Normally my favorite place for a good , relaxing drink. But this location appears to not know how to make this drink properly. I ordered extra lavender cold foam. I'm not what on Earth this is. Ordered the exact same order I have been ordering for years. Happened to be three drinks this time, a Venti and two Grandes. The venti was 3/4 full and the "Grandes" were two TALLS 3/4 full as well. Went inside to ask where my money went as the drinks i payed for weren't full and all they had to say was that the size I order is irrelevant as the drink itself is a specific amount... and they can't change that even though i payed for a bigger size AND extra oatmilk. The girl ended up giving us two big cups of milk to "fill it up ourselves" never going here again. read more

If your on the road and you want to stop for a Starbucks- keep driving. Stop in Colby. Baristas are rude and they are super slow - I will neve stop here again. No need to stop in Hays. read more

After spending the night in Hays, KS, I was pretty happy to wake up, check my Starbucks app and know that there was a stand alone Starbucks nearby that I could place a mobile order at. I'm not sure I understand the negative reviews here. Is it amazing coffee? No, but it's a Starbucks. I think this one is pretty par for the course. The drink I ordered tasted right, they were pretty fast, and it seemed clean inside. I'm not in the area much, but I was glad Hays had a Starbucks and overall it was a good stop for us as we started our day to return home to KC. read more

Starbuck's is too cheap to pay their workers a fair wage so they close the store to pickup customers and make everyone wait in the drive thru. The sign says "due to a staff shortage," but that's BS. They should be honest with their customers and say they have a "pay shortage." The fact that they make online order customers wait behind drive-up order customers isn't right and instead they should turn off mobile ordering while they can't support pickup orders. But, I'm sure that would make them lose sales. In exchange for making this sale and the unnecessary wait it incurred, they get this totally appropriate 1-star review and I hope corporate sees this and starts to appreciate the failing of leadership to invest in their people. Least friendly Starbucks that I have been to on our trip through Kansas. There was no hello there was no hi there was no welcome to Starbucks. I asked for my egg bites to be double cooked toasted to be exact. They should sure hit it back super fast which was hmmm okay looked at it nope it was still somewhat cold. Kewl kewl. read more

Was traveling through and almost didn't stop at this Starbucks due to the poor yelp reviews. Rest assured, this location was excellent. My drink was perfect, my food warm, & service was pleasant and very quick. The store and bathroom was very clean as well. read more

I do not like leaving negative reviews at all because I understand it's a weird time and customer service work is hard BUT I genuinely could not drink my order it was that bad. I order the same thing every time so it is not that I was trying something new. When you are paying $8 for a coffee it goes without saying you expect it to be palatable. I understand Hays has limited coffee options and this Starbucks is convenient. However, I will not be returning. That's $8 I will never have back. read more

This is by far the worst Starbucks I have ever visited. It must be a rule that you have to have ZERO customer service skills to work here. The drinks are ok but the service is TERRIBLE. Not to mention they have a tendency to close prior to their posted closing hours. read more

Not very happy with starbucks today. First time I went in I asked how to use an online gift card. They turned me away. Second time I went in (after I found out how to use the gift card on my own) was 20 minutes before closing and the door was locked and they turned the lights off as I tried to open the door after they saw me. Nothing irks me more than when a business closes earlier than the time printed on the door. read more

I was in town on a trip to visit family. Starbucks was a familiar place to go, given I am a regular at my local one. The social environment here, however, is lacking. It could just be the workers I interacted with, however, I was really disappointed when I picked up my mobile order. I received no greeting, not even any acknowledgement that I was there. Terrible service. Out of the 5 employees there were, only 1 was making coffee and he was obviously very new and very slow. The one that was making the coffee went to the back to grab some syrup and as he was walking back up, he dropped it and spilled syrup all over the ground. He then proceeded to clean it up off the floor with the counter sanitizer (anyone that works in a restaurant knows this is a major no due to sanitation), then put the disgusting rag back in the sanitizer bucket instead of tossing it, then proceeded to make coffees without even washing his hands. My order was supposed to be done 10 minutes prior to when I finally got it and it tasted totally wrong, but I wasn't about to wait around for another 10 minutes for the dirty, slow employee to remake it. Train your people better or don't leave them to make things alone. The other 3 employees could have EASILY pitched in and should have stopped him from "cleaning" up the mess the way he did, especially since he didn't even wash his hands after scrubbing the floor. I wouldn't go near this place again with a 10 foot pole. read more
