Then one of the kitchen guys reprimanded another kitchen worker essentially telling him to just prepare the food and to not talk back because "no one needs to hear that." Staff honestly seemed like they were in their own world and had no idea customers were around and could over hear everything. I have sat at multiple counters and have never experienced such disregard for the over hearing ears of customers. We won't return to this location, but will try a different one because the food was good!

And yes, I was comparing it to Kolache Republic. Slightly different, much bigger, and proportionally more expensive. Soft sweet dough, not quite the same as KR or my family's but close. Sweet creamy cheese filling, again slightly different but close. And I'd be hard pressed to pick a favorite. KR has more imaginative fillings, though they also have the standards which Joe's has. Service was great. Prices are reasonable. Was in and out quickly. I'd love to have this nearby, and am glad KR is handy enough for me. The two waitresses working that night were super friendly and welcoming, even though I didn't catch their names.
