Needing to recharge and regroup to figure out where we are going and make it to the hardware store, we were hungry and needed better sustenance than is usually provided in a coffee shop. After looking around a bit, we ended up on Kingston's Princess street, and chose to try this place out. First of all, it's deceiving from the outside: it looks way smaller than it really is, like a bakery outlet with a reasonable variety of baked goods on offer. Being that we're still getting used to the "new normal", we weren't ready to dine in, and wanted a seat outside. **Note: to get a seat on the patio, you actually have to go outside to find the hostess and request a table. It was a Sunday afternoon, and they were doing a booming business! But the wait was not long. We had a hard time choosing from the menu; there are a LOT of options! I was expecting a beautiful bakery selection but it was more sandwiches and other unusual, eclectic meals. We eventually chose a burger for hubby, and a shrimp sandwich for me, with a regular coffee for him and Café au lait for me. The Café was great, and even came with a wafer cookie. OK, to be honest, I was not expecting to have my sinuses cleared out while I ate, but the food was so spicy to me, also with an after bite, that I was blowing my nose throughout the meal!
