I literally go to Starbucks only for their Green Tea and bagels. The last 2 times I've been there their bagels tasted absolutely awful and each time it had been before work so I couldn't just get back in line and ask for one that didn't taste like a burnt toaster. It literally tasted like they sprinkled the burnt toaster bits on the bagels. And it was so sad to waste the money so of course I ate them but it was truly terrible and so disappointing! read more

The employees are sweet, and the drinks taste good, but they are NEVER FILLED. From working in cafes for years, I am sure this is down to poor milk steaming techniques. They are always only 2/3 full. Pictured was a caramel brulée latte, which is meant to have whipped cream and topping. This is exactly as it was served, and this has now happened several times for me and other members of my family. ICED tea...had several items and I didn't notice until I got to work. We don't just have access to ice at. I also ordered a trenta refresher, the drink is so watered down...absolutely awful and they claim this size has two scoops of freeze dried strawberries and to top it off my straw is busted. The dining room was out of straws and no one told us when we ordered. I ordered a drink that needed a straw (an iced mocha with whip cream). The barista brought it out with the dome lid as usual. When I asked for a straw I was ignored the first time. The second time the barista rudely told me they were out of straws and just stared at me. I asked her how I'm supposed to drink my coffee and she rudely told me she had a spoon I could use. I was driving and couldn't believe it. I originally left then went back to ask for a larger cup and a sipping lid. Easy solution! How did they not think of this! Poor service and attitude. I do not recommend this Starbucks. A spoon? Love the friendly staff and amazingly efficient way they take on the whole town without missing a beat. Its a small place and they handle a lot of people and there isn't much wait time between customers. Hardly ever do they mess up a drink and the few times they had they totally made up for it. On the 3 hour drive from Chico back to the Bay Area I got hungry. I was also 8 months pregnant so I was extra hungry. We pulled up to the drive thru and I realized that my truck barely fit in the lane. I was scarred I was going to get stuck. I wanted one of their hot sandwiches to go with my decaf iced Americano but their oven wasnt working. The Starbucks hot sandwiches are apparently inedible if they are not hot. So its been conveyed from the employees when Ive asked. At this point my sister jumped out of my truck and went inside the store to use the bathroom. I got my iced coffee and a muffin instead. My son got a chocolate milk and a muffin too. Their parking lot is dark and if it wasn't in the middle of farm country I would have been scurd but there was nothing for miles and I wasn't to freaked out. So no sandwich for me just a Blueberry Muffin for the long, long drive home. read more

This is the Starbucks closest to me however I will most likely take extra time and start going somewhere else. This place is out of the strawberry refresher every day by 1 pm. I travel to Gridley 2-3 times a year to visit family and I go to Starbucks in Gridley while visiting. My order in Gridley is incorrectly made 50% of the time. I go to Starbucks everyday where I live. I order the same drink every time and it's always made correctly. It's not a tough drink, but somehow they mess it up in Gridley. So frustrating!!! Get your act together people. read more

As the only coffee shop in town there is not another option to avoid this location. I'm a Starbuxer and as such that's the only way I gave two stars. Each time I go to this location the service is terribly slow, I'm usually left asking for my coffee which is wrong, my breakfast sandwich is usually cold, and I spend more time in the lobby than actually drinking coffee. Im new to this location but wish so much I could trade these team members for the happy, friendly, and courteous team members that made any wait bearable. Being that this is the closest starbuck to me, I tend to end up here a few times a month. I have never had a bad experience. Today, I ordered my drinks from on the app and arrived at the store not even 3 minutes later (at about 5pm) My drinks were ready! The young man who was working (I didnt catch his name) was very personable. He greeted me, had a big smile on his face and was super friendly. After countless visits, I have finally come to terms with the fact that this is undoubtedly the worst Starbucks I've ever been to. The Drive Thru never takes less than 6-8 minutes - today it was 11 mins, but at least they warned me there would be a significant wait, although it was AFTER I ordered and a car was behind me leaving me blocked in. The baristas are not conscientious of their surroundings. Especially evident as one employee asked their supervisor multiple distracting questions while the supervisor was taking an order from a guest. And my regular drink directly off the menu varies in flavor each time I order it. It's frustrating. You expect a certain standard from the Starbucks name and this location does not uphold that standard. Unfortunately it's the only coffee in town so I will continue to be disappointed. read more

The girl that rang me up was a complete idiot. If you see my other reviews I try to refrain from name calling but good God! I literally told the girl Pile place code IF YOU HAVE IT, before I paid. She said ok, transaction complete and wouldn't you know!? They were out and brewing a new pot. (I've got family waiting on me mind you) A guy steps in and says it would be just a minute. So I sit my happy a$$ down for about 12 minutes right by the register!!!! I finally get up and ask if there's any other coffee ready now. Deer in the head lights! She couldn't even remember what I ordered. When I told her and she finally remembered I saw the light bulb just flick on. She got my coffee and murmured I think what was an apology. Seriously? Get your $h!t together. I pass this Starbucks often traveling back and forth between Chico and Bay Area. Now I know to make a point to get coffee before or after this place. read more
