if she should answer it and clipboard says yes, but is clearly perplexed herself by this strange sound. The 2 employees who are making coffees are clearly making to go orders because, as stated, I am the only customer actually there. I do understand that there is an order in which these drinks are made and I do not expect to "cut" in front of the to go orders placed before my coffee. While, I wait, these 2 are taking much needed breaks making drinks so they can have a conversation. When they begin making drinks they talk loudly to each other, over the music, and over the blender. They cannot multitask so many breaks are necessary. I want to tell them to focus on the task at hand but that doesn't seem to be my place. Now, people are starting to walk in and gather around the to go area. These people, one in particular start to look angsty. I get it; along with a very loud conversation going on between the two people making the coffee, there are two people who are doing nothing. The clipboard has been set aside and the phone conversation is long over, still, they stand. They wait in silence for more orders to come that will take forever to fill because they have to do their standing instead of helping make the orders that already exist. It was 12 minutes. 12 minutes before I actually got my drink and the frustrated to go customer was still waiting. 12 minutes-one drink-4 employees-no line-loud music, louder blender, so even louder conversation. Was about 65 degrees outside and at least 117 degrees inside, which is far from an ideal waiting temperature. This Starbucks has always had issues with the staff being generally terrible, but I thought this facelift would be a fresh start, unfortunately, the employees are still pretty incompetent. read more

I brought my daughter here about a month ago because she was feeling really down. I was consoling her and the guy behind the counter could see the sadness in her. We ordered her favorite drink and the guy said "no charge". It was such a heart warming thing that my eyes watered up. It left a lasting impression on me and I feel like this location is an asset to the community. Thank you to the man who was so kind and compassionate. read more

Starbucks - the inside of a starbucks coffee shop - Coffee & Tea Near Me - La Grange, Illinois

Stopped in to get my usual cup of black, decaf coffee and was told that they no longer carry sweet-n- low or equal sweeteners. They only carry Stevia which to me completely changes the taste of coffee and not in a good way. I walked out disappointed that I couldn't satisfy my after dinner coffee need. Now I'm also wondering how I'm going to use the balance I have on my Starbucks card if I can't get the beverage that I've enjoyed all these years. read more

Very disappointed in the new remodel. The store was closed for about 2 Months, and now it looks smaller than before, with 2 small tables. Apparently there will a "patio" outside on the sidewalk, but right now in bad weather with no place to sit, we will go to Blackberry across the street. read more

Agreed, no offense, I'm convinced this is a homeless shelter as well. Everytime I walk in I get panhandlers hitting me up. I went here after dinner in La Grange one night. It was next door to where I went for my dinner. La Grange is a nice town that's good for a variety of restaurant and shopping places. I usually come here for a dinner once in a while. That's why this Starbucks is in a great location! The service was pretty good. The staff made my order correctly. They were friendly with the gift card I had. My vanilla bean frappachino was really sweet, but it was pretty good in the end. I tasted the fresh vanilla bean. It tasted a bit like ice cream, but sweeter. All in all, my frappachino was a big sweet, but the service and the location was the reason why this place gets 4 stars by me. read more

This has to be among the most poorly operated Starbuck's I have been in. And due to being a location hostage to these fools, I have been in multiple times. Simply put--they are very nice and very incompetent. Now their brilliant idea is to herd everyone back into the corner NOT COVID SAFE to pick up mobile orders. With not one guest at the register, three others are just ambling around on a Sat. morning while the barrista struggles to fill orders. I frequent this Starbucks when I need to take my car in for service down the street. I am not here that often but always find it up to par with the other Starbuck locations I frequent. Parking is street and usually not that hard to find. There is no drive-thru and no place to put one but it would be awesome if they had one. It depends on the season to determine what I get but the baristas always seem to make my drink correctly and without issue. They do have free wi-fi and a few outside tables. I am certain I will be back at some point since my car won't last forever. read more

I always order through the mobile app on my way to work and I order the same thing every time. Every time I come to pick up my order it is either wrong, they don't have something I ordered in stock or both. I always ask for no ice and there is ALWAYS ice in my order and instead of them remaking it they pour the ice out and pour more lemonade. This Starbucks Is convenient because it right as I get off the expressway but I would rather go to the Starbucks past my job and have my order correct instead of coming here and having my order wrong. read more

This is in a really cute area, but the barista was still asleep when I was here. We stopped in on a Sunday morning around 9, thinking we could get some coffee and kill some time before going to a football game. Yes, you read correctly, one of my boys has football games on Sunday mornings! Not fun. Anyway, when we stopped in here, there was 1 person in front of me in line. It took about 20 minutes to get 2 coffees (nothing special) and a kid hot chocolate. The guy making the drinks was moving so slowly, I was ready to jump over the counter to get my damn drinks! That along with the lady with the screaming toddlers did NOT make for a relaxing time. Maybe I don't have the right stuff for hanging out in a Starbucks. I want my drink quickly so then I can relax. Am I supposed to be relaxing while I wonder what the hell is taking so long to make my drink? 1 star for location, 1 star for the nice girl who rang up my order. I hope they make the drinks faster during the week for people going to work! I don't think "they were really slow at Starbucks" would be a good excuse for being late! read more

Back in the day, like 20 years ago, I loved this Starbucks. I'd go here all the time, since I was in that area a lot. I remember it being the cool place to go and hang out and drink coffee. Now, I love me some Starbucks, and get is every day at work. I spend way too much money with this company. However, this Starbucks has gone downhill a bit. The last few times I've been there, the store hasn't been kept up. The milk/cream/sugar bar was a hot mess. The staff wasn't overly eager to wait on me. The waiting area to pick up your coffee is always backed up. It is Starbucks, so I will still go here when I am in the neighborhood. The coffee tastes just as good. read more

On the way home from the dentist's office(Creative Dental) I stopped in at Starbucks. The service was quick; it always is, because I only order coffee. The sitting area in this Starbucks is not very large, but there is usually space. I rode a bicycle this day, and there was no place to lock up the bicycle. I ended up locking it to a nearby tree. I enjoyed relaxing there playing Candy Crush while sipping my coffee. WIFI is a great bonus to the good coffee. read more

"This is how you're going to get your drink because you asked for no ice so this is all you get." This was said with an attitude. My husband ordered me a pink drink no ice as I usually get it. They filled it half way and when he went to get it that's what it was said to him. I called to ask about their policy and an employee said they usually fill it to a "line" where they should stop when they add the ice. I contacted corporate because that was the first time that it had happened to me. They said no ice is an acceptable modification and they were supposed to fill it up. They gave me a credit. But still not pleased with the service at all. Truly bad customer service. Should've explained the particular no ice policy of this one store before the order was placed. read more

Worst Starbucks I've ever ordered from. Two days in a row my orders were not ready at the promised time and today there was only one other customer in store. They have moved the mobile pick up station to the back corner of the store which makes zero sense. Today one of the workers dropped a rubber floor mat on my foot that he was cleaning while I waited at the mobile pick up station.... I just don't get it. Fast and friendly Starbucks location, but I really don't like hanging out/stopping here because this is the one place the teenyboppers of La Grange can afford to be, so it can get overrun with kids- kids who use offensive language to try to sound cool (if that makes me sound old and uncool, then so be it!). If you need a quick caffeine fix, you can get it here. Drinks are good, but are at their usual exorbitant prices. I love Starbucks. This location is good when you order in person but they are not good when comes to Mobil orders. And my Mobil orders are very simple I order ice coffe with cream and sugar and get they don't add it even tho it's on my Mobil order. It's a great location but avoid Mobil orders and go in person the staff is very friendly. read more

My boyfriend and I go out of our way to go to this location! The one in countryside is a 2 minute drive from us and it's got drive through but that place is a piece of crap compared to these guys! Half of this crew is delightful, the other half is surly, rude, unhelpful and arrogant. Drinks are often made poorly or incorrectly, and attitude is often given when asked to correct them. I try very hard to get my coffee elsewhere, and have often chosen to skip getting coffee if I walk in and see certain employees working. I wish I could tip directly to the ones who are pleasant and hard working, it pains me to reward them all when so many have zero desire to provide decent customer service. read more

Starbuck's - the McDonald's of coffee beverages, meaning each Starbuck's location serves a pretty consistent product. I visited the LaGrange SBux with my wife and our longtime friend this morning; the three baristas were absolutely unpleasant and rude - a consistent experience at this particular location. I ordered an iced coffee, a pastry, and a hot coffee...in that order. The barista charged me for only the coffees. "Did you get the blueberry scone?" I asked. "You didn't tell me you wanted a blueberry scone," says she. "I'm sorry," I said as I reached into my pocket for a few dollars. "Well, do you want it or not?" snorted the barista. "No thanks...I'm good," I reply. My wife takes her coffee to the sugar and cream counter to discover each of the three thermos pitchers (Half & Half, Whole Milk, and Skim Milk) are empty. As I wait for my iced coffee, she relays the info to a different barista, to which the barista replies: "Yeah, I know..." I'm not trying to pick nits, but drop the attitude. It's neither necessary or becoming. I mention above about how the "Too Cool For The Room" experience is a common one; I rarely encounter such a sour group of baristas and employees at any other SBux I frequent. read more

This Starbucks location is always very fast and serves its costumers with respect. They are also good about if they make a mistake and are pleasant to help fix it. I enjoy going to this Starbucks over other ones in the area. They also do online pick up which is helpful especially when you are on the go.
