This branch of Starbucks is located in Rivington Services, now operated by Eurogarages. It is located just after the Macron Stadium on the M61. It is actually the only motorway services on the M61.
This branch of Starbucks is quite nice it isn't a standalone store and is in the complex with the rest of the services, which overall is quite poor.
One thing I disliked about this store was the pricing, it was so expensive for example a tall latte would cost 45p more here and my Large Caramel Macchiato would cost 75p more here compared to an average Starbucks owned store, or the latter would at least cost 20 - 25p more than another Eurogarages franchise location such as at the branch in Rochdale.
The staff did seem really friendly, it was quiet when I visited but the guy working seemed really nice.
There was a small yet poor selection of merch such as mugs, but for a motorway service station this is okay.
My drink quality was quite good, and it was nice inside the store but because of the high pricing I sadly don't feel ths store deserves anything over 2 stars, if you don't mind going out of your way you could get off the motorway and head to the Middlebrook Retail park and go into the Starbucks there which is cheaper, however due to having to get in a retail park car park, it could take longer but that would be a nicer place to stop but due to good drink quality and good service this is a reasonable Starbucks branch, hence deserving a high two star rating but due to such expensive pricing I sadly don't feel I can do any higher. read more
