$7 drink that isn't full or made properly. Staff don't care and it shows.

Honestly this location is terrible on multiple levels, and doesn't sound like staff were trained to make anything correctly. Lines are slow, I never had a drink that was made properly, and they only fill up your cup 1/2 or 3/4 full. Overall save your time and money, try a keurig instead.

Interior of the Starbucks in Giddings, TX.

Giddings is a midpoint for road tripping between Houston and Austin. It also where some marching band contests are hosted. Thus, a Starbucks should be a consistent oasis. This location, however, falls short. I recently visited the Giddings location while under-caffeinated and hungry. I began my adventure in the drive thru. I asked about which drip coffees were ready. I ordered two simple grandes. One for my personal cup and one regular. I never got to the snack order there. I was curtly told they require me to come inside for my coffee. Now, I understand that they didn't want to take my personal cup through the window, but to refuse altogether is unacceptable. Never the less, I agreed to go inside without complaint. The whole vibe of the place was off. Once inside it appeared that only two workers were present. The drive thru was moving, but there was a small line of customers at the counter and a few seated. I waited in-line with my companion. We chatted while observing the workers scurry without approaching the counter. After awhile, it became our turn. The barista was clearly frazzled. I placed the same two-coffee order. I was instructed to put my cup into a coffee mug. The mug containing my cup then sat on the counter in front of the drip coffee for at least 15 minutes. By the time we got the coffee, it was cold. Drip coffee is typically the fastest drink to get at Starbucks. Most times the cup is filled and handed right back. At most it's within a few minutes because the brew is ready to go. Meanwhile, new people came in and waited at the counter. They received zero human attention. After ten minutes or so, they simply left without ever speaking with an employee. Additionally, no cream, sugar, etc is available for self serve. This means waiting for an employee to respond to verbal pestering, because they avoid eye contact. There is an additional oddity of this location. In the corner between the exterior doors, a longish table runs into the corner. On the table is a large television facing into the corner. An obscured individual was sitting in the corner between the walls and the face of the sizable TV. It was quite odd. Overall, this location is slow and unfriendly.

If I wanted my dragon drink BLENDED, I would've asked for it blended. I don't like the pieces all crumbled up- I like them whole. The drive thru line was long, so I went inside hoping it'd be faster. Not much. I didn't ask for a remake because it would've taken too long and I was running late. Customer service has gone downhill here in the afternoon/evenings. Morning crew has their sh*t together. I'm tired of going here and consistently having my drink made wrong.

Usual Starbucks quality. Had the iced Americano. Lucky to be in the 10% of my usual Starbucks experiences . Rare for Starbucks where the coffee is decent. This place is located in the middle of highway between Austin and Houston. There is a general sense if optimism as most folks visiting are on vacation?!?

Stopping by on route from Houston to Austin

Excellent coffee stop on route 290 from Houston to Austin with good seating options, righter cheerful space than typical Starbucks, roomy drive-they and super clean washrooms. This store has all the usual Starbucks offering One comes to expect in every Starbucks. I skip all other coffee stop and prefers a prefix I le vood cup of Americano and clean washroom over saving $0.30-0.50 but suffer a sour cup of drip coffee. Will be back on my way back from Austin to Houston.
