I visited Starbucks in Ensenada, México [Blvd. Costero Lázaro Cárdenas 678] on Monday, 05/18/26 around 10:30 AM. At the front counter, I was pleasantly welcomed by Ale. Her hospitality was kind and warm from the get-go. As I was ordering my drink, I pulled out my Starbucks app for payment. Ale informed me that the Starbucks app doesn't work in México due to the usage of a different system compared to the United States. It was a slight bummer (because I wanted to earn stars for the rewards program) but I simply used my credit card. The drink menu presented in México was unique and different in such a great way. What stood out to me was the offering of the Lavanda Mocha Blanco Frappuccino (Lavender White Mocha Frappuccino). It was a seasonal spring drink featuring espresso, white chocolate, and subtle floral lavender flavor, blended with ice and finished with whipped cream. When I tried it, I was so impressed with the execution. It was beyond delicious, as all of the flavors went well together. The inside of the coffee shop was inviting and spacious. The restroom was well-maintained and clean, though only one bathroom stall was operating at the time (it caused a slight delay in waiting). The price point of the coffee was about the same just like in the United States. Overall, this Starbucks location met standards. I recommend coming here, especially to have a drink that is typically not offered in the U.S. read more

Busy Starbucks location as it is located near the cruise port and downtown area. Expect a long line if coming here when a cruise ship is in port. Most of the staff here speak English here and the menu is also in English. Their offerings are pretty much the same as in the US, with a few items that I have not seen back home (mostly food/pastries). Prices are similar to the US, as is standard with any Starbucks I've been to in the world. They accept cash (both USD or MXN), credit cards, and Starbucks cards. We come to Ensenada on a weekend cruise on a regular basis, and we always get in to this Starbucks. The coffee on a cruise ship is barely passable, so it feels great to get a nice cappuccino here. It is clean, nice bathrooms, and decent Wifi. What not to like, right? read more

I love me some Starbucks, so I was pleased to see that Ensenada has 2. I collect the "You Are Here" mugs, and have a cool little collection going so far, so of course I had to stop by and get my Mexico mug. Yayyyy. Pricing here is the exact same at in the states... and you are able to use your SBUX card. I was even able to load it, although the receipt showed local currency, so that was a little confusing... and I hoped that I really paid 551 pesos, and not US dollars. I got to try a Horchata Frappuccino which was super delicious, however... as we were walking back to our cruise ship, a little girl came up and begged for my frap. Of course I gave it to her and of course immediately after I felt like crap for spending a ton of cash of fraps for me and my kids and souvenir cups and then there stood some poor, poverty stricken girl who was begging for my drink. I myself am I partner and I cannot stress what a terrible experience I had here. The boy taking my order told me I could only order ONE drink per person. I asked him again to clarify and he said the same thing. I was truly in disbelief b/c that's ridiculous. In the end an amazing young lady explained to us what I guess he meant to say which was only 1 person at the reg at a time. Yea Starbucks is Starbucks wherever you go BUT this location is nice. They even have a chimney 0_O kinda cool feature to have especially because it's near the marine and it gets so chilly at night. The spanglish menu is kinda cool. The employees are so nice and friendly. Also, You pay with dollars and you get your change in pesos. Okay, service is bad here not going to lie. In the summer, I went to Cancun and had this amazing açai yogurt frappe drink and obviously I've never gotten that in the states. During that vacation, every time I've gone to Starbucks, that's what I got, however I come here and realize that they don't have it, which isn't a big deal. But they have an açaí tea and a yogurt frappe, usually you can ask the baristas to add stuff, which is an option in the app. However, I asked if they could add a scoop of açaí into the yogurt frappe, and obviously I don't expect them to do that if they can't. But the lady literally glared at me, gave me this disgusted face and said "ew." Like I totally understand if you can't do it, that's absolutely fine, but the comment was totally unnecessary, thus I ended up not ordering anything. So while the bathroom is... decent and the wifi exists, the service was actually one of the worst service that I've ever received, absolutely unimpressed. read more

There are times though, I`ve got to admit, when life is just too much. Sometimes I want a smile, gosh darn it, and if all I can get is a fake one, I`ll take it.
