The person who took our order and handed us our drinks--who I later found out was the manager--was very short and unfriendly. She barely greeted us at the intercom, and we had to initiate our order. The staff are very friendly. However, the location is not optimal. The parking lot is incredibly small. It's hard to find parking, out of the maybe 8 parking spaces. Okay, okay, I'm a Starbucks connoisseur and I'm not from Wisconsin, so take my two-star rating with a grain of salt. This is a perfectly fine Starbucks location. They've got the drinks, they've got the snacks (including the petites), they've got the merch, and their bathrooms are clean. But this is a Starbucks in a small town in Wisconsin, and it shares a building with an EZ Payday Loans and they share a front vestibule, meaning that if you park on the northeast side of the parking lot, you will enter the Sbux through a clear glass door whose label reads "EZ Payday Loans" (in its defense the door on the south side of the vestibule reads "Starbucks" only). Another cause for the two stars: the seating area by the front windows (three big tables, two little tables, two armchairs) is a bit cramped, and the seating area on the side wall (three small tables) is not well-lit. Minor but important detail. Sometimes I want the cute independent coffee shop (Harborside Common Grounds on 6th Avenue, anyone?), but sometimes I want the familiar standardized 'bux. When you are finally graced with someone's presence at the window or counter after silence for minutes, they shove your drink towards you with few words, and zero appreciation for your patronage. Drive-through Starbucks aren't the better Starbucks in general. It's not a good plan, the idea is to have workers in the same area doing two things at once, handling drive through orders in the same space as in house coffee orders isn't as efficient as it sounds. I've found a similar situation at Dunkin' Donuts and even McDonalds. Often it's faster to park, come in and order, then get right back in your car. At other times the drive through gets the priority and you can be in your chair inside sipping a latte faster if you drive up and order. This specific place the design is even weaker as the parking lot isn't big enough for the typical crowd, and the working area for the baristas and the staffing isn't adequate to handle the usual busy drive through times. But at off times this is a nice place for a coffee and to get some work done. The main problem here isn't the inefficient set up, and it really isn't the workers who I've found to be pretty good. It's the oddly obnoxious clientele. Lots of undersupervised tweens and teens come in here, and too many ill mannered adults as well. I don't think I've seen the like elsewhere. The place is fine if you know this ahead of time, bring sound cancelling headphones and you'll be fine. read more

Went to this location tonight and ordered an iced venti soy chai latte. The service was speedy for once but the bottom of my drink looked curdled. They most likely left the soy milk out a little too long before refrigerating it. Never going to this location again. This is a decent place to go to get your work done. At times it turns into a bit of an after-school Christian prayer circle hangout, although I don't really mind. These are good kids raised on good, clean, American values. I choose this location most of the time over Caleo on the northside, mostly because Caleo wants to act like pussies and close a 9pm. I stood in line behind 4 young girls.... probably 12-ish who all had such overly complex fruity drink orders that the cashier had to read the instructions from the girls smart phone, then another cashier put in her 2 cents worth... and this went on for several minutes, and then the 2nd of the 4 girls presents her smart phone for another overly complicated fruity drink order... now a good 10 minutes have gone by and the drive through is completely empty and the the 2 employees that had been working the drive through are now just standing around and I finally gave up waiting and stormed out... i love being the only adult i line for a COFFEE at a COFFEE place and can't get a COFFEE because i'm being ignored by 4 annoying children getting fruity non-coffee drinks and no one else even attempted to help me.... my guess is... it probably took that cashier a good 40 minutes to take care of these 4 children and lord only knows how many others were ignored in the process... i have nothing against kids, i was one... but someone else could have helped me... or the girls, clearly in their old world could have seen my growing impatience and said something like, this next one might be complicated, why don't you go first... kids shouldn't monopolize 4 employees for 20 minutes when it's busy so they can get some fruity overly complicated drinks read more

It's always a pain to get in and out of the parking lot of this Starbucks. I went in yesterday to pick up some cake cops for the kids and an iced tea. The drive thru had about 10 cars, so I went inside, and was relieved to see no one was inside. I STILL waited over 10 minutes for an iced tea. As I saw all the cars that were in the drive thru line leave, it became frustrating, especially as I was now running late. I was disappointed I'd tipped, as well. People need to stop being so impatient! Yes sometimes this place can be hard to get first class service but let's face it people...... What is the big deal to wait say maybe 5 minutes to get your stuff. I mean come on folks! This is the only Starbucks in our area. People flock to this place from every side of town. I have never had to wait more than 5 minutes on a Saturday morning when the drive through was 15 deep and the inside was 15 deep as well.
